"I told you not to push your limits."

Toge didn't open his eyes. He continued to feel the moment. He thought that it was just some random memory from months ago when the pain in his throat suddenly disappeared.

At that moment, he slowly opened his eyes and started crying again.

"Hey, why are you crying?" She said while smiling.

Toge immediately stood up and ready to leave the room to call for someone, but she pulled him back.

He was about to speak when Shoko and Satoru entered the room.

Satoru started laughing when he saw what is happening but ends up sobbing too.

"Welcome back," Satoru whispered but loud enough to let anyone inside the room hear it.

"I'm home," Y/N replied. The happiness is very evident in her eyes and voice.

"... And why is everyone crying?" She added innocently.

"Don't mind them. You know how much everyone loves you," Shoko said, smiling.

Y/N smiled at the doctor before looking at her boyfriend again, who was still crying.

"What's wrong?" She asked worriedly, sitting up to reach his face.

"I thought I lost you," he replied and leaned his face closer to Y/N's hand that is caressing his cheeks.

Y/N's POV

/Earlier/

Will this really be my end? Just when I thought I could finally enjoy my life after exorcising the curse that killed my family, this happened.

I still want to spend my future with everyone else. I start closing my eyes when everything around me is becoming blurry. I felt my pulse getting weaker every second that passes by.

/Unconscious state; Sudden death/

I looked around me but saw nothing except for the blinding lights.

Where am I?

"Y/N," two familiar voices called me.

"Mom? Dad?" I said, then looked in the direction where the voice came from.

"Darling, we are so proud of you. We missed you," Mom said.

"Thank you for doing everything to give us peace finally," Dad added.

"I missed the both of you. Why did you leave me all alone?" I exclaimed while crying, reaching out to them.

"We're sorry, darling. We aren't strong enough to protect you," Mom replied.

"Y/N, it's still early to come home to us. You have your new family, right? I'm sure they are all waiting for you to go back to them," Dad said after few minutes.

"But I want to be with the both of you," I whispered.

"Everyone down there will be sad, Y/N. And we want you to enjoy and live your life to the fullest."

"Always remember that we love you so much."

"Mom! Dad!" I shouted when they disappeared all of a sudden.

My vision started to become blurry again then everything went black.

/Present/

"So that's what happened," I explained to my dad.

I glanced at Toge again, who was still staring at me.

"Can I go back to my room now? I want to rest," I said.

Toge immediately nodded and helped me stand up.

"Toge, I'll leave Y/N to you. I will explain to everyone what happened and will tell them not to disturb Y/N for a while," Dad said.

I was about to walk when Toge carried me suddenly.

"Hey, it's okay. I feel perfectly fine. Put me down," I exclaimed, but he just shook his head.

He started walking. I sighed and let him be. I leaned my head on his chest, feeling his heartbeat.

"I'm sorry for making you worry," I whispered, totally feeling guilty about what happened.

"Baby, I got scared. I thought I wouldn't be able to hold you like this again," he replied.

I didn't speak because I thought the same thing too. But in my case, I was ready to let go of everything and everyone when I met my parents again.

Right now, I realized that I couldn't entirely leave all of them, not on this lifetime.

After a while, we arrived at my room. He gently placed me in the middle of my bed. A shining object placed on my pillow caught my attention.

I picked it up and saw a beautiful ring with a very intricate design.

"Whose ring is this?" I asked.

I looked at Toge, who was still staring at me like I am a fragile glass or something. Instead of answering, he got the ring from me and put it on my finger.

I was about to say something when he suddenly leaned and started kissing me passionately.
