Ghost

After a few days, Laura was called in back to the police station. Even though her friends insisted to tag along with Laura, the raven-haired beauty politely rejected their offer, saying that she would be safe as she was going into one of the safest buildings in Los Angeles. But since her friends were both stubborn and worried, as soon as Laura left, they trailed behind her, looking out for their friend. 

"Thank you for coming in, Miss Prepon." Detective Bells said, a small smile tugging at the end of her lips. "Please, do sit down." 

"Please call me Laura." Laura said, letting out a blush as she wasn't used to people being so formal with her. As they sat across each other, Laura noticed a sudden glow on Katherine's face. "How can I be of service, Detective?" Laura said, almost smirking. 

Katherine let out a melodious laugh. "I just wanted to tell you in person that you and your friends are cleared of everything and how sorry I am for the loss of your pilot and your ex-boyfriend. Also, I would like to convey my apologies for dragging you all into this." Katherine let out an apologetic smile. "You all are innocent." 

Nodding, Laura let out a smile. "Thank you, Detective Bells, for taking the time out to convey this personally. It means a lot to me, to all of us." 

When Laura got up to shake her hands with the detective, the detective latched on to Laura's hand while she gazed deeply into Laura's green eyes, "I promise you I will find whoever is behind these murders, Laura." Laura almost gulped. "I promise." 

And with a nod, Laura walked out of the station. 

As Katherine watched Laura walk out of the building, the detective knew that either Laura was hiding something or her friends were. Because when the detective asked Laura about their friendship and the reason for their sudden reunion, Laura took upon herself saying that she made it happen as she wanted their group of close friends together, all over again. But when the detective asked the others, they gave almost the same answer: that they met through an event where everyone was present. 

Katherine walked into the break room to prepare a cup of coffee as she thought to herself, Who the fuck is lying and why?

When Laura walked out of the building, she was amused to see her friends waiting against Sarah's car for their friend. Laura shook her head at her friends, and let out a laugh. 

"Stalking me now, are you?" Laura asked everyone as she snaked her arm around Taylor's waist, giving the blonde a kiss on her forehead.
