I was inspired to write a Mills and Boon style romance in memory of my Nan... it turned out too smutty to be that though
2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?
I'm not a romantic person so writing something that featured heavily in that department was a struggle for me

I enjoyed having a friend who was writing a romance at the same time to turn to and bounce ideas off of

so far readers seem to enjoy my novel, especially how I depict the grief my main character experiences!

this novel is a stand alone book
6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?
I'd like them to understand everyone grieves differently, that how you grieve is okay and valid. That it's okay to move on and be happy alongside your grief
7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?
set time for your writing and be strict about it. I write in the evenings and switch my phone off. Even if you only manage a hundred words write something
8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?
a few yes, I suffered a huge loss almost 7 years ago so her emotions and pain mirror my own
9 do you have any future projects?
I do! I'm currently writing another romance and a thriller style piece but I've more in the line up that I'm currently planning!
