Nathan's POV:
"Yeah I guess so" I reply back to mom and Kaylee. Colby and dad then glanced at us from the living room and we walk up to Jade's room and chill out for a while. We relaxed until dinner time then we ate all together in the dining room then jade and I took showers. After our showers we laid on her bed and watched a movie. She laid on my chest and cuddled up to me and fell asleep. I love her so much. She is my best friend. I left after about an hour of her sleeping on me and I walked quietly to my room. One thing about jade is that she can have really bad nightmares sometimes and as soon as I left she was having one. I heard Colby run into her room to comfort her then I walked in. Colby went to lay down and sleep in bed with her but I spoke up. "Go back to sleep I'll stay with her" I say nervously. He gets up and pats my shoulder. "Thanks Nate" he says in a deep raspy voice as he walks out. I lay on the bed next to her and she is hysterically crying she lays on my chest and falls right to sleep. I played with her hair until I started to doze off. I put my hand on her back and fell asleep with her in my arms. I woke up the next morning to Jade talking softly and rubbing my forehead. "Bubba get up we have school" thank god the school week was almost over. I open my eyes to be met by her beautiful blue eyes. Okay I will admit it I like her but I doubt she likes me in that way. I get up and walk to my room and get dressed and then join Jade downstairs for breakfast. We sit and eat cereal while our parents have coffee and then we get in the car and drive to school. Like usual the school day was boring. We got home to see our parents not home. "Going away for a couple days you guys got the house to yourselves for the next 3 days. NO PARTIES" of course we were going to throw a party are you kidding me. Today was Thursday so why not throw a party. Everyone started to come over and there was alcohol. Jade and I drank even though were are under age. After about an hour or two I see a guy bringing jade upstairs. I don't think anything of it until I process who the guy was. Jackson. He was notorious for having sex with girls. I knew Jade didn't want that. I walk into jades bedroom to see her completely undressed expect for her underwear with Jackson about to touch her. I tackle Jackson and have my best friends Jake and Michael end the party and get Jackson out of here. I walk over to jade and pick up her head and she is completely out cold. He drugged her. I did the only thing I thought was right to do. I carefully put her in one of my shirts. I then carried her bridal style to my bedroom and laid her down on my bed. I then laid beside her and fell asleep instantly. I got up the next morning and cleaned the house from the party aftermath. After I was done it looked like nothing happened last night. Only thing I was worried about was Jade. Thank god I trusted my instincts and followed them. I got to them before he could do anything thankfully. After about an hour of cleaning. I hear Jade come downstairs. She immediately runs to me and hugs me and cry's into my chest. "Thank you for helping me last night. I don't remember anything past me walking upstairs with him" "it's okay your safe now I would never let anything like that happen to you" I whisper. She then looks at me and kisses my cheek. Holy shit I blushed so bad. Thank god she didn't notice as she was walking away. "I know your blushing" she says laughing while walking up the stairs. "AM NOT" I say laughing back. We get ready and go to school. There was a party at Josh's tonight so we decided to go. We get there and we drank again. We get into the car to drive home and Jake and Michael were in the front seat. They were both drunk as well and they were driving. We were all fooling around in the car then everything goes black. I wake up to Jade's voice. "Nathan get up, Nathan please wake up" she says crying. I open my eyes and hold my head in pain. We just got into a car crash I know that is what just happened. Jade helps me out of the car and I see Michael on the hood of the car. He went through the windshield. Jake is passed out we manage to get him up and out of the car. I think Michael is dead. I hope not. We sat and waited for the ambulance to arrive and they checked us out on the way to the hospital with Michael. We get into the waiting room to wait for an update on Michael when our parents walk in. They don't say anything they just hug us. Colby then talks to jade while he is crying. "I thought I lost you" he then hugs me and so does Kaylee. We are sitting there waiting for the update when the doctor comes out to talk to us. "What happened?" Jade asks hesitantly. "We tried everything we could but we couldn't revive him" he says that and Jade falls into my arms sobbing. "NO" she screams. I felt the tears stinging my eyes as I fell to the floor with her in my arms. "This is my fault" I say crying. Colby then grabs my face. "Hey where you the one driving. No. This is not your fault. Don't do that to yourself. I know exactly what you are going through right now" he then wraps his arms around the two of us along with mom, dad and Kaylee. We sit there sobbing for at least a half and hour in our parents embrace. We decided to stay to see how Jake was doing. He only has a minor concussion. He would be facing jail time for an 1 account of murder also since jade and I were in the car 2 accounts of attempted murder since we didn't die. We sat in that hospital for hours. I held jade in my arms the whole time. Michael and Jake were our childhood best friends we grew up with them. So this was hard on us. After a while Jade stopped crying and I look down to see her asleep on my chest. I then stand up and carry her bridal style to Colby's car and I sit in the back seat with her. I sit there and just watch her sleep and move her hair out of her face and kiss her forehead. "You would be good for her you know" Colby says. I didn't think I heard him right so I spoke up "What?" I ask questioningly. "You and Jade would be good together. I know you would treat her right and I know you like her too" I blush and I laughs slightly. Jade stirs a bit and cuddles up to me resting her head on my chest. "I approve" Colby says breaking the silence. "Of what?" "You dating my daughter, I know you won't ever hurt her" when he said that I was happy that he approved if we ever dated. Which would never happen because she doesn't like me like that. "You know she likes you Nathan" Kaylee says looking at me. Well fuck can this night get any weirder, am I in the twilight zone? We finally get home and I carry jade to her room and go to walk out but Colby stops me at the door way. "Stay with her
she would want you with her right now" he says motioning towards her bed. I then hug him and lay down beside her and fall asleep. I wake up the next morning around 9:00 AM to see Jade gone. I get off of her bed and walk downstairs to see that our parents aren't home. "Hey, they went to IKEA to get some stuff for their editing office upstairs so we have the house to ourselves" yes our parents still do YouTube. They never stopped doing it. It is fun having famous parents and all though. "Oh okay" I say sitting beside her and beginning to eat my cereal. We finish
eating breakfast and sit down on the couch in the living room and put on a movie. "Nathan?" "Yeah" I say as I look towards her. All of a sudden I feel her lips crash against mine and her hands on my neck. She pulls away and I open my eyes and look at her. "Holy Shit" was all I could manage to spit out. I then see Mom and Kaylee standing in the door way. "Just date already" they say laughing. "NO" Jade says embarrassed. "You were not supposed to see that" I say laughing.
