Chapter 3: Betrayed?!?

A FEW MINUTES BEFORE SUNSET

Chase[nervous : H-Hey Skye do you want to go on a walk (I hope she says yes)

Skye: Sure. Where are we going? (Why would he want to go on a walk with just me I don't know. Unless he- no there's no way. Right?)

Chase: Well I know a great place to watch the sunset

Skye: That sounds good to me (Maybe he just wanted to show me that place)

Chase: Ok then let's go

They walk through the woods when suddenly Skye sees some eyes in the booshes

Skye [nervous]: H-hey Chase.
Chase: Yeah what's wrong Skye?

Skye [nervous]: I don't think we're alone.

Suddenly 4 wolves came out from the trees and surrounded them. Skye hides behind Chase as he enters a defensive stance and grows at them

Alpha Wolf: Looks like we've found dinner

Wolf2: Hahaha

Wolf3:*licks lips*

Wolf4: Hey that cockapoo looks familiar

AW: Wait isn't that the one that got away a long time ago

W2: Yeah it is. Now we can finally finish what we started years ago

W3: We've been waiting for this a long time little pup

*FLASHY BACKY*

Skye's mom: SKYE RUN

Young Skye[frightened and confused]: I don't want to leave you

Skye's dad: Skye you need to run as far from this place as you can don't stop until you've left this place. Just keep going until you're safe don't worry about us

Skye's mom: Remember to always have hope. Don't let anyone take your faith.

*The wolves leap from the booshes*

Skye's mom: Skye you need to run NOW!

AW blocks Skye and raised his paw to strike but is tackled by Skye's dad then she starts to run and doesn't look back, she ran until she falls into some booshes and starts to cry for her parents then she hears a voice and looks up and sees a german shepherd pup with warm amber eyes

???: What's wrong little pup?

Skye faints from exhaustion; she didn't know what it was but something about this pup made her feel at ease.

???[faint]: Ryder come over here quick! {whispers: You're going to be ok}

When she woke up she was in a strange place and she was frightened.
Skye: Whe-where am I?

???: Don't be afraid I'm not going to hurt you. You're safe here

Skye looks up and sees the same pup that found her before she fainted and she looked into the pup's warm eyes and immediately calmed down

???: What's your name

Skye: Sk-Sk-Skye

???: That's a nice name. My name's Chase

Skye: How did I get here?

Chase: well you see...

*FLASHBACK WITHIN A FLASHBACK*

Chase: I was walking back here when I heard you crying in the booshes and you fainted then I brought you here

*FLASHBACK-SEPSIN ENDS*

Skye: Thank you for saving me

Chase: You're welcome

Skye suddenly felt at ease and fell asleep with her head on Chase's chest

*Later that day*

Skye wakes up and sees that Chase is resting with his head on hers and blushes slightly then falls back asleep

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Chase: If you even lay a paw on her you will be sorry

W4: Oh yeah what are you gonna do about it lover boy

Then the wolf laughed. The Alpha wolf jumped at Chase. Chase dodged to the left and rammed his head into the side of the wolf. One wolf tried to grab Chase from behind but Chase kicked him in the face. The third wolf went after Skye but Chase jumped at the wolf tackling him to the ground The wolf threw Chase off of him. Chase tried to stand up, but his head started to hurt so badly he collapsed to the ground.

AW: Hello again pretty thing.

W3: How much fun do you think we can have with her?

AW:let's find out.

Chase: *gets back up* Hey!

All the wolves turn back to him.

Chase: I ain't dead yet MUTTS.

All the wolves charged at him Chase turned around and kicked one wolf into another and then slammed the other one on top of him.

AW: Your strength is impressive but it's a shame you won't be able to save her

Zach [coming from the BOSHES]: Yes it is. I hate seeing such power wasting away, but you're in the way.

Chase: What are you talking about Zach?

Zack: Well you see I'm going to kill her and without her, you're going to be lost and out of the way.

AW: Now watch.

The Alpha hit chase in the head so hard his ears started ringing. Chase tried to stand but the alpha pinned him to the ground.

Chase: You're Insane

Zach: I know *psychotic laughter and transforms into a human!?*
Zach approaches Skye and pulls out an
GIANT axe as two more wolves pin her against a tree. [Picture at the top]

Zach: Don't struggle. I promise this won't hurt ... Me. *laughs maniacally*

Skye closed her eyes and a loud slicing sound filled the air. Skye opened her eyes expecting death and saw Chase standing in front of her with a large gash across his side. Then he collapses to the ground with a thump A small smirk spread across Zach's face

Skye[frightened]: CHASE NOOOOOOO (I never even got to tell him that I love him)

Zack: Well then, it looks like my plan worked even better than expected. Come now we have other things to do. Good luck trying to take us down without your leader {and boyfriend}

Zach smirks at Skye evilly but she didn't see as she was to busy checking on Chase

Zach, the alpha, and the remaining wolves disappeared into the bushes.

Skye[frightened]: C-Chase are you ok?

Chase[weekly]: Yeah I-I'm okay

Chase tries to get back up but falls back down

Skye: Chase why would you do that?

Chase[weekly]: d-do what *coughs up blood*

Skye: Take that hit for me

Chase[weekly]: Be-because *cough* *cough* because I *passes out*
