They say the devil's a charming one,
all full of smiles and charisma.
They say he comes dancing,
all deft and delightful -
Tempting in colors of red,
not black, white, or blue.
The devil teases with treats -
not the truths from eyes that peep.
With him, he brings mystique -
all wonder and fascination.
He comes donning red,
not marigold or carnation.
The devil brought life to infatuation -
all compliments and ovation.
He coerced through imagination -
not concrete illustration.
When the devil came calling,
the devil wore red.
