MJ→ Kim Myung Jun
"Okay, now slowly walk towards the water."
I did as instructed: stepping forward on the cold rocks and reaching go touch the water. My eyes wanted to turn to face the camera that filmed me diligently, but I resisted. I held my breath for a moment until my fingers gently curled the water into my palm.
"Good. Okay, cut!"
I let out the breath of air. I spun around to face the casting and staff crew. "We done?" I asked hopefully, a smile slowly making it's way to my lips.
The director nodded. "Yes, we're done for now."
I bowed. "Good work everyone!" I quickly slipped on my shoes and headed towards the changing room.
I was wanting to see him. Although I had no right to wish for such things, I wanted to see his smiley face. I wanted to tell him about my new project and that I'm a main character of a popular show.
I could feel my heart flutter at the thought of seeing him. My breathing became lighter as I thought of hearing his voice and being next to him. It was as if I was a different person.
The moment my door, I was surprised to see someone already in the room. "Excuse me? Can I help you?"
He turned his head slightly, removing the foiled balloon that blocked his face. He smiled. "Yes. I wanted to meet the main character of, 'The girl in the White dress'."
My eyes widened. "Myung Jun?"
"Surprise?" He asked, shrugging his shoulders with his grin widening. Myung Jun walked towards me with the balloon in hand. "Happy birthday!"
I stared at the balloon in his hand, trying to remove my attention to the beautiful face that focused on me. "This is for me?"
He nodded. "Of course! I have an event for you today." He looked behind me at the dressing roon door. "They said you can be done after that shot."
I bit my lip to hide a smile. "Really? My work is done?"
He made a face. "And we get to go on trips and see things!"
I walked over to the dressing rack and picked off my casual outfit. "Yes, that sounds like fun too. Let me get ready!"
He laughed and walked with me to the door. I pushed his back to quicken his leave before closing the door tightly. I leaned against it with a sigh.
"Who would have guessed," I whispered, smiling happily as I clenched the clothes between my hands. "That he would be waiting for me all this time?"
Despite his childish behavior, MJ was my crush. The one that I have always looked forward to see for seven years. He made my heart flutter and react in ways I never thought was possible. He didn't see me as this broken mess that wanted fixing, but a person that needed healing.
After my parents passed away, I had moved on to my acting career, which led me to meeting Myung Jun. He never, ever fails to brighten my mood. I feel safe around him and comfortable with speaking.
I changed into my clothes, widely pulling open the door to see MJ on his phone. "Ok! We can go." I reached down to pick up his belongings dropped on the floor and began to run to the back entrance. I stopped infront of it, looking over my shoulder to see if he followed. "Wait."
His eyes widened as he looked around. "What?"
"What if we get caught by photographers? Then rumors will start."
Jun furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he tried to understand my question. "But we are friends."
"Right, but didn't Eun Woo say to be careful? What should we do?" I bit my lip in thought, but nothing came to my mind.
MJ reached into his pocket. "Hand phone?"
I nodded. "Yeah! Call Eun Woo for help, he'll know!" I reached for the balloons in his hand and waited for him to make the call, knowing it would mean big trouble if we were caught alone.
"Morning call! I need help," he yelled into the phone, making me cringe and take a step back. "I'm trying to go out with actress/friend/is-a-girl/-" Myung Jun was cut of by Eun Woo's worried tone. "No, no, no! Friend!"
I turned away, knowing I couldn't look at him as he insisted our relationship was strictly business. I waited for the conversation to end before I lifted my head back up. "So? What do we do now?"
Myung Jun grinned, shoving his phone away. "Costumes! We should hide our faces!"
I frowned. "Costumes?" An image of animal costumes wrapped around us as we waddled into several places wandered into my head. I shook off the idea immediately. "No, no! How about a disguise?"
His shoulders dropped as I extinguished a bit of his excitement. "Alright." He waited for a minute, staring at the balloons before speaking again. "What do you have in mind?"
