Ash's POV
I love this girl more than anything. She gets me, she knows what to do; what to say to keep to me focused.
Walking hand in hand, after we were... alone together... we both headed back to where Gary and Calem were waiting anxiously. As soon as I entered the room, the tension could be cut with a sharp knife. I had told them of our decision much to Gary's arguments to rethink what I was saying. I argued back.
"Fucking hell Ash! He wants YOU dead! He wants HER dead! And... GUESS WHAT? SHE ALMOST FUCKING DIED! Let's go back to Kalos he can't touch us there!" Gary finished shouting at Serena and myself, ignoring the fact that I already know, it wasn't my decision.
Pinching the bridge of my nose listening to Gary, keeping my composure I stated back "We both agreed that this is what we both want. I would feel better if Se was with me and I want to be there to know that Gio is either dead or in handcuffs. There is no other option. I need you all please back me up on this."
"Bu-" Calem started to say in objection.
"But nothing Calem. Serena has as much right as anyone here to help, she has promised me, that she will do everything as I say. I... I would die before I loose her again..." I finished saying, I glanced down looking at my intertwined hand with Se's, she gave my hand a small squeeze that she stood by our decision no matter what.
"Ashy - boy... you are either a genius or an idiot, you know I'll be by your side no matter what. We are more than best friends... we are brothers. Let's get this son of a bitch and look forward to our future." Gary finished his speech, which I was totally in awe of. I wasn't expecting that little speech especially from him earlier, I smiled my signature grin at him and held out my hand he took it and I brought him into our bro hug. "Thanks Gary" I spoke quietly enough so only he could hear.
"No problem Ashy-boy, do you really think I was going to miss out on all the hot girls in Alola?" He replied back, I knew there had to be another reason.
"Ha! Well no I kinda expected it, wheres Looker gone? The longer we stay here the longer we have to wait to put this son of a bitch down."
As if on cue Looker came through the door with Officer Jenny right behind him. We all turned our gaze towards him watching him take a seat with a big file of documents.
"Please have a seat everyone" Looker said, we all took our seats and waited to start. Looker looked at me dead in the eye. Nothing was going to interrupt his determination. "Ash, for this plan to work, Serena needs to come to Alola with us regardless."
I knew I was expecting that, I nodded in agreement which softened the look on his face. Most probably shock I was agreeing with him for once, "Looker, we are all going with you. We just need our passports and we will be ready." Ash said, while making eye contact with Serena, she gave me a look of determination, I continued saying "We both decided it was best we all went."
Looker was really surprised, I think he must have had some speech ready to say, against Serena staying.
"Oh, um okay then" he opened up the file in front of him and handed us 4 passports one for each of us. "Just be ready to go in an hour, the flight will take a couple of hours so best pack for sunny weather!
Time Skip
Several hours later we were walking off the plane, My eyes had set on a most beautiful peaceful island. It feels like that humans haven't destroyed all of the earth's tranquility. All around us you can hear the peaceful sounds of crashing waves from the sea, a gentle breeze carrying the sea breeze. The warm climate felt like a hug from a warm blanket.
It was in the middle of the night when we arrived from Unova, and their time difference was set back a few hours too. As I made my way towards the bottom of the steps off the plane, I turned round to see Serena walking down the steps, she's wearing her new clothes that she bought earlier that day. A pair of hugging blue jean style hot pants with black see through tights, a plain white sleeveless top with a blue jacket tied round her waist.
Watching her walk down the steps, was a sight to to see. I couldn't help but to stare; but putting it bluntly, she looks fucking hot. By the time she reached me at the bottom of the stairs, she giggled at me sweetly and sporting a slight blush from her pale cheeks, and said "Ash, you know it's rude to stare right?"
Smirking at her choice of words I couldn't help myself. Leaning towards her so my lips were next to her neck, making her look like I was going to kiss her sweet spot in public, I instantly felt her whole body tense up, she took a sharp intake of breath and held it in place, resulting to her heart beating louder.
I simply replied in a subtle husky voice "you should know... the thoughts I had of you in that few minutes aren't to be repeated in public... and that in my opinion is rude" I pulled myself away to gaze upon her reaction. She sported a bright red blush that filled me with excitement; glancing upwards to gaze into her wide bright blue eyes, I love making her feel that way, I can never get enough of the way she looks at me, if I wasn't in public in this precise moment in time; I couldn't be responsible for what would happen.
