Somehow kinilig ako sa sinabi niyang yun pero hindi ko pa rin maiwasang mapa-isip.

Tuloy pa rin ako sa pakikinig at pagsilip sa kung ano man ang nangyayari. Di bale nang magkakuliti kesa naman sa hindi ako makatulog at magwonder nalang kung ano ba ang nangyari sa pag-uusap nila. 

Pagkatapos ni Mico magbitaw ng mga salitang tagos hanggang lamang loob napansin kong nanggigigil yung Jenine. Naiinis siguro. Kahit  sino ba namang mapahiya at kahit papaano ay medyo nareject ay talaga nga namang manggigigil. Pero kasi she's expecting too much.

Pero kasi it's Mico. When he said he likes you, it really is something.

"Pero how 'bout the date? And you said you like me? Mico... we dated."

"Come on Jenine, it's just a date. I dated some random girl who happened to be you because it really was heartbreaking to long for a girl who left me and that I thought it's time to try to move on. But that's it, it's just a date for pete's sake. There's no commitment in there. We only dated twice but we're not exclusively dating. About liking you? I like you as a person not as a woman. I'm sorry. I really am."

That's what I wanted to hear. Pero may gusto talaga akong itanong sa kanya. May gusto lang akong liwanagin.

"Pero... Mico, I think I love you. I can wait. We can try. We can date behind her back."

Ako naman ang nanggigil sa sinabi niya. Wow. Just wow. Behind my back, my as*. Etong babaeng 'to parang mauubusan ng lalaki. Nakakainis ah. May pa behind her back, behind her back pa.

Lumakad siya patungo sa direksyon kung nasaan ako at bigla bigla nalang akong hinila.
