Matt's POV
I got home and had a shower and then made something to eat, I was just sitting on my couch thinking about what I would do when my phone buzzed.
It was a message from Ana.
Thanks for saying bye.
Great, now I felt like shit.
What was I supposed to message back? Well Ana I was laying in bed and having a good old perv at you and I got uncomfortable and left?
Stuff to do.
I texted back, shit I hope she wasn't pissed at me.
I decided I would go see Ana's mom today so I called.
"She's pretty worn out today, but I'll ask her." Ana's dad said.
I waited a couple of minute's and he came back on.
"She definitely wants you to come over Matt, so come when your ready."
I agreed and hung up.
My phone rang immediately.
"Last night was a dud." Brian said "You left and everyone else just wasn't into it, so we're going out tonight, you coming?"
Was I? It sounded like a good idea.
"Yep sounds good." I said.
"Cool I'll be by about 7." and he hung up.
I grabbed my keys and left and drove to Ana's mom's place.
Her dad let me in and took me to the sunroom where I was shocked to see Ana's mom had a bed set up.
She was laying on it and she looked terrible.
"Are you sure your ok?" I asked sitting down.
"I'm dying Matthew, of course I'm not ok. " she said bluntly.
I felt stupid.
"Sorry sweety I'm just tired." she said taking my hand.
"It's ok I get it." I said squeezing her hand.
"So Matt I need you to do something for me," she said "I'm fighting this but I'm losing and I need you to promise me you'll look after my baby."
I felt tears in my eye's "You don't have to ask."
"I want to make sure, I don't want her to turn to Jake, you have to be there."
"I will, I swear, always." I assured her.
"Good, now go away, I need to sleep." she smiled, but I saw tears in her eye's.
I kissed her cheek and got in my car.
I sat there and I cried, this was horrible, I could only imagine how Ana felt.
By the time I got home I needed a drink.
I planned on getting completely wasted tonight.
