The echo of a single name, "Nandini," filled the entire house, capturing everyone's attention. From the confines of his room, Manik's voice reverberated, calling out for his beloved.

"NANDINIIIIIIII! NANDINIIIIII!"

Concerned by the urgency in his voice, Nandini hurriedly abandoned her task of preparing breakfast and rushed to their room, her heart pounding with worry.

Nandini: (worried) What happened? Are you ok? You need something?

Manik: (pouts) I need you.

Nandini couldn't help but roll her eyes at his melodramatic response.

Nandini: (glaring at him) I literally left you just five minutes ago.

Manik: That's precisely my point! Do you realize how long five minutes can feel? How could you leave your sick fiancé alone?

Nandini: (rolling her eyes) If I don't leave you alone, how will I make breakfast for you?

Manik: You could ask Kaka to make breakfast for me, or better yet, you could ask Navya to do it. Why do you have to do everything?

Nandini: Navu Di is already busy preparing breakfast for everyone else, and Kaka is on leave today.

Manik: (whining) I don't care about breakfast, I just want you by my side. It's fine if I don't eat, but please stay with me.

Nandini began to protest, but before she could, Navya entered the room

Navya: Don't worry, Manik. She won't go anywhere now. I brought breakfast for both of you.

Nandini stood up from the bed and went to help Navya place the tray on the table.

Nandini: Arey Di, why did you take the trouble? I was about to come back downstairs.

Navya: No trouble at all. Besides, Manik needs you more right now.

Manik: (happily) Thank you, Navya. You're the best!

Nandini glared at him, but his puppy-like expression melted her heart.

Navya: (chuckles) Nandini, I've also kept your breakfast in the tray. You both can have it here in the room.

Nandini: (smiles) Thanks Di.

Navya gently patted her cheeks, her gaze fixed on the doorway as she made her exit. As she turned around, Nandini found herself face-to-face with Manik, who greeted her with a toothy smile. She couldn't help but shake her head at his playful antics.

Nandini: Alright, let's have breakfast now. I'll feed you.

She scooped up a spoonful of porridge and held it in front of Manik's mouth.

Manik: I don't want this.

Nandini: (raising her one eyebrow) And why is that so?

Manik: Because it's tasteless. I want Aloo Paratha, not this.

Nandini: To have all that, you need to get better first. So hurry up and finish it.

Manik: NO NO NO, I DON'T WANT IT.

Nandini: You know what? Fine, don't have it. I'm going downstairs.

Manik: NOOOOO!!! Okay, okay, I'll eat it. Just don't go.

Relenting, Nandini fed Manik the porridge, and once he finished, she sat down to have her own breakfast. Afterward, she gave him his medicines. As he took the bitter pills, Nandini made faces as if she could taste the unpleasantness herself.
