Chapter 6: Show Me Your Smile

"what the-

-who does this guy think he is?" Hana thought to herself.

"Based on your facial expressions, I'm guessing you don't want me to" Yeonjun said

"There goes the awkward tension between us, this guy needs to grow a brain" Hana told herself "he can't just tag along-"

"Come on! Just let me tag along!" Yeonjun pleaded in an innocent, annoying yet cute way.

"Give me at least three reasons as to why I should let you join me" Hana said in confidence, thinking he'd make lousy points and ultimately give up and leave her alone.

"Well... for starters, I could help you find whatever you're looking for much faster, secondly, that girl practically hired hitmen to go after you, so you might as well call me your bodyguard! Oh! And last but not least, we are already late to class, no point in showing up mid-lesson just to get screamed at." Yeonjun said in the most determined voice imaginable.

Hana stood in shock.

"How the hell am I supposed to make an argument against all those good points" Hana thought to herself.

"Aha! I see someone hadn't payed attention in that one debate lesson last week!" Yeonjun said laughing with himself.

"Great. There goes my nonexistent dream of being a politician" Hana said in a snarky tone as she turned around, arms crossed, rolling her eyes.

"So where are we headed?" Yeonjun said curiously as he catched up to Hana.

"We're retracing my steps, I lost my permission slip" Hana said grumpily.

"Oh, ok!" Yeonjun said with a smile.

"I'm.. gonna pretend I didn't see that smile" Hana told herself as she felt herself get flustered.

[oh! how the tables have turned!]

"Come one! Smile a bit more! Show me your smile!" Yeonjun said when Hana ignored Yeonjun's sincere smile.

"Yeah 'show me your smile', what I should really show him is my fist..." Hana thought to herself, "Geez, when did I become so violent.."

"Wait!" Hana stopped herself from walking any further.

Yeonjun, who had walked a couple steps ahead of her turned back to face Hana.

"I am retracing my steps, just because you have 3 valid points, doesn't mean you can tag along?!" Hana pointed out.

"I got too comfortable too quickly, I need to watch myself around these pretty boys." Hana told herself. "Eww... did I just call him pretty... if he had heard me he'd be teasing the heck out of me... yikes" Hana thought to herself.

"Earth to Hanakins! Hello?" Yeonjun waved his hand in front of Hana's face.
"I thought I lost you there for a second!" Yeonjun said smiling.

Hana has a brain fart.

They had an extremely serious staring competition that seemed to have lasted forever.

"Pretty boy here, won't leave until I say yes, he won't be a bother, he'll be helping me, I should just get this over with!!" Hana thought to herself in desperation.

"I know you'll shut up once I say yes, so come on, and what's up with that weird pet name?!" Hana exclaimed as they walked down the hallway towards the school entrance.

"Oh do you like it? I thought of it just now, and I found it quite cute, suits you well, right?" Yeonjun said with a huge smile on his face.

"That darned permission slip" Hana thought to herself...
