Beside You | A Luke Hemmings Fanfic

It's beautiful!

*Alyssa's p.o.v*

I woke up the next morning, still smiling from a dream I had about Luke last night. At first, I couldn't remember where I was and was about to start freaking out when I heard Ashton's voice from across the room.

"Good morning," Ashton said, laughing at my confused expression

"Hey," I replied, grinning

"Sleep well?" He asked

"The best," I said

"Come downstairs and I'll try to persuade mum to make us chocolate chip pancakes," Ashton suggested

I was out of bed like a flash; I told Ashton last night that chocolate chip pancakes were my favourite

I followed Ash downstairs and into the kitchen where Mum - it felt weird calling her mum! - was sat drinking orange juice.

"Hey," she smiled at us as we entered

"Good morning," I said, smiling back

"Muuuuuum?" Ashton started, dragging out the word

"What do you want?" Mum replied, laughing and shaking her head at her oldest son

"Will you make me and Alyssa chocolate chip pancakes, please please please please?" Ashton practically begged. I couldn't help laughing

"Yeah, sure," Mum replied, getting up. "Though you could've just asked, you didn't have to beg like a 5 year old who wants a new toy car!"

Ashton stuck his tongue out and I fell about laughing

"So what are your plans for today?" Mum asked us as we finished off the pancakes

"I have no idea!" I laughed.

"I could show you around if you want?" Ash suggested

"Yeah, that sounds good!" I replied

"Don't you have band rehearsal tonight?" Mum asked

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot!" Ashton said, laughing. "You can come if you want?"

"I would love to!" I said, laughing at Ashton's forgetfulness

We ran upstairs and got dressed. I was wearing a grey Arctic Monkeys top which was tucked into a pair of high waisted denim shorts and white converse.

"I'm going to show you around the town, and then we can get some lunch if you want?" Ashton suggested

"Yeah, that sounds great," I replied, smiling

"C'mon then, let's go,"

Together we walked downstairs, yelled bye and left the house.

"It's not far into town, maybe 5-10 minutes," Ashton told me

"Good," I laughed, "I'm too lazy to walk any further!"

"Me too," Ashton said, also laughing

On the way there, me and Ashton talked and laughed, getting to know each other. I made a mental note to get to know Harry and Lauren as well.

"Here we are," Ashton told me, suddenly

I looked around. The town was kinda busy but not as much as in Central Australia.

"Here we have the supermarket, the pub that EVERYONE goes to, the sweet shop and the swimming pool," Ashton said, pointing out the various shops as he spoke

"Over there is Lauren and Harry's school and there is the library,"

"It's beautiful!" I exclaimed

"Come on, you have to try the fudge from the sweet shop - it's to die for!" Ashton laughed, grabbing my hand and pulling me over.

The bell above the door jangled as entered. A small, plump lady with a kind smile was sitting behind the counter

"Hello, Ash!" She said

"Hi, Mrs Morrison!" Ashton replied, smiling

"And who's this?" She smiled warmly at me

"This is Alyssa," Ashton replied. "She's my twin sister though neither of us knew for the last 20 years. You'll probably be seeing a lot of her!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you!" She said

"And you Mrs Morrison!" I replied

"We've come to buy 100g of your finest vanilla fudge," Ashton said, in a weird posh voice

I burst out laughing and so did Mrs Morrison.

"What?" Ashton asked in his normal voice, acting all innocent

"You know what!" Mrs Morrison laughed, weighing out the sweets. She handed the bag over and Ashton held out his money.

"Oh no, dear, it's on the house for my favourite customer!" She said

"Thank you!" Ashton replied, grinning "see you soon!" And with that, we left the shop.

"Does everyone here know you?" I asked laughing

"Pretty much!" Ashton replied, grinning at me

"Good to know," I said, still laughing

"C'mon, let's go have some lunch!" Ashton said, pulling me over to an Italian restaurant.

"Do they know you here as well?" I asked

"Yeah, I always get a discount!" Ashton laughed

We sat down at the table and ordered. I chose spaghetti carbonara and Ashton had a cheesy calzone. The food was delicious! As Ashton payed, I couldn't help thinking how perfect this day had been. It was only going to get better - Ashton had invited me to watch their band practise and that meant I got to see Luke again!
