The bright rays of the sun kissed Laura's face as she stirred on the bed, next to her beautiful girlfriend. Adjusting her eyes to the light oozing from the windows, Laura slowly turned her head around and looked at Taylor, who looked so peaceful and adorable when she slept. All the worries of C were vanished away as she slept into a peaceful slumber. Laura's eyes kept admiring her girlfriend and she kept thinking how lucky she was that after being in love with Taylor and loving the blonde for so many years from afar, she was finally able to be with the woman her heart truly loved. Laura let out a smile as Taylor softly twitched her nose and snuggling closer to Laura's side, she fell more deeply into her sleep.

As Laura's eyes appraised Taylor and her beauty, her eyes began to brim with unshed tears. Taylor was so sweet, she was such an angel to forgive me for what happened between me and Sam and for the secrets I had withheld from her, Laura thought to herself as she raised her right hand and dab on her cheeks, wiping the tears away. Taylor stirred a little and groaning a little, she finally opened her eyes and her heart immediately broke into pieces when she saw tears in her lover's eyes. Taylor propped herself on her elbow, and looking deeply into Laura's glistening green eyes, Taylor spoke up.

"What is it, my love?"
Taylor's thumb rested on Laura's cheek, before she moved them across her cheek.

"What is troubling you? Tell me." Taylor's soft and caring voice further broke Laura into uncontrollable tears.

Taylor did not ask further questions to Laura. She simply took her girlfriend into her arms. At first, Laura stiffened at Taylor's sudden touch and it hurt Taylor's soul, but as soon as Taylor began to move a soothing hand on Laura's back and began to kiss Laura on her forehead, Laura began to calm down, slowly. Not wanting to add to the troubles and tensions that they were already facing due to C, Laura shook her head and looking at Taylor, she let out a meek smile before burying her face back into the crook of Taylor's neck. Taylor did not press Laura further, she simply held her lover in her arms until Laura was completely clam and then, she held her some more.

When Laura was in control of her breathing once again, Laura sat up on the bed and averted her eyes from her girlfriend. Taylor too sat up and laid a calming hand on Laura's back, and Laura visibly relaxed under Taylor's touch. "I am so sorry, Tay." A hiccup followed at the end of Laura's sentence. "I did not mean to kick start our morning with such a terrible mood. I am sorry you had to see me cry. Ugly, right?" Laura turned her head to look at Taylor and chuckling, she turned her head away again.
