Gone.

Taylor woke up around six in the morning to go to the washroom. As she was making her way back towards the bed, she let out such a loud scream she was afraid that she had woken up Laura's neighbors but since Laura's house was situated away from the city life, disturbance wasn't an issue. But her deafening scream did wake Laura up with a jolt. When Laura saw the direction Taylor was looking at, Laura turned her head to her right and let out a loud curse.

The wall next to Laura's bed was smeared in red with the word 'KILLERS' which was signed by C. When Laura went closer to the wall and as her fingertips touched the dripping color, she let out another curse. "It's blood, Tay." Laura turned around to find Taylor extremely pale. Laura made her way towards Taylor and stood right in front of her. Cupping the blonde's face and making her focus her attention on the raven-haired, Laura deeply looked into Taylor's eyes as she gave a shake to Taylor's body.

"Hey, look at me." Laura's voice was soothing. Taylor's eyes slowly separated them from the wall to look into Laura's beautiful green eyes. "Come here." Taylor obeyed as Laura brought the blonde closer into her arms. As Laura engulfed her arms around Taylor, her heart tugged painfully when she held a shaking Taylor in her arms.

Laura made them walk out of her own room and made their way towards the guestroom. After checking that the guestroom was cleaned, Laura made Taylor lie down on the bed. "I will be with you in a sec, okay?"

"Where are you going? Don't leave me!" Taylor's eyes were brimming with unshed tears.

"I need to check if someone is still in the house, my love. Such vandalization at my home isn't possible without getting into the front door and my security system is really tight, Tay. Let me just go and check it, okay?" Laura explained.

"Then, I will come with you!" Taylor said, getting up from the bed.
