"See, I told you a little retail therapy would help." Noami beamed with delight as we walked out of the second store we had been in today.

"You were right." I chuckled as I agreed with her.

My mood was definitely a lot different compared to when I woke up this morning. I was still dealing with all the drama with Sterling. While it felt good to take control of the situation it sucked that we ended up in it in the first place. I had to take my mind off it all so I called Noami.

After the slap to the face Sterling had given me the day off. Apparently he felt it was well deserved and would do me some good considering we leave on a business trip in two days. Thank god his father was joining us. I may have taken back my power but who knew how well that would last if I was alone with him for a few days.

"It also helps that you got that cute guy's phone number." She smirked.

Noami and I had met up at one of the coffee shops. While we waited there had been a handsome man about my age who had approached me. He introduced himself and we began to flirt back and forth. Before I knew it he had me agreeing to go out with him for dinner tonight.

"Yeah that does help." I responded.

"Perfect day to go shopping too." She added. "We can finish up by getting you something new to wear for tonight."

"That's not a bad idea." I gave her a small smile.

We walked a little further down the sidewalk. I glanced over to one of the shops and accidentally bumped into someone. I looked ahead of me and started apologizing to the back of the woman I had clashed with. "I'm so sorry!"

"You should be." She spoke as she turned around. Her brown eyes looked me up and down with disgust. "Oh, it's you. Shouldn't you be at work doing your job?"

Of all people to run into it had to be Elise. I could tell she was just as happy as I was about this. She was accompanied by two friends who had turned around as well and glared at me.

"He gave me the day off." I responded, not that it really was her business.

"Oh did he?" She raised a brow and glanced between her two friends before looking at me smugly. "He must be out ring shopping or something. We've been talking about taking the next step and he insisted on taking me out to dinner tonight."

"Oh Elise!" One of her cronies chimed in. "That's amazing! You'll make a beautiful bride!"

"You'll be such a great addition to the Tipton legacy!" Her other friend added. "They're lucky to have you!"

It was annoying how over the top they were being. I wasn't sure if this was on purpose or just their personalities. Either way these two definitely were perfect for Elise. I could already tell they probably did anything and everything she asked of them.

"That they are." Elise smiled. "It'll be nice being married into the family, they all already love me anyway."

I didn't even attempt to hide the obvious chuckle that came from me. Elise's smile turned sour by my response. It was clear on her face she wasn't happy about it. I'm not sure what else she expected though.

"What was that for?" She glared at me.

"Were you not there at Thanksgiving dinner?" I asked her. How could she be that dense to not pick up on the fact the Tipton's didn't like her. "You know, when Sterling kicked you out for threatening his sister."

"That was a misunderstanding." She spoke calmly but I could tell in her demeanor I had struck a nerve. "Sterling and I are perfectly fine now."

If things between them were so fine then why had he eaten me out in his office and had me suck him off? For someone Killian and Scarlett claimed to be so evil she clearly was oblivious to how miserable Sterling was. Unless she liked him that way.

"I'm sure you guys are." The sarcasm was clear in my words. "I've heard only good things."
"What do you mean?" She seemed a little nervous about my response.

"I know how you're keeping your perfectly manicured talons into him." I informed her. She wasn't the first bitch I've ever dealt with and she wouldn't be my last. "I heard how you keep threatening to harm yourself every time he tries to leave you."

Noami and Elise's friends just stood back and observed our conversation. This was clearly just between Elise and I.

"Listen, I don't know what kind of history you two had but it's done." She took a step closer as she spoke coldly. "He's mine now and he always will be."

"Really?" I scoffed. "If he's really your's Elise then why does he want me so fucking badly? It's not a secret he's been trying to leave you, you're just manipulating him because you know inside he has a kind heart. Eventually he will call your bluff or someone will tell him the truth about how you faked taking some pills."

"And do you think that you'd be the one to tell him?" She scowled at me. "There is zero evidence proving I faked anything. You can tell him what you want but he won't believe you, I have him wrapped around my finger. If anything it'll make you look worse."

I could tell she was trying to be threatening. I wasn't scared of her though. Being orphaned somehow made it so I didn't fear a lot of things. Spoiled bitches were no exception.

"Really?" I sardonically smiled. "Because I'm pretty sure if he had me get on my knees for him again he'd believe anything that came out of my mouth in seconds."

Just because I didn't talk about it with anyone but Noami didn't mean I had anything to hide. Sterling was the one who had only brought this on himself. This was his secret and it was about time he dealt with the consequences of it. Hell he could even use it to his advantage to get away from her if he really wanted to.

"Of course he did." She rolled her eyes. "I doubt it really meant anything to him. You're just his help and he had a need that had to be taken care of. He would never touch someone like you."

"Oh really?" I raised a brow. "Then when you're out at dinner with him tonight, why don't you ask him how my pussy tastes?"

Her jaw practically dropped to the ground along with her friends. I didn't give her the opportunity to recover from the blow of my words. I turned around and headed in the opposite direction with Noami. She glanced back to Elise and then back to me.

"You're a badass." Her tone held some amusement to it. "Her face is so red and it looks like her head's going to explore."

"Good." If Elise thought she could bully me, she had another thing coming.
