1 what inspired the idea of your story?

I really wanted to read a romcom about a 20-something girl involved romantically with a celebrity. I looked for a story like that for a while and I couldn't find one. It was either teenage fiction or rockstars and not lighthearted, so I decided to start one.

2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?

Structure. I pantsed through this book as it's my first one. The editing portion was huge because I had to restructure everything. It was also really hard for me to finish the series. I couldn't say goodbye to my characters, after three books and more than 160,000 words together it was tough.

3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

Everything. The thrill of writing a story is one of the best experiences in my life. I loved spending time with my characters, having them pop up in my dream to show me another storyline (I'm not crazy, I swear ^^), and then bringing those dreams to life was so much fun.

4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?

Really great! A few beta readers went through it and fell in love with the characters as much as I did so it was pure joy for me. It's now been on Wattpad for 10 days and all the feedback I've gotten is positive so far. I'm excited for people to read it and tell me what they think.

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?

It's the first one in the series ☺️ It gets deeper the further you read the series. Louise and Jack face a lot of difficulties which makes them grow a lot in the course of the three books.

The entire series is written but I'm positing one chapter at a time on Wattpad

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

I really just want them to hop in for a ride and have fun, fall in love with Jack and Louise, and discover one or two things about France. ;)

7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?

First of all : have fun. I think if you're not having fun while writing your story, people won't when reading it. There isn't any special formula though. Some say it's better to structure, some say you can write as you go. You should do whatever you want! If you have writer block, music can help :)

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?

Some yes. We're both French, we love read and write and we like to plan everything ahead. We do have another similarity but it's a plot twist in the third book so I don't want to give it away!

9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?

I think it's hard to find a celebrity-regular girl romcom that isn't a fanfiction. I know I tried and I couldn't find one. Also it's fun and not mature which is also hard to come by.

10 do you have any future projects?

I have 1,000! I almost finished a YA romcom but as always it's hard to finish and I'm really struggling at the moment. So I put it on pause for a while. I also have a lot of ideas for other stories (mostly romcom, either NA or YA) but I have to stay focus and finish the one I'm writing first
