We pulled into his moms driveway and luckily the lights were still on so she was awake. We got out Brantley waiting for me at the front of the truck again. Instead of taking my hand this time he wrapped his arm around me.

"Two visits in one night. How lucky can a mother get?" Becky asked opening the door before we even made it into the porch.

"You're the luckiest mama in the world and you're about to be a happy one too." Brantley said smiling.

"Oh I am, am I? Well get your butts in here and tell me why." Becky said motioning for us to come inside. We all went and sat in the living room Brantley being the buttmunch that he is decided to sit in the chair instead of on the couch. So me being the girl I am sat on the couch and eyeballed him. After a minute I stuck my tongue out at him and he shook his head.

"Be nice." Becky said giving us a warning.

"Yes mama." We said at the same time.

"Why am I goin to be so happy?" Becky asked getting anxious.

"Well one your two favorite people are staying the night." Brantley said smiling a cheesy grin.

"Who are they?" Becky asked being sarcastic. I would say being a smartass but it's Becky and that just doesn't work for her.

"Really mama?" Brantley said all but rolling his eyes.

"I'm kidding baby. I'm glad y'all are staying it's like old times but the same rules still apply the door stays open." Becky said pointing a finger at us. Wonder if that rules about to change after Brantley tells her that we are together.

"I know mama. Now the other thing. Carter tell mama what i did." Brantley said looking at me. Way to put me on the spot asshole.

"Your son apparently has some romance in him. We went to my old high school and relived the homecoming night all over again, but the best part was this time he told me how he felt." I said smiling a stupid grin at Brantley.

"Does this mean y'all are finally together?" Becky asked.

"Finally? Not you too." I said.

"Sweetheart everyone knew you and Brantley would end up together but you two. My stubborn babies." Becky said smiling at us.

"Geez Brantley after hearing all this we sound really dumb." I said looking at Brantley who nodded in agreement.

"So mama are you happy?" Brantley asked.

"Of course I'm happy! You know I've been tellin you since the first time you brought Carter over here that you need that girl." Becky said smiling at me.

"BrantBear is that true?" I asked him.

"Yes it is angel. No matter how many times I told her we were just friends she kept pushin me." Brantley said smiling at his mom before looking at me.

"Guess I needed to push harder." Becky said and the three of us laughed. We stayed up a while longer reminiscing on events that took place at this house. It was actually crazy to think that all my best memories of growing up were here. Well not really growing up but my teenage years.

"Alright you two. This old lady is going to put her butt to bed. Since y'all are adults now I'm not gonna make you use separate blankets but that door stays open. Y'all ain't married yet." Becky said pointing a finger at us. She doesn't have to worry about that out of me. I promised my parents I wouldn't have sex until I was married and that's a promise I've kept and will continue to keep.

"We know mama. See ya in the morning." Brantley said hugging his mom.

"Goodnight son. I love you." Becky said.

"Goodnight baby doll. Love you too." Brantley said. I love how he treats his mom I hope my son treats me like that whenever I have a baby.

"Goodnight Carter Mae. I love you." Becky said hugging me.

"Goodnight mama. I love you too." I said hugging her back.

When Becky was upstairs Brantley looked at me and I looked back.

"What?" I asked trying not to smile.

"You gonna come sit with me?" He asked.

"Why don't you come over here?" I asked.

"Cause you can come over here." Brantley said.

"If I go over there I have to sit in your lap." I said still trying not to smile.

"Oh well." Brantley said shrugging. I eventually gave up over him sitting on the couch with me and went and sat in the chair with him.

"Happy now?" I asked sitting sideways so my legs were hanging over the side.

"Yes I am." Brantley said putting his arm over my legs.

"You got me over here. Now what are you gonna do?" I asked adjusting a little so I could wrap my arms around the back of his neck.

"Nothing. I just wanted you to sit with me." Brantley said smiling. He was wearing his hat and it was really getting on my nerves so I took it off his head and tossed it on the couch.

"You took my hat." Brantley said.

"What're you gonna do about it?" I asked.

"This." Brantley said and started tickling me. I was laughing and squirming around on Brantley's lap when my phone started going off again.

"BrantBear. I need to answer my phone." I said through fits of laughter.

"Nope." Brantley said still tickling.

"Baaaabbbeeeee." I whined and that made him stop and look at me. "What?" I asked a little confused.

"You called me babe." He said getting a cheesy grin on his face.

"So?" I asked.

"Nothin just feels more official." Brantley said still with that cheesy grin on his face.

"Fix your face. It's weird." I said rubbing my hand over it. Brantley just shook his head and I pulled my phone out of my pocket. I had a missed call from a number I didn't recognize.

"Do you know who this is?" I asked Brantley showing him the number.

"I don't think so." Brantley said.

"Should I call it back?" I asked.

"I'll do it." Brantley said taking my phone from me. Well alrighty then. I watched his face and I'm guessing the person on the other end answered cause he hung up.

"It was a guy." Brantley said.

"I don't know who." I said.

"The first thing he said was Carter." Brantley said looking a little mad.

"BrantBear, I swear I don't know who it was. If I did the number would be saved." I said putting my hands on both his cheeks.

"I know baby. It's just weird that some random number would call you knowing it was you." Brantley said.

"I know Brant but don't get mad at me." I said.

"I'm not mad at you baby. It's just weird." Brantley said wrapping his arms around me.

"Alright babe. I'm gettin sleepy." I said. I wasn't really I just didn't wanna sit in the living room anymore.

"We can go to bed." Brantley said.

"Carry me?" I asked like a little kid.

"But according to you, you're too heavy." Brantley said. I poked my lip out and gave him my puppy dog eyes. "You're such a cheater." Brantley said picking me up and carrying me to the bedroom.

"Is it winners never cheat or cheaters never win?" I asked.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Brantley asked. Okay maybe I really am tired.

"I don't know. Like I said I'm sleepy." I said giggling.

"You're strange." Brantley said dropping me on the bed with no warning.

"A warning would be nice." I said.

"Oh well. You wanna t-shirt?" Brantley asked.

"Yes please." I said smiling. Brantley threw one of his old t-shirts at me and I changed into it. Brantley changed into a pair of sweatpants and we got in his bed.

"The bed at your house is still better." I said. Brantley chuckled and pulled me close to him. Even though we've slept in his bed before it was never this close. I liked it though Brantley's body was so warm against my bare skin.

"Goodnight angel." Brantley said and kissed my forehead.

"BrantBear you missed." I said smiling.

"What'd i miss?" He asked.

"I wanted a kiss here not here." I said pointing at my lips then my forehead. Brantley chuckled and tilted my chin up to him and gave me one of his intoxicating kisses.

"Goodnight BrantBear." I said snuggling into his chest when he pulled away from the kiss.

"Goodnight angel." Brantley said tightening his grip around me.
