(short) stubborn

Things happen because that's how the world works.

Mina scoffs.

She's stubborn alright. She doesn't settle for simple things, always wanting everything to have a reason.

Most of the time, it only leads her to disappointment and many emotions, and sudden emotional shut down.

Today she doesn't feel alright. She did something dumb last night, and she did something to overthink just now. She's not only stubborn, also an idiot.

She drowns in the bottomless part of her heart, feeling her stomach warm and empty at the same time.

Today is a good day, but she doesn't feel any better at the sight of the cloudy sky because it doesn't take the ache off her chest.

She's not alright. She isn't.

She admitted it so many times, and it should turn her okay but it doesn't. And damn it because it should.

The more she thinks of it, the more she wants to curse it out and maybe hit herself twice, thrice, because maybe (she thinks), just maybe it'll make her stop thinking about it.

She does none, and nothing goes away.

So she just sit there instead, under the sky, just letting the time do what it always do. Run mercilessly.
