Sarah was in the washroom, getting herself ready for her best friend's funeral. Everyone was getting ready in privacy as no one wanted to be near each other while they were trying to get dressed to attend their dead friend's funeral. After slipping into a knee-length navy blue dress that was almost as dark as black, Sarah's trembling hands got hold of the eyeliner and managed to raise her hand and to bring closer to her eyes. When she found herself staring intently at her reflection in the mirror, Sarah could not help the tears that rolled down her cheeks. She didn't even care that her salty tears were ruining her makeup and it would be the third time that she would be doing her make-up, all over again.

Shoving the eye pencil into her make-up bag, Sarah restlessly banged her hands against the wall and hung her head down, tears continuously flowing down her cheeks. Sarah, just like the others, was not ready to see her best friend in a coffin that would be buried under the ground, forever. Sarah was broken the first time when they thought that Cate was dead to the extent that everyone had to part ways from each other because they couldn't bear to be together in the same room, looking into each other's guilt-ridden eyes regarding not being able to help their best friend.

It took more than two years for Sarah to put Cate's death behind her. Cate was not only her best friend, she was someone Sarah deeply loved with all her heart. Even though Sarah's heart was always in love with Lily, the love she shared for Cate was not anything less than real. Sarah was not ready to say goodbye to her best friend, for real this time, especially after seeing her alive just a few days ago. Sarah would never forgive herself for the manner in which she behaved towards Cate before her tragic death. Sarah was angry and frustrated with C's business, she was also mad at herself that even though Cate was supposed to be death, their past was coming in between Sarah and Lily and for lying to her girlfriend and her friends. But that did not mean that she had to be so rude to Cate!

Taking a deep breath and wearing a brave mask, Sarah finally worked up the nerve and calmness to complete her whole make-up. As she looked at herself in the mirror for one more time, she nodded at herself before turning the knob of the bathroom door and walking out of it. The moment she walked out of the bathroom, her breath was hitched and she was struggling for air when her eyes fell on her gorgeous girlfriend. Even though they were a part of a very tragic business, Sarah couldn't believe how beautiful her girlfriend looked in a black gown that perfectly hugged Lily's curves and the dress cascaded beautifully down her long frame.
