1 what inspired the idea of your story?

I'd read so many Mafia stories on Wattpad and it's literally my favorite genre. I think I just wanted to write a mafia love story in my own way.

2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?

I realized that whenever I wrote dialogue between characters, it was too choppy and the conversations didn't feel natural enough. I think I've overcome it to an extent but I am still working on it.

3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

I enjoyed writing Marcello, the male lead. He is a complex character and there's a lot going on in his head all the time.

4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?

The story isn't finished yet but so far the response has been really good. Every time I see that there's new reads or votes or comments, I get really excited.

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?

It's a stand alone novel. I am not sure if there will be a sequel or not.

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

My main aim was to write a story with a strong female lead who has a voice, someone who people can relate to. I guess that's exactly what I want. For people to relate and empathize with her.

7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?

Character development should be slow and smooth. You don't want your characters to be inconsistent.

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?

Too many. I would like to believe that I am as level-headed and mature as I've portrayed her to be. The only difference would be that she's a single mother and I am not.

9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?

I'd say the fact that the mafia genre is already so popular on the platform. And also, the fact that the love story is a slow burn and I assume that there are people like me who like slow burns.

10 do you have any future projects?

I need to finish this one first but I would definitely want to write another story. But I am not sure what that's going to be.
