“Please! It’ll be fun, I promise!”

I sigh, giving Savannah my ‘look’.

“I don’t want to go, but!”

Savannah returns my look with her own. While mine says, ‘enough’, hers is saying ‘you’ll be there’.

“Let’s look at the pros and cons, shall we?”

I roll my eyes as she wiggles all of her fingers in front of me.

“Five pros, five cons.”

“I’m too tired. I can’t be bothered. Selena throws shit parties.”

Savannah drops her hands and glares at me playfully.

“They’re not real cons. They’re excuses!”

I shake my head, protesting.

“Na-uh!”

She nods.

“Uh-ha!”

I sigh, knowing I won’t win this one.

“Fine, I’ll make an appearance. But not until later on, I want to talk to Jake.”

She grins, nodding her head furiously.

“You’re the best!”

I laugh, agreeing with her.

“Tell me about it!”

“Licia, we’re leaving in about three minutes!”

I shove another piece of watermelon into my mouth, nodding to my dad.

We’ve been at the park all day. We only just found out how much money was raised. Let me tell you, it was a lot! Almost a million.

“Oh and hey, don’t dress up or anything. You know it’s not a full on party. There will only be about twenty of us.”

I guess this makes me feel a little better about being forced to go. But still, Selena is friends with people I don’t really like.

“Alright then,”

I give her a tight hug.

“I’ll see you later,”

“Bye. And thanks again, Licia!”

I grin before making my way over to Ella.

“Hey, what are you doing tonight?”

She shrugs her shoulders.

“Nothing, I don’t think.”

For a rumored slut, she doesn’t do too much.

“Well did you want to come to Selena’s get together, party thing tonight?”

She bites her bottom lip.

“Great, I’ll pick you up later tonight! Text me your address.”

I give her a hug, too, not letting her say no. Hey, if I have to suffer, she does too!

I see Adie and Bre standing by the stage, Breanna talking to a very handsome looking dude.

I grab Adie’s attention and motion for her to come over to me. She says something to Bre before doing just that.

“Hey, are you off?”

I nod.

“Who’s that hunk?”

She rolls her eyes.

“Some guy who’s giving Breanna a hard time. Quite the bad boy.”

“Well tell Breanna I said bye, and to have fun!”

I laugh before giving her a hug.

Breanna’s P.O.V

“Go away!”

I groan as Andrew smirks.

“I like it when a girl groans. Even better when they say my name.”

I roll my eyes at his sexual innuendo and step back as he takes a step towards me.

“Do my good looks make you nervous?”

“No.”

Honestly, yes they do. He’s something to look at, with his dark brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. But he’s a jerk, I can already tell.

“Where are you from?”

I know it’s called fraternizing with the enemy, but I’m curious.

He shrugs his shoulders.

“I just moved here.” He pauses while he takes his phone from his pocket. “Can I have your number?”

He raises his eyebrows questioningly and I shake my head no.

“You wish jellyfish.”

He rolls his eyes.

Suddenly there’s a clicking noise and Andrew turns his phone to me, the picture he just took on display.

“Someone here will know who you are, and they’ll give me your number.” His smirk becomes bigger. “Bye babe,”

I scoff as he walks away. What a butthead!

Alicia’s P.O.V

“I’m going to Uncle Jake’s!”

I don’t wait for a reply and instead of jumping into my mom and dad’s car; I get into Jake and Stef’s.

“Drive, drive, drive!”

Jake commands Stef as I start to hum mission impossible. Stefanie laughs, shaking her head.

“Alicia you remind me so much of Kasey when we were your age.”

My eyes become suspicious.

“Is that a good thing, or?”

I leave the question open for an answer. At the same time Jacob says no, Stefanie says yes. I chuckle.

Looking out my window, I decide to stop talking so Jason can have the opportunity to speak if he wants. He does just that.

“Mom, dad, can I go to Selena’s get together tonight?”

‘Like he needs to ask,’ I think to myself as I roll my eyes, and then scoff when I realize what he just asked.

