As the midnight finally loomed over Los Angeles, Rachel sneaked out of her room and tip-toeing in the house, she went outside at the lawn and sat on the bench. As Rachel sat back and closed her eyes, feeling the cool breeze fan against her skin, Rachel could not help but think about what she had done. After sneaking back into Laura's house, Rachel gave a long hug to her sister, Elizabeth, for helping her out and also, because Rachel really was in need of a hug after what she had done. Elizabeth was a productive woman working in a respectable work environment but she came rushing to help Rachel when she heard that her sister, Sarah, could be in danger. After Rachel told Elizabeth everything about C and her involvement with C, Elizabeth decided to pay heed to the present rather than the past. When Elizabeth heard about Sarah and Laura, who were involved in an intimate relationship, the only thing she could do was smile. But her heart went out to Laura when Rachel told her that while the deal was only limited to sex, Laura's heart fell for their sister, Sarah.

Rachel asked Elizabeth if she had any problems with Taylor and Lily. Elizabeth recapped everything to Rachel. While the day was uneventful as the two blondes had gone out to work, the night was a little awkward because Elizabeth could not face them while she sat across them and had her dinner. So, Elizabeth took her plate inside the screening room and turned on the volume of the movie she had chosen for her entertainment. Rachel wanted to object to what Elizabeth did and how her sudden change in behavior could have thrown them off, but Rachel bit her lip. Rachel was grateful to her sister that she was considerate enough to help her. But the next day, since Taylor and Lily didn't bother her with questions regarding her odd behavior, Rachel found herself relaxing a little. But what she had done, didn't make her life any easier to live. She had killer Sam. While Sam was awfully loyal to C, Sam had also gone through some rough shit because of Cate. Sam was a human being and now, he was dead. Killed by me, Rachel hung her head as tears fell down and on the grass.

Even though a part of Rachel bled for what she had done, for killing someone was a heinous sin. But the bigger part of Rachel knew that Sam deserved not for all the sufferings he had gone through but for what he did to Lily. Sam was never interested in Lily, ever. Sam was a fool who was utterly in love with C and he followed C's orders like a loyal dog. And on C's orders, Sam impregnated Lily only to make her feel guilty when she was reunited with Sarah again, and also to kill her baby. It was quite horrible because in the beginning, Sam hesitated to impregnate Lily, only to kill off the child because it was wrong. But C waved his wand of charm and manipulation and Sam was a puppet in C's hands. So, Rachel decided that while it was wrong to murder a person intentionally, Sam deserved, to an extent, to die.

Rachel tried to be in peace with her own conclusions and reasoning, but Rachel felt restless and unable to breathe. While Sam may have deserved to die for what he did to Lily, the reason behind killing Sam was not justified. And that was killing Rachel from the inside. It was not justified to kill him because he had found a secret that was buried deep in Laura and Sarah's hearts. Rachel reflected. It was wrong and merciless. But Rachel had given her word to Laura and Sarah that no matter what happened, she would never let anyone find about Laura and Sarah's past. And when Rachel saw the pictures that Sam had captured in order to provide C with solid proofs, Rachel knew that Sarah and Laura were still living in the past. But not in a bad place, but a past filled with excitement and mischief.
