Band Practise

*Ashton's p.o.v*

After lunch, the afternoon flew by and soon we had to head home to eat dinner and set off for band practise. I had invited Alyssa along to watch because she really seemed to like the band's music.

"I don't know how I'm going to eat anything after that carbonara!" Alyssa exclaimed

"I would think that, but I've had Mum's homemade burgers before - they're so nice you just want to keep eating them!" I laughed

"We'll see," Alyssa replied, smirking

We were currently walking home and had just reached the house. I opened the door and we both yelled hello. Mum replied from the kitchen.

"You'd better be hungry!" She called

"Don't worry, we are!" I yelled back, grinning at Alyssa, who promptly poked me in the cheek. I laughed and walked into the front room to watch a bit of TV

15 minutes later, the five of us were sat round the table. I was excited to see what Alyssa thought because I knew for a fact that the burgers would make her hungry. She took a bite

"Well?" I asked

"These are delicious!" Alyssa cried

"Thank you, sweetheart," Mum said, grinning at her

"Told ya," I laughed, nudging her in the arm

"Shut up!" Alyssa laughed and we all started eating.

*Alyssa's p.o.v*

After dinner, which, I have to admit that Ash was right about, we headed upstairs to our bedroom.

"I'm gonna get changed before we go," I told him

"Okay," Ashton replied, "though you look fine,"

"Thanks, maybe I won't change then," I said, thinking

"I'd bring a jacket though - sometimes practise runs over and I don't get home till late," Ashton told me

"Okay," I replied, picking up my cream crotched cardigan from yesterday

"Ready to go?" Ashton asked

"Yeah," I replied, grabbing my phone

"Let's go then," and with that we left the house, me following Ashton because I didn't know where we were going. I decided to ask

"Tonight practise is at Luke's house, so we're going there," he said

I grinned - Luke's house! I was looking forward to this!

After about a 10 minute walk, we arrived outside a house not that different to Ashton's. Ashton opened the door and walked straight in, waving to, - who I could only presume was - Mrs Hemmings.

"Hey, Ash," she said, smiling at him

"Hey, Liz," he replied, smiling back

"And you must be Alyssa!" She said, smiling at me as well. "I've heard a lot about you from Luke!"

I blushed like crazy

*Luke's p.o.v*

I heard Ashton and Alyssa enter so I went down to meet them. I could hear them talking to my mum; awkward! I could just hear their conversation from the stairs

"And you must be Alyssa!" I heard my mum say. "I've heard a lot about you from Luke!"

I entered the room at that moment, coughing loudly. I could see that Alyssa's cheeks were very red.

"C'mon, Cal is already here, we're just waiting for Michael," I said, ushering the two of them out the room.

"Mum, really?!" I mouthed, glaring at her.

My mum just grinned and shrugged her shoulders.

I led the two of them into the garden and towards the garage. I had a proper sound system and drum kit out there so it was the best place to practise when it was my turn. When we entered, Ashton went over to talk to Calum and I pulled Alyssa over to one side

"Don't listen to my mum, okay?" I said quietly, so only she could hear. Alyssa nodded but her cheeks flamed again.

"She likes to try and embarrass me. She thinks it's funny or something," I told her

Alyssa laughed slightly. God, she was even prettier when she smiled, it made me want to smile too. At that moment, Michael entered. He got tuned up and then practise could begin.

*Alyssa's p.o.v*

I had been watching the boys play for the last two hours and they were coming to the end of their final song, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. I loved watching them - the way that Ash got into drumming, the way that Michael always had a good time and a laugh, the way that Calum performed with a huge smile on his face, but most of all the way Luke looked when he sang. I could tell that he knew just how to work a crowd of people and capture their attention for as long as he wanted.

And it was only when he was singing the very last chorus, that I realised that Luke was staring right at me...