I turn my head to the right so as to look at Jason, but I do it too fast and my neck cracks. I groan and message my neck.

“You’re going to Selena’s?”

He looks at me for only a second and quickly nods.

“You’re going too?”

Jake asks and I sigh dramatically.

“I’m being forced to.”

He chuckles.

“It’ll be fun,”

I ‘pft’ and go back to looking out the window.

It’s been a while since I’ve just gone to Jake and Stef’s house to hang. I feel bad for Jason when I’m there, because it leaves him a limit on doing things in his own house. But I guess it’s his own fault, he’s the one who can’t stand to be around me, not the other way around.

“Alicia?”

I snap my head to the right again and close my eyes. I have to stop doing that.

“We’re home, kiddo.”

Wow, Jason spoke to me.

I sit there for a moment, completely shocked, before I realize I must look like an idiot.

When inside I take Jacob’s hand and drag him upstairs and into the guest bedroom across from Jason’s.

“What are you doing, Licia?”

I push him down onto the bed and jump on it myself, crossing my legs over. I sit there grinning at him like an idiot.

“An idea just occurred to me.”

He sits up properly and mirrors my actions. We both sit there in gypsy style; grinning at each other regardless of the fact Jacob doesn’t really have a reason to yet.

“Care to elaborate?”

I nod.

“So when I become famous, I’m going to need a manager.”

He nods slowly, his eyebrows moving down a little.

“And being the weird and crazy person I am, I think I’ll need two to keep me in control.”

He again nods.

“The first one is obviously my awesome dad. And I’ve been thinking… I want the second one to be my best uncle.”

His eyebrows shoot up as his eyes widen in surprise.

“What?”

He sounds like a little kid which causes me to laugh. But I nod nonetheless.

“Me?”

I laugh harder.

“You!”

I reassure him before I’m suddenly pulled off the bed and into a massive bear hug.

“That’s so cool! Oh my God! Alicia! Wow!”

I shake my head, still in my little fit of laughter.

He pulls away from me and looks down at me with a frown. My laughter stops immediately.

“But I’m your only uncle!”

I roll my eyes.

“Doesn’t matter, you’re still the best.”

He laughs before pulling me in for another hug.

~

“So will you two ride together tonight, since you’re both going to the same place?”

I can tell mom and Stefanie have been talking about Jason and I. Stef’s been asking and suggesting things all night. But I don’t mind, it’s good to know that she cares. The same with mom, too.

“No.”

“Yes.”

I again look at Jason, shocked for the third time today. Why is he being so nice?

I decide I better agree with him, and so I say yes instead. At the same time, he says no.

“Well Licia doesn’t have her car, anyway.”

Stef points out as a small, smug grin comes to her face. I playfully glare at her while the boys aren’t looking. I hear her laugh under her breathe.

“I guess she can ride with me,”

Despite his niceness today, his voice when he talks about me hasn’t changed, and neither has the disgust on his face.

I sigh, sticking my fork into the pie-like thing in front of me.

“There’s no meat in this, right?”

Stef nods.

“Yeah, it’s only a vegetable quiche. I stocked up on many different vegetarian foods the next morning after finding out. Don’t worry; I made sure they were all tasty.”

She grins and I smile back.

“Thanks, Aunty Stef.”

She nods.

“No worries.”

I suddenly remember Ella.

“Uh, maybe it’s best if I just get dropped at my house. I forgot I have to pick up a friend,”

Jacob nods. I see from the corner of my right eye Jason turning towards me from the end of the table. His face is curious.

“Is it Ella?”

I nod. How did he know?

“How come you’re knocking around her now? She’s no good, you know.”

I shake my head stubbornly.

“You just don’t know her.”

His ‘pft’ noise infuriates me and I take it out on my food, stabbing my fork into it.

I need to know what happened in order for Ella to get her bad name.

“Just go with Jason, he’ll pick Ella up for you.”

I sigh, shaking my head yet again. She just won’t give up.
