Beat, thou unstill heart!
Flutter as light breeze
Upon delicate
Petal and caress
With sure yet unsure
Mirth.
Hammer thy passion
Opposite hardened
Penitentiary
That blinded and blind
Overseers may
See.
Throb with intended
Purpose excepting
No opposition
From mollifying
Qualm.
Tremble, vibrate, and
Resonate thy pulse
In oscillation
Of newfangled hope
Envisaged in firm
Hold.
Quiver and quake on,
Thou unquiet heart.
Cinch the aims of thy
intermittent spurts!
