Heavenly Delight

Oh how I long to leave this life of labor behind
To climb amongst the clouds and behold quiet tides
Where the sparrows sing such sweet lullabies
That all who hear are halted by heavenly delight.

Oh how I hope to hurdle this high harrowing tide
To fly amongst mountaintops and see the other side
Where the crickets chirp charming melodies
That all who listen become lifted like recast life.

Oh how I wish to wander past the shadowy skies
To soar amongst the stars in atmospheres up high
Where the quiet quells and routs all quagmires
That all who observe obtain joy in souls opened wide.
