My heart started aching because of the sight of Ayumi crying. It reminded me so much of myself whenever I miss my parents.

"Yes, darling. You have me now. I won't leave you, okay?" I said as I combed her hair using my fingers.

I continued comforting her in the best possible way that I know when my door flung open, revealing my dad.

His eyes widened when he saw the child that I am embracing.

"What's going on here?" He asked confusedly.

I saw Toge whispered something to him, probably explaining the situation. My dad nodded his head.

"But she won't stay here in Jujutsu Tech while you're studying and doing training, right? I mean, she's not familiar with all of these things," he said.

My mind went haywire, trying to find the perfect solution. My dad got the point. Ayumi will get culture shock, and I don't want that to happen. I don't want her to experience the same thing that I had.

"Wait. Give me a minute to think," I said, scratching my head out of frustration.

How come I didn't realize that sooner?

"Am I not allowed here?" The small voice asked me while her tiny hands are caressing my cheeks.

"Look at what you did!" I said while looking at my dad.

"What? I'm just asking!" He answered while throwing his hands in the air.

"Ah, Gojo-sensei, Y/N, I already called my family a while ago. They said they are willing to take care of Ayumi but maybe after a month because they are still out of the country." Toge interrupted.

I was about to say my thanks when my dad started speaking again.

"Okay, it's settled then! I will process the adoption paper later. Gojo, right?" He asked.

I nodded, but dad didn't see it because he was looking at Toge.

"Inumaki, sensei. Under my name and Y/N."

I looked at him, shocked.

"For real? Aren't the two of you taking this a little bit too fast? Things may change in the future, you know."

"I honestly can't see my future without her, sensei. And if fate doesn't favor us, I'll do everything to overturn it and keep coming back to Y/N."

My heart fluttered with his words.

I saw my dad smiled. He patted Toge's shoulder.

"Inumaki, then."

"Wait! The both of you didn't consult it with Ayumi and me yet!" I exclaimed.

"Right. Is it okay with the both of you then?" My dad asked.

I turned to look at Ayumi again.

"Ayumi, darling. You see, that man over there, that's my dad," I started and pointed at the blindfolded person.

"Then, that makes him my grandpa, right?" She asked innocently.

I nodded while smiling. She is quick on picking up things. Intelligent.

"Then, the other one, he said he wants to be your daddy. Is it okay with you?" I cautiously asked her.

She put her little fingers under her chin and looked up. Her brows furrowed a little. Wait, she looks so cute while thinking.

"You're my mommy now, and he will be my daddy," she murmured to herself while pointing at me and then at Toge.

Ayumi leaned closer to me and whispered something.

"Is it really okay, mommy? Did he said it?"

I nodded at her, tucking the loose strands of hair behind her ears.

"Yey! I have mom and dad again!" She exclaimed and clapped her hands.

She sounds so happy, but her eyes say otherwise. Of course, accepting death ain't easy. I hope that I will be able to ease the pain in her heart.

I looked at Toge and nodded slowly.

"Okay. I'll go now. Y/N, darling, remember that I'm always rooting for you, and I'll do anything as long as you're happy. Toge, you have my trust," my dad said and closed the door, leaving the three of us inside my room.

"Toge, thank you."

He smiled and went beside Ayumi and me.

"Anything for you, love."

"Hi, Ayumi. I hope you'll be happy with us. We will do everything to fulfill the role of being parents to you, okay?" he said while giving her gentle head pats.

I saw Ayumi's eyes twinkled. Yep, that's Inumaki Toge for you. He can literally make everyone fall for him just by simple gestures.
