Hana's POV:

"White or silver?"

- I thought as I stared at myself in the mirror.

I couldn't choose between two pairs of high heels.

Donghyun was coming over for dinner.

My parents seemed way more excited than me about Donghyun coming over.

They were downstairs helping set the table.

I expected them to dislike the idea of another boyfriend, but it was clearly the opposite.

They began counting down the minutes until he got here.

And as soon as he did, they welcomed him with hugs and compliments.

"Hey" Donghyun leaned in, gave me a kiss on the cheek, and hugged me.

His sudden affection caught me off guard but it was really nice.

A familiar warmth possessed me.

Maybe they were butterflies,

All I knew was that it felt really nice.

My phone kept buzzing in my pocket so I quickly went upstairs to leave it in my room:

"Who's spamming my phone?-

'+8 New Message from 'Idiot'

A small smile spread across my face.

I hurried up the stairs, into my bathroom, and slowly closed the door.

I had been waiting all day for Yeonjun to reply, so when he did, I got excited.

He must have been busy with his grandma...

I got so carried away texting Yeonjun that I could barely hear my mother knocking on the door.

"Hana, what's taking so long?? We've been waiting for you" My mother seemed fed up.

I quickly put down my phone and walked out.

As I walked away from my room I could still hear it buzz on my counter.

Dinner never takes long... it's fine... I can text him later...

I nervously smiled and shamefully sat down next to Donghyun.

"Sorry I took so long" I apologized.

"It's fine sweetheart, I forgot how funny Donghyun was! Ever since you were little you were always so charismatic..." My dad went on complimenting Donghyun and reminiscing "on old times".

I got sucked into the conversation and soon enough, I forgot all about Yeonjun.

Donghyun's father is a really talented interior designer.

Him and my parents work together to design all our airports, so to cut a boring story short, our parents are best friends.

We've all had dinner together before, but this one was different now that we were... a "thing".

After dinner was over, we sat at the table for another thirty minutes just talking.

I sat back and realized how much fun I was having.

Is this the "Donghyun effect"?

My mom's phone suddenly rang.

My mind quickly raced back to Yeonjun:
