Thursday night I was getting the girls ready for the basketball game. They were excited! They met Jay for the first time and they liked him surprisingly. Jay was being very helpful with Ava. I think she likes him too.
Me-*Yells* GIRLS! COME ON, TIME TO DO Y'ALLS HAIR!
They girls came walking in the bathroom. Kay came and sat on the counter.I started doing her hair.
Kay- When I go to the game I want some popcorn, a pickle, a Pepsi, and pizza.
Mya- You sound like a pregnant lady.
Kay- Ian pregnant fool!
Mya- I said you SOUND like a pregnant lady.
Chay- Ryan what did you eat when you were pregnant?
Me-*Chuckles* Everything.
Mya- Like?
Me- Hop up.
Kay got down and Mya got up. I started doing her hair.
Me-Well I mostly craved mozzarella sticks and waffles.
Mya- I love those!
Me- I ate them together.
Mya- Hold on. I don't do that. *Laughs*
Me- I was a big, fat, pregnant monster.
The girls laughed. I finished Mya's hair and I started flat ironing Chay's.
Chay- Are you and Jay going to have a baby?
Me-*Smiles* Should we?
Chay- No..
My smile faded.
Mya- We like him and all. Don't get us wrong...
Kay- Yea he's fun...
Chay- But....we don't want you to have another baby.
Mya- Not with him.
Me-*Frowns* Why?
Kay- Well you just had one.
Mya- Plus..
Chay- He's not uncle August.....
I looked at the girls through the mirror.
Me- *Clears throat* Sometimes girls...... You have to move on.
Kay- We know that.
Mya- But.
Chay- We want to be one big happy family again.
Me- We were a family..... But it wasn't happy......
Chay- I was happy!
Mya- Me too!
Kay- So was I!
Chay- You and uncle August both seemed happy!
Me- We had happy times.. We did.. But, I was hurting.. And I moved on. We're a family.. I just wasn't happy.
Chay- Jay makes you happy?
I smiled and nodded.
Mya- If your ,
Kay- Happy,
Chay- We're.
Them- Happy. *Smiles*
I smiled.
Me- Thank you bugaboos. For understanding.
I kissed their cheeks.
Me- Now let's catch us a basketball game!
The girls ran out the bathroom. I walked out laughing. Jay was putting Ava a jacket on.
Me- I'll take her from here.
I took her from him and kissed hers and his cheek.
Jay-Ready?
Me- Yea lets go.
Jay grabbed my hand and we walked out hotel room. The whole way I thought about my life.. And who I want to spend the rest of it with.... I don't want to lose a good man like Jay. I don't. But... I have Ava to think about too.
