I decided to go to Denny's.. We been riding in silence this whole ride.

I stopped the car.

"Kayla.. Is you mad at me?" I turned to her.

"No August." She said and opened the door and got out.

Calm down Aug.. Calm down. Just talk to her and MAKE her talk to you.

I got out the car and slammed the door.

"KAYLA... GETCHO ASS OVA HEA' RIGHT QUICK."

She turned around and looked around as if she didn't know I was talking to her. I pointed at her and motioned for her to come.

"What?!"

"I'm gon ask you one mo' time.. Is you mad at a nigga?" I raised an eyebrow

"No! Damnnit!" She said

"Prove it." I said and she leaned up and kissed me.

Is it bad that I liked when August kissed me? Is it bad that I kissed him? Is it bad that I like the way his lips felt on mine...

I hope Tyrese doesn't find out.

I pulled away from the kiss.

August cleared his throat and looked amused. "Huhh.. Damn." He mumbled

"S-sorry.. I could have proved it a different way." I said

"No need to be sorry ma." He laughed

I nodded.

We walked into Denny's and ordered.

"So.. Now bestfriend.. Tell me about yourself." I said

After I said that he started telling me alot of stuff. I feel bad for him, I know how it is to loose someone close to you. Then his ex, if I would beat her ass for breaking my beatfriends heart. After he told me stuff he asked me about stuff. I told him everything from my dad dying to my moms 'husband.'

"Okay.. I trust, you promise me you won't judge me or nothing?" I asked

"Na' why would I do dat?" He asked

"Right.. But okay. I used to have 'something' i guess with this guy named Marion and he told me I-"

"Hol' up... Marion? A lightskin nigga?" He asked

"You lightskin too thought. But yeah."

I said and I could tell he was getting mad.

"Continue." He said

"He told me I was just a sidechick.. That's when he went out with India, BUT I didn't know that nor did I know her. Then Tyrese.. My boyfriend, he used to hit on me and..." I started getting emotional.

"Don't cry ma." He said and came to my side

"It's just so hard.. Promise you won't get mad." I asked

"I won't Kayla.. I'm here for you." He wiped my tears

"Okay.. Tyrese is the one that shot me, and they had to bring me back three times." I looked at him. His jaw was clenched, fist were balled up and his eyes were teary.

"A-august?"

He shook his head and got up from the table. I just sat there.

Was it a mistake me telling him?
