"At least I do my job. You're constantly fooling around instead of working. Logan, Patton, and I are focused on one thing and one thing only, making sure Thomas is safe and okay. But it seems like all you care about is trying to kill him!"
"That's a bold faced lie!"
"Is it now? It didn't seem like a lie when you almost made him shoot himself!"
"I was merely doing some light target practice when the bullet just so happened to ricochet off the metal and aimed at Thomas' eye. At least I moved him out of the way."
"You didn't move him at all, you just stared at the bullet, I had to move him. Look, I appreciate how you've been laying off me a little these past few months but this is getting out of hand. We have a job and we all have to do it 24/7, whether we like it or not. If so much as one of us gets too out of control, we all die. Did you really seem to forget that part or are you really that stupid?"
They both continued to argue back and forth as Logan and Patton watched the scene unravel. "I've had enough of their behavior. Patton, follow me." The moral side obediently followed him to the stairs with worried glances back at the two sides looking like they'd rip each others' throats out. "Wait, but what about them? What if something happens?"
Logan sighed and snapped his fingers, which was followed by silence as they continued to make their way up the stairs, "There, problem solved. Patton, I assume you are well aware of the "specialties" each trait possesses, am I correct?" Patton nodded. "Well, Roman can conjure up anything he pleases, you can speed up time, and Virgil's has yet to be determined. But I can alter negative energy by creating a logical scenario to fix the problem. As demonstrated on Virgil and Roman, their negativity was so strong I was able to teleport them to their rooms and make them fall asleep. But I have a feeling they'll still remember their fight once they awaken and try to continue it. So, I need your help. I need to somehow show them that they need each other without them thinking I'm in control of it. We both know they are highly emotional and could easily turn their problems onto me if they feel "attacked"."
Patton nodded, "So, what are we gonna do?" Logan opened his room, allowing the fellow trait to follow him. "What can we do? They're both stubborn, dramatic, and even though they're funny sometimes, it can be irritating."
Patton looked around and gasped with a smile, "A game show!" Logan raised an eyebrow, "Excuse me?" Patton chuckled, "You said you could fix the problem with an imaginary scenario, right? If you put them into a "game show" and make them fear their own deaths, you can force them to work together and trust each other!" Logan looked a little shocked and confused, "I saw it on Voltron." Patton explained. "Ah, I see. Well then, it's an amazing idea, Patton. If there is still some negative energy, of which there is most likely much more, I could create it right now so once they awaken, they will be there." Patton nodded and gave Logan a hug, "Let's hope this works. For Thomas." He whispered. Logan blushed and cleared his throat, "Uh, yes, f-for Thomas."

Roman's POV
I woke up and opened my eyes, wincing at the bright light. I tried to pull my arms but they were tied to a beam behind my back. "Woah, would ya look at that?! Our first contestant is finally awake. Let's have a bit of a backstory on this gorgeous sleeping beauty. He was once just a pretty face, no brains, all brawn." My eyes adjusted on the screen, a video of me tripping played and the audience roared with laughter. "But then, a beautiful prince entered this king's kingdom. It was love at first sight. And how does the knucklehead treat him? He makes fun of him, insults him, and makes him feel less than he is."
Everyone laughs once more as I hung my head in shame and anger. 'Why couldn't I have treated him better instead of being the idiot I am? He probably hates me now.' "Wow, good job, Princey, you finally got something right for once in your life." My head perked up at the sound of Virgil's voice. "And I don't probably hate you now. I do hate you. I always have and always will. You're a fool for thinking that'll ever change." The audience continues laughing. 'Why are they laughing? Are they that terrible that my misery is funny to them? I deserve it though, I was terrible to Virgil.'
"What the hell..." I hear someone mumble weakly next to me. I can't turn my head but I'm certain it belongs to Virgil. "And what a surprise, the nightmare before, after, and during Christmas has woken up! Here's the tragic telltale of this emo. He was happy in the dark side until he was made an official trait. He put on a brave face but inside he was a scared little boy in a man's world." A video of him and I arguing was played and the audience, well you know by now. "And he developed a crush on someone in the mindscape, ooh scandalous. What shenanigans could these two possibly get into on this episode of...Win Or Lose!" The host and the audience shouted together.
I gulped, 'Uh oh...'

Unbelievable, I have been drowned, trampled, stabbed, and shot in the entire time I've been here. But Virgil's was way worse. I had to watch him get suffocated, hung, dropped off a cliff, and slit on his throat. I'm starting to get the game though. We have to answer questions about each other and if it's right, we get 20 points. 80 points can get us a hint in the final round. Virgil is at 100 points, I'm at 80. But if the answer is wrong, we lose 20 points and get killed in front of everyone. He always came back but it was still painful.
"We are in our final round of Win Or Lose. We're gonna give both losers two questions that they're destined to get wrong and if they get them both right they'll live. If not, we will inch them closer and closer to their permanent deaths. Isn't that right, Loretta?" The host asked with an eerily bright smile. A lady was shown on the screen standing next to Virgil with a rope and a smile. "That's right, Dan."
"So, airhead- oh, sorry, Roman." Everyone laughed as I rolled my eyes. "Question 1 for you is what do you think of Virgil without telling him how you truly feel about him? And before you answer, we have turned on a truth filter so you can't lie. If you do, it'll be extremely painful. " I gulped. I saw Virgil's face on the screen, waiting expectantly for my answer. I knew once I opened my mouth, I'd say something that'd make Virgil not exactly like me. "I think V-Virgil is...uh, he's cu- I mean, ador- No, he's good! Yeah, he's good." I blurted out. I loosen my clenched fists and look up with a red face.
Dan looks confused then shrugs, "Eh, I'll accept it. Okay, now Virgil, what were you going to do and what did you end up doing on the day Roman went too far?" I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Of course I remember that day, Dad and Logan were freaking out about Virgil when they found him but they wouldn't let me see him. What I didn't know was what Virge was planning and what he did.
"Uh, I-I was pl-planning to ask R-Roman out on a d-date. He hurt me so I went to my room, had a p-panic attack, and tried to k-kill myself." Virgil said nervously. I hung my head low in guilt. I knew what I said was wrong but I didn't know it led him to that.
"Okay folks, now, for our last question, we will ask both contestants. Did you know that Lo-" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Dan was still, almost as if he were an animatronic that shut down. As a door in the corner of the stage opened I looked at it, hoping I'd find out who was the cause of this.
"Well it was running smoothly but I guess they all became autonomous."
"Logie, what does autonomous mean?"
"It means acting independently or having the freedom and will to do so."
"But you shut them down right?"
"Yes, Patton, I shut them down."
I heard a snap of fingers and suddenly I was on the floor in a now empty room. I look up to see Patton and Logan in front of me. "So you guys were behind this?" I heard Virgil weakly ask. Patton cringed a little then ran over to help him up. "Yeah, but it got out of hand. We didn't plan this, we promise." Logan helped me up.
"How about a movie night?" Logan suggested looking at Patton. He gasped and smiled widely. "Ooh, we could have hot cocoa, and blankets, and cookies. Should we watch Disney or Pixar?" Logan led the rambling father figure out of the room and winked at me before closing the door.
I turned to Virgil, "So, I-" I was cut off by a finger against my lips. "Can you stop talking so I can kiss you, you stupid prince?" Virgil asked with a smile. I nodded. He leaned in and met my lips. It was perfect.
