Chapter 13- The Date

Garroth's POV

Laurance and Dante help me prepare for my date. To be honest, I have been on dates before but this one is special since it is with Lady Aphmau. Laurance irons my blue plaid shirt while Dante headed out to prepare the area, a nice table on the beach side but nothing too fancy. Hopefully she will like it all alright... I know after this I will have to sleep in her house. It would be awkward if it goes horribly wrong...

I get dressed while I head out, blushing and ready for a wonderful night.

Aphmau's POV

From the help of Lucinda and Donna, I get ready for my little date with Garroth. To be honest, I am super excited and if all goes well, we may even have a future together. I don't think much of it but Lucinda and Donna look through my wardrobe, while I apply a simple makeup, nothing too flashy.

"OMI (Oh My Irene). This is JUST RIGHT!" Lucinda says, holding up a very skimpy dark purple dress, very similar to hers but with no belt and short sleeves.

"Um, no thanks. I didn't even know I owned that to be honest. But, I bet there is something perfect!" I say, giving encouragement but not agreeing with her style choices.

"What about this?" says Donna, holding up a mint and white sweater with jeans and boots. It looks really good, but it is super hot right now.

"Looks good, but too hot. Like in a temperature way." I say as Donna and Lucinda giggle. "One more try?" I say questionable. While applying my mascara, I see Lucinda and Donna comparing outfits. Then Katelyn walks in to my room.

"Oh. Hey Katelyn!" I say enthusiastically.

"Hey Aphmau. Need any help?" Katelyn says, in her slightly monotone voice.

"Uh, sure! You can help them go pick out an outfit for now" I say, sounding as nice as possible as Katelyn goes for a well protected and threatening look usually. 

Once I finish up my makeup, the girls finish up with one outfit each. Donna pick out a pink crop top and shorts, and since it is a little fancy, I decline politely. Next, Lucinda shows me a nice dress with an aqua bottom and white top, which Cadenza made for me a while back. I haven't worn it since is clashes with my eyes, so again I decline. Am I picky??

Lastly, Katelyn holds up something completely unexpected for her. She holds up my galaxy sweatshirt, which is super comfy and mostly casual. Along with it is some black jean shorts and some black and white converse-like shoes. Since the sweatshirt is lightweight, I immediately think it is perfect.

"Oh my Irene..." I say, as I notice I am still staring at the outfit.

"You hate it don't you..." she says, I as I cut her off and snag the outfit. I get changed in the corner and once I am finished, I hug Katelyn tightly.

"It's perfect" I whisper into her ear. I un-hug her, as I know she hates being hugged. She grins though, which my guess is a good sign. I finish up by straightening my hair, even though it is already straight enough. I just really need to make a good impression, I am a Lord after all. 

Donna, Lucinda and Katelyn leave, wishing me good luck on the date. I feed the dogs and had the urge to check on Zoey, even though she is gone. I miss her...
