Jessica's POV

"I watched Ghost and another marine fast rope to the desert floor after they landed ghost immediately started walking in the direction of our "Base" to bad its a trap but maybe we can recruit him that would be nice just me and him together."

Whenever they got out of my snipers range I moved closer to get a better view of them after a while Ghost stops and I swear he looks directly at me I quickly duck down from view and get to a different vantage point.

After I got to my new vantage point I take aim and see them talking probably to pass the time but soon they will be at our base and soon I will be able to talk with the ghost

Time: 01:35 am

Ethan's pov

Ghost and I have been roaming through the dessert of Egypt for a while now we had picked up a contract on a couple of innocent furs and civies that had been taken captive but as far as I can see it's just sand for miles.

"why the fuck are we in the middle of nowhere?"

I ask myself regretting my decision of picking up this contract and missing my old friends back home who were waiting for me

Suddenly Ghost stopped and started looking around as if anticipating something then he started walking again but looked as if he was hyper aware of everything now.

Ghost pov

As we're walking I feel as if I'm being watched I know this feeling to well by know I know exactly what it is a fucking sniper is watching us.

I chuckled knowing they were probably aiming right for the money I didn't care I'm a fucked up genocidal killing machine if I die it's doing the world a blessing

Ethan pov

The only thing I heard was our footsteps lightly tapping the ground when

Ghost "Do you feel that?"

He asks turning a bit

Ethan: Feel what?

I respond looking around and seeing vast mountains and dunes

Ghost "The feeling of death."

He says calmly

Ethan "no I don-"

I'm cut off when I feel the sensation of being watched it I look at ghost who is waiting for my response.

Ghost ".........."

Ethan: We are being watched.

I say in a worried tone I look up to see ghost not even react at what I just said.

Ghost "..........I know........"

he says turning around and beginning of walk again

Ethan: aren't you worried?

I ask trying to keep up with him

Ghost "No there is nothing we can do if they do decide to put a hole in our heads"

I was shocked by this and start becoming paranoid

Ghost "Ethan if you believe you are going to die then why not just try and come to terms with it?p

Ethan: what do you mean come to terms I'm only 25 I still have a life to live!"

I yell but try to keep my cool

Ghost "22

I was confused and tilt my head

Ethan "What?"

Ghost "I'm 22 years old so your older than me"

Ethan "No there's no way that's possible with as much experience as you have you have to at least be 35 or older."

I say the rumors were the ghost was at least in his 40s or 30s not 22

Ghost "Believe me I'm 22"

I could barely wrap my head around the idea but I took it as the truth

Ethan "Holy shit I didn't expect that how are you so deadly for being 22 there's no way you are this good without lots of military experience"

He takes a second and looks back

Ghost "I'm a wolf you can figure out the rest"

It took me a second but I connected the dots

Ethan "You your a wolf?! From the wolves?!"

I yell in shock and a bit of horror

Ghost "Yes and if you tell anyone I'll kill you and your friends that come looking for me"

He tells me I nod slowly as I asked a few questions

Ethan "So are you a group of furs? A group of wolf furs?"

I ask stupidly and jokingly

Ghost "no we call ourselves the wolf pack cause of how we "hunt" we usually hunt in packs of 6 and we usually surround our prey and isolate them once they are alone and begging for death we kill them in the most efficient and effective ways possible"

He says calmly

Ethan "that's really cool and disturbing thanks for opening up to me"

Ghost "I haven't opened up I'm just saying stuff I'm comfortable with saying and also we're here and our sniper friend is still following us."

He tells me but I ignored him smirking as I twitch a bit

"I finally tracked you down and I'm gonna make you pay For what you did to me."

Following him we climb one of the sand dunes me and Ethan take in the beauty of a palace lost in time that is now converted into a military base most likely where our hostages will be

It's confirmed when I see a patrol walk out of one of the broken palace walls.
