apollo mouth gawked at that, the entire courtroom stiffened up as they watched phoenix go from 1-to 100 in anger, ...apollo won't lie, that was really uncalled for, ...and very disrespectful

apollo felt shivers go up his spin as he backed up against the wall in fear, ...holy shit, ...this was a whole knew level of scary, kristoph, though did see how serious and terrifying he was, kept on his coolheaded facade

he shot back apollo quickly cut in before things could escalate any further, in his shaking voice he called for out his clients attention

the judge said, phoenix held up his phone

'that night I spoke with Gavin after calling the police, and I recorded our conversation'
kristoph won't lie, he wasn't expecting that

after the recording, apollo over-heard one word that really caught his eye

the judge went deep thought, then nodded at kristoph

phoenix face-palmed at the judge's idiot-icy, apollo was too deep in thought to even hear what everyone else was saying, ...then it clicked into his head

apollo was now starting to have doubts on his mentor's innocence

kristoph had nothing to say as he stayed silent, ..for now
'I went back to the crime scene and saw Smith's head again, I knew exactly what was wrong'
he then shot his glare at kristoph, daring him to lie even a little bit

he asked, glaring into his eyes, kristoph glared back at him, keeping his calm composure
'... So, this is your "reason". The reason why you put the victim's hat back on.'

apollo shuddered as he watched the two men go at it neck and neck, the court started to go WILD, the judge had to bang the gavel multiple times for everyone to settle down
'Order! I will have order!!! Mr. Payne!'
he jumped in surprise at his bench
'Y-Yes, Your Honor!'
'I believe this court has been left with no other choice... Are you prepared to hear Defense Attorney Gavin's testimony?'
'Eh? Ah... Urk? Ahem! Well, as the prosecutor, I...'
he stuttered, unsure on what to do, the judge noticed his reaction, and made the decision himself
'...Very well! We'll break for ten minutes. After which Mr. Gavin will take the stand for a cross-examination! ...Are we all clear on that?'
kristoph nodded
'Crystal Clear your honer'
the judge then banged down his gavel as he announced
'Very well! This will be the final recess for the day'