"Can you guys get moving? Looker is waiting for us!" Gary moaned because he isn't getting enough beauty sleep.
"Yeah Gary, sorry I forgot you need you beauty sleep don't you?" Glancing round smirking at him, I think it's it's fair to say he wasn't very impressed.
"Haha, Ashy boy, you will find that the ladies won't know what has arrived in Aloha! Lock up your daughters coz Gary Oak is here to stay!" He finished saying with a determined look on his face.
Laughing to myself watching my oldest and most trusted friend making an idiot of his imself, there is nothing I want more for him than happiness. Taking Serena's hand in mine, we all made our way to Looker where he was waiting for us with our luggage by a big black SUV vehicle.
As we climbed in, Looker took the driver's seat and we made our way over to the other side of Mele Mele Island, it was 3am in their time and we were all pretty much exhausted, Serena and I was the only ones who wasn't sleeping, she was however leaning on me, with her head lying on my chest; the rhythmic movements from my breathing she was reciprocating with me, until finally, she nodded off to sleep, I instinctively wrapped my arms and held her closely, giving her that security blanket of protection.
Time felt so slow till we reached the other side of Mele Mele Island.
My mind kept wondering back to when I found her again, she was sitting in one of the booths with Shauna, drinking a strawberry milkshake, I know that's her favourite. I kept my distance, seeing her smile, one I haven't seen since our first night together, it was a look of peace that she had found in her messed up world, but my eyes caught a hint of sadness of the life she didn't ask for. I felt obligated to give her the life she truly deserves.
A little more time had past and we finally arrived at the Grand Hotel, the clue is in the name, it was big, and high class, much different to what we had in the last few months. I glanced down to a sleeping soundly Serena, I didn't want to wake her.
However loud mouthed Gary Oak was almost shouted "WOW! This place is huge! Look you can see the ocean! Look there's a golf course! Wow I wonder what the inside looks like?" He was similar to dealing with a kid, however I couldn't help but smile at his antics, unfortunately that did wake Serena thanks to Gary, she fluttered her big bright blue eyes open, looking a bit dazed.
"Hey Sere we're here..." I softly spoke
"Hmmm... thanks Ash, I think I needed that power nap," she smiled at me.
I leant in reciprocating her smile giving her a peck on the lips, "shall we go check in and sleep some more?" I asked?
Her eyes glanced to the side of me, I followed her gaze to look upon the ocean, softly crashing waves hitting the sand, "actually can we watch the sunset?"
"Go on you love birds! Calem and I got the bags we'll see you later, pick up your room key at the desk" Gary exclaimed while struggling with 6 lots of luggage, the biggest was his.
As we climbed out the car, I took Sere's hand in mine, rounding to the side of the car, we watched Gary break a sweat lifting the luggage, "Thanks Gary..." I said
He just waved his hand to shoo us away, taking the hint we headed out towards the beach, he shouted out "don't do anything I wouldn't do!"
Serena giggled in response, seeing her smile filled my heart with joy. As we reached the beach we both sat down on the warm soft sand, looking out to the horizon admiring all the beautiful sights and colours, we sat there in silence as we watched the sun come up. I glanced to my right noticing her skin glowing brightly, I raised my thumb and finger under her chin slowly bringing her gaze towards mine, slowly closing the gap, I gave her a passionate kiss on the lips, as I broke us apart she looked at me with a slight confusion on her face, I took a deep breath
"I promise to love you Sere, there might not be a better place for me, than here, with you..." I began saying, I shifted my position so that I was on one knee in front of her, in my pocket I pulled out a small black box, she gasped bringing her hands over her mouth, I caught her gaze as she was shocked with what I was about to do.
"Serena Dawn Yvonne, I promise to love you unconditionally, I know I have made mistakes that I deeply regret. However there is one thing I am sure of, is that the moment I first set my eyes on you for your interview over 5 years ago, I knew I wanted you in my life forever. I vow to protect you from harm, to always do my best to make you happy, as you make me by breathing. I don't know what will happen in the future, but what I do know is that with you by my side, we will take everything in our stride. Will you do me the honour of becoming the other half of my heart?