"Masks?" I suggested, knowing it was simpler than animal costumes. "We can get a few sweatshirts from the supply closet in my dressing room."
He nodded. "Oh-kay!" His finger swipped the air as he pointed to the side, directing us on where to go.
"Do you think anyone saw?" MJ whispered harshly, sneaking into the car he brought along.
"No, but I don't feel we have to whisper," I responded, pulling my mask down a bit. "Just drive to wherever you want to see first."
"Oh-kay! First stop: Astro's studio!"
I raised my eyebrows in surprise, but shrugged it off. "Don't wreck the car. We have to be there in one piece."
MJ reached for his phone again. "We made it out. We will be there soon."
"You guys are like two kids running around in Seoul," Moonbin's voice chimmed in through the speaker.
"Hey!" I respond quickly. "Didn't you know I was born before you?! I have lived here longer. You are the child!" Stubbornly, I pouted my lips and crossed my arms.
"Don't pout, it's unsightly," Sanha pipes up, giggling straight after. "Haha, I like that word."
I glared at the hand phone. "Just you wait. I am coming for all of you."
"Guys, she is scaring me. I'm hanging up." He hastily placed his phone away, glancing at me in the process. "Don't be mad."
I shook my head. "I'm going to be. They better pray I will have mercy on them." I stared out the window, faking my anger in hopes I could hold onto it just in case something went wrong. Today, I wanted it to be special.
We entered the building, and after several greetings to the staff, I headed straight for Moonbin. He was on the set for a photoshoot, but the moment he saw me trudging his way, he darted. I picked up my pace to run after him, chasing around staff and even other members.
"Get him! Oooh, get him! You can do it!" Rocky cheered as he watched from afar. "Run Bin, run! Oh! She's catching up!"
"Shut up!" Moonbin laughed, panicking as he listened to me come closer. "Stop chasing me!" He cried out as he saw a glimpse of me on his tail.
"No cake for you!" A voice shouted.
I stopped. Spinning around, I met the bright eyes of Moonbin's young girlfriend. I froze in my spot as she smiled at me and waved. "Long time no see."
"Yah!" I yelled, causing Eun Woo to jump in surprise. "Where have you been?"
I went straight for a hug, knowing that was what she expected.
Once I had grown comfortable with Astro-MJ's group- Moonbin had later on got a girlfriend. She was the only girl besides me, though, and she is a person you can always easily connect with. Despite me being older, I really felt cherished by her.
"Babe!" Moonbin called in a happy voice. "You saved me!"
She pulled away from my arms, glaring at him with a stare I never wanted to recieve. "You probably deserved it." Her attention turned back to me. "Want cake?"
"Of course!"
She guided me towards the large food table that was put off to the side. "Happy birthday, Unnie! I hope you get everything you wished for." She frowns for a second as she presents the cake. "I, had just made it back to Korea today, and I only had enough time to make the cake. I'm so sorry."
I shrug. "Cake is fine. I only want cake in life."
The other members gathered around after dimming the lights. The candles were lit and everyone began to sing my birthday song, smiling brightly at me. I could feel my heart starting to pound hard again as they sang.
"Make a wish!" Moonbin's girl chirped, holding the cake to me.
I wish I could always be a part of this big family.
They clapped. "Horray! You are a year older than earlier!"
I made a face. "Yay," I cheered unenthusiastically, slowly lifting up my fist.
"I would like to ask a question before my gift!" MJ yelled, waving his hand behind Sanha as he was blocking the way. After pushing through to see me, he smiled.
"What's up?" I asked in confusion. The lights came back on and I noticed something in his tightly curled hand.
"Will you be my girl?"
"Eh?"
Moonbin giggled, bowing his head onto his girlfriend's shoulder. She hit his back, not removing her focus from me. I looked to her in question and she nodded feverishly. My heart pounded as my attention went back to my first ever crush.
"Um, yes?"
