Chaeyoung unconsciously look up to Mina "He~ Heejin" she utter

"Everything will be fine" Mina

"Where are they taking her?" Chaeyoung

"They just need to do some test" Mina replied "We need to speak to her doctor"

Chaeyoung nodded, she's still not on her usual self, and still shock of what is happening. They were happy, and then one minute~ she can't even fake a smile.

They have waited for almost an hour, until a doctor came and spoke to them.

Dr. Shin Yang, Mina's ex boyfriend. The latter took them to his office, so that they can talk in private.

"She has brain tumor" Dr. Shin started

"Brain tumor?!" Chaeyoung asked in disbelief

Mina held her wife's hand "Chaeyoung, calm down"

Chaeyoung's brows furrowed "Where did she got it?" She asked the doctor

Shin glance at Chaeyoung and heave a deep sigh. He don't want to say it but he have to. "It's a rare case that brain tumors are linked to hereditary genetic factors or conditions. Bad genes from both parents may cause such things" He paused

Seeing the hurt on Chaeyoung's reaction made him want to stop giving such information. He's a good man, but he's also a doctor. And he needs to say such things.

"I saw Lee Ji-eun's medical record. And it's easy to say that she might got those unhealthy genes from her mother... Mrs. Son, a child has both of her parents genes. If Ji-eun has bad genes, then your genes should be the one to balance the shortcomings of the other one" Dr. Shin show Heejin's medical record to them "But in your case~"

He stop with that, Chaeyoung had enough. And he knows that the latter get it already.

Chaeyoung is an intersex, and she was once a patient of Mina's biological father. It's easy for her to understand that there's also something wrong with her genes, and she passed those to Heejin.

"Mrs. Son, we have to perform a surgery" Dr. Shin

Chaeyoung's brows furrowed "Surgery?"

Dr. Shin nodded "Brain surgery"

"Are you saying that you're going open her head??!" Chaeyoung

"Your daughter keeps on having a seizure. We're just waiting for your consent" Dr. Shin replied

"Chaeyoung, you have to make a decision" Mina told her wife

Chaeyoung looks at Mina's eyes, asking for help "What do you think?"
