Chapter 38: I am trying!!

Knock Knock

"Come in" Win said working on his papers

The door opened and closed and a tea cup was placed on the table.

"Thank you, Phukong" Win said looking at the tea cup, but then he realized that the hands was different

Win's head immediately snapped, because the hand was all too familiar

"Bright........." Win couldn't believe it.... He had dreamed of a day that Bright would serve him tea, he pinched his thigh and the pain told him that it was all too real..

Bright gave him the smallest smile a person could give and left the room

Bright knew he could never do this alone, he needed help and who better than Gulf

Gulf knew about Bright and Win's altercation due to Seo's death but what he didn't know that it was this Win, their very own president. So, when Bright broke the news to him, Gulf had no words at all, he had only seen Win previously once only 6 years ago...

"Do you have any plans for lunch" Bright texted him

"Not really, don't know about Mew's plan"

"Can you check with him Mew, I can't even plan anything with my friend due to his lover"

"Anything, special"

"I wanted to try to rectify things with Win... maybe, mom said to start slow"

"I see, wait...." Gulf said texting as he texted Mew on the side

"Take your time"

.

.

"Mew has no plans, we will take up your offer, tell me your plan"

"Let's meet up first..."

Bright met with Gulf prior to their lunch outing.... He wanted to invite Win as well but he didn't want to make the first move...this is where Gulf comes in and Gulf knew what he had to do

"Win, you free for lunch" Mew texted

"I am free, alone or +1" Win joked back, he knew that Mew would never come alone

"+2....."

"????"

"Nothing"

"I'll see you at the regular restaurant then"

"Meet you at 1:00 pm"

"Sure"

Mew, Gulf and Bright headed to the restaurant first and sat at the window, they were placing the order......

"I'll order the greek salad, basil chicken fried rice and water, please" Gulf placed his

"I'd like a Russian salad, well done steak and coke, please " Bright placed his..

"I'll get the greek salad, medium-well done steak and sprite also, I'll order another set of greek salad, medium-well-done steak..........."

"Medium" Bright interrupted Mew

"What?" Mew said eyeing Bright

"Medium steak and coke" Bright completed the order, he knew Win all too well

The server repeated their order and told the food will be out soon

Gulf and Bright excused to the toilet...........

"Mew, I am here" Win said as he spotted Mew and sat right across Mew

"Is there someone else coming?" Win said as he counted the cutlery "I though you would only bring Gulf with you, I don't see him"

"They are coming" Mew said

"They?"

"Hi, president Win" Gulf said as they approached the table

"Hey....." Win said turning towards the voice and then he stopped like as if the video was on pause

"Hello President" Bright said in a slow voice

"Hello Bright" This was the first time Bright had spoken to him whilst looking him straight in the eye

The boys settled down, Gulf next to Mew and Bright next to Win. They made small talks here and there as the food arrived

"Let's dig in" Mew said to everyone

"Finally, Mew...." Win said as he cut his steak "You have at last remembered the type of steak I like, you alway used to it wrong"

Mew looked up from his plate "I didn't order yours, Bright did"

And poor Bright, he choked on the food that he was eating.... "huk, huk" Bright coughed ..... Win immediately handed him the glass of water, as he drank Win patted him in the back slowly

"Better now" Win asked as politely as he could scared that Bright might have minded his touch

Bright just gave him a small nod and then continued eating.......

They continued to eat in silence as they didn't want any choking emergency to happen. Desserts were served and then tea...... unlike the others Mew ordered his Earl grey....

Mew was staring intently at Gulf making him uncomfortable

"Do you want the cake?" Gulf had to break the silence

"Yes"

"Here you go" Gulf said pushing the plate so that it would be placed in the middle now

Mew sat there , not scooping the dessert

"Are you not going to eat it?" Gulf asked again

Mew pointed his index finger towards Gulf indicating that he had to feed him no matter what....

"Are you crazy?" Gulf whispered to Mew, he had to be, they were out in the open, in the public there was no way that Gulf would be able to pull such a stunt

Mew remained silent...........he was sulking like a kid and Gulf couldn't believe it.

Gulf did a once over around the restaurant, no one was paying attention to them. He quickly scooped the cake with the same spoon and presented it to Mew

Mew did his signature smile, knowing that Gulf had lost and opened his mouth to engulf the cake that was presented

"This is sweet" Mew said chomping on the cake

"I know right" Gulf loved the flavor, he proceeded to feed himself next

"I meant the indirect kiss" Mew had his ways

And now it was Gulf's turn to choke on the cake but since it was a sponge cake, it dislodged on its own....

"Sorry, sorry, Drink this" Mew gave his tea to Gulf to sip

"How can you even drink this?, I make way better than this" Gulf said proudly

"I know, that why I am unable to finish this cup, I am craving your tea" Mew as time passed made Gulf blush like crazy......

The other side of the table was relatively silent..... Bright munching on his snacks and not believing that that was his best friend, Gulf acting all shy and then there was Win, wishing it was him and Bright flirting, as much as he was happy for them, he envied them as well.... Will he ever get a chance like this?.......................
