That's That.

Sarah and Lily sat at the back while Laura drove the car with Taylor beside her in the front. They were the last people to leave the reception, wanting to help and provide support to the grieving family in any way they were capable of. Even though Sarah was dying to leave the reception and probably hit her fists against something in a way of expressing her anger and betrayed feelings, she wore a mask of mingling in among the crowd and being benevolent to others and mostly, the family.

Usually, Lily's mere presence beside Sarah gave the brunette a level of calmness to her troubled heart but this time it was different. It was her family, her own beloved sister. Sarah, Rachel and Liz were very close sisters. Rachel was paternal half-sister of Sarah and after their parents got divorced, they got really close to one another. Liz was the youngest and they leaned against each other for support and strength. Sarah loved her sisters exceptionally and to find out that Rachel was C, broke Sarah's heart.

Looking at Sarah's sad face, Lily wanted nothing but to bring the brunette closer in her arms and hug her pain away, but Lily restrained herself, knowing that she could have no say when it came to family. They were lovers but they had not reached the level in their relationship where she could say something about their families. However, Lily took risk and placed a soothing hand on Sarah's, that lay casually on the seat. The warmth and smoothness of Lily's hand made Sarah to look at her girlfriend and when she saw the empathy and the concern in Lily's eyes, Sarah's heart melted and shifting closer to Lily, she buried herself in the blonde's arms. Lily wrapped her arms around Sarah, holding her closely near her heart, giving a kiss at the crown of her head.

Laura saw how Sarah shriveled into Lily's arms, all broken and sad. Taylor had witnessed it too, from the corner of her eyes. Both of their hearts broke to see Sarah so depressed. Sarah was the goofiest of all and her friends had never seen Sarah in a bad mood or a sour mood; she was always joking around and trying to make people happy. Even though her sense of humor and sarcasm were always at the tip of her tongue, the kindness that radiated from her was simply remarkable. Laura and Taylor shared a glance at each other before Laura turned her attention back to the road.

Both Laura and Taylor kept replaying the moment when the strange woman in black came towards them and specifically handed the message only in Sarah's hands. Why was that? They both dwelt on the question. Did Rachel want us to really know about her identity as C? If so, why hide it for so long? However, those questions were followed by the most pressing of the questions: Why did Rachel kill Cate? They knew that Cate knew everyone from the industry, nearly everyone. And even though she had made acquaintances with their families, Cate was never that close to any one of them. Then, Laura thought to herself, why would Cate be Rachel's target at all?

When they reached Sarah's house, Sarah ran up to her bedroom and closing the door behind her, slid down on the floor and burying her head between her knees, began to weep. Lily was extremely worried when the brunette closed the door of her bedroom, not even letting Lily in. All kinds of dark thoughts began to circle Lily's mind but Taylor hugged her friend, trying to calm her wits by assuring her that Sarah was very strong, and she would never do anything stupid. She was no like that. Lily nodded towards Taylor, but her heart was still burdened with trouble.
