Chapter 12

"hey Midoriya," greeted Kaminari with a smile

"Hey, Kaminari kun. how are you?" asked Izuku.

"I... can't answer that with a happy face," said Kaminari as he broke into giggles, bewildering Izuku and Ichigo.

"Eh, sorry, I'm into dark humor," said Kaminari as he stopped giggling, and his face turned into one similar to a kicked puppy, sad and adorable.

"Kaminari kun, you remind me a lot of my sister," said Izuku, resisting the urge to pat on his head. I mean, he did look like a puppy.

"Why? Is she dumb too?" asked Kaminari, and Izuku's aura started to suffocate everyone in the radius of 10 meters.

"CALL. MY. SISTER. DUMB. AGAIN. AND. I'LL. PLUCK. EACH. AND. EVERY. HAIR. OUT. OF. YOUR. HEAD. WITH. A. PAIR. OF. TWEEZERS. VERY. VERY. PAINFULLY."

"I-I-I d-didn't mean t-t-to call her d-dumb. I-it's just I-I'm r-really dumb, s-so I thought..." stuttered Kaminari, scared for his life.

"Oh okay," said Izuku in his normal cheerful tone as over a dozen people sighed in relief at the same time.

"And you're not dumb. Those were some smart moves you used in the dungeon," said Izuku with a smile.

"O-oh..." muttered Kaminari, stunned by the sudden mood change but happy that he called him smart.

"Anyways, What I meant was that you're as cute as my sister," said Izuku.

"Thank you," said Kaminari with a close-eyed smile.

"You're welcome.

Now, why did you call us Yaoyorozu san?" asked Izuku.

"Well, I just wanted to check on you guys, since... you know," said Ichigo.

"Oh... I am fine now. Though I must thank you both, even though they threatened you both yet you chose to defend me," said Izuku gratefully.

"Don't thank us, that's what a hero should do. Plus you did save us from that spider thingy moments before. We wouldn't have slain it had you not helped," said Ichigo as Kaminari nodded.

"Now moving on. Do you guys still want to go hunting?" asked Ichigo, and both nodded.

"Yeah. However, I would prefer to go with you both, since I trust only you guys with this," said Izuku.

"I wanted to say the same thing. We three should go together. We know we work great as a team, and Midoriya san was unscratched even after defeating the boss. We both also sustained only slight damage and injuries. If needed, any one of us could easily one-shot a D-rank or even a low C-rank dungeon. The three of us could easily take on a high-level dungeon," said Ichigo.

"Then... why not do that?" asked Kaminari.

"Huh? But we need at least 10 people to enter a dungeon," said Ichigo.

"Yeah, on paper. We can just get a few people to sign up and go inside alone," said Kaminari matter-of-factly.

Ichigo and Izuku just looked at him with open mouths.

"W-what happened?" asked Kaminari nervously.

"And you said you were dumb?"

Izuku was now at home. He had ordered something at the restaurant, which was contaminated or something because the system showed him the message-

So now, Izuku was sitting with the sack of Rasaka's venom in his hand, as he drowned it in one gulp.

Izuku's eyes widened as he smirked with triumph. It was then his phone buzzed, showing a call.

"All Might? Why is he calling me right now?" muttered Izuku.

"Young Midoriya, how are you feeling?" asked All Might in his normal form. 

Over time, Izuku had begun to admire All Might's normal form way more than the buffed-up buffoon form. The All Might world knew him as was a two-dimensional person who had no flaws and was comparable to a robot. However, this All Might, this was someone who he could truly admire. As they say, even the greatest have flaws, but those flaws only make them greater.

So right now, Izuku was grinning at his idol, showing how he had gotten over his setback.

"Nice to see you're doing fine Midoriya," said All Might as he smiled.

"So All Might, why did you call me here? I thought we weren't supposed to train till tomorrow?" asked Izuku.

"That is the schedule, however, I am here to tell you that your training is complete," said All Might, and Izuku's eyes widened.

"W-what do you mean All Might?" asked Izuku, confused.

"What I am saying is that the training was to build up enough muscle to give you One for All without the risk of you exploding from the power. I'd say we're at that stage. so you can stop cleaning the beach and focus on dungeons," said All Might.

Truth to be told, there was another thing. What he said was true, however, this was also a test for his successor. Since his successor could level up, would he decide to go after power forgetting his roots and his aim to be a hero and just leave the beach as it is or would he still clean the beach out of pure intentions?

"Hmm... All might, I'll accept the quirk. But my training is not complete," said Izuku, and All Might looked at him, confused.

"Well, the goal of the training was to build up muscles, which I achieved, but the finish line, I have not reached that yet. The finishing line is this beach getting cleaned. Now, why would I stop? In fact, now that I have more muscles, instead of only the part you told me to, I can clean the whole beach. You know, plus ultra style," said Izuku with a million-watt smile.

"Y-Young Midoriya, this was a test to see whether you still remember your reason to become a hero or not. I must say, you have once again exceeded my expectations. Any other guy in your place would have pounced onto the opportunity of going around clearing dungeons, but you still stuck around to do what many consider trivial. I wish there were more people like you," said All Might.

"I-I don't know what to say All Might," said Izuku, becoming numb due to the praise. Like who does that?

I WAS NERVOUS OKAY! No one ever praised me before like that.

"However, there are more like me. I have met a few, and I promise you that you don't have to worry about the future after I- scratch that, we graduate. We'll do our best," said Izuku with an earnest smile.

"Y-Young Midoriya, you have truly shown me that you're heroic to the bone. You have overcome so many obstacles, even putting your life in danger for those who scorned at you. You truly deserve One for All," said All Might as he buffed up.

"Now..." he said as he plucked a hair.

"... EAT THIS!"
