Chapter 58: Dakota Melissa Jones
CAMRYN'S POV
A few weeks later, Warped ended and I couldn't wait to get home. I had fun, but after that whole thing with Oliver, I wasn't really in the mood to do anything. I didn't leave the bus unless I had Chris or a member of my family with me and I didn't really want to leave anyway.
"Camryn, get your shoes on." My dad said, walking into my room.
"Why?"
"Your aunt went into labor." He said, going to go tell Danielle.
BLADE'S POV
"BOYS! LET'S GO!" Gabe yelled as he helped me out to the car. I saw the boys sprint out of the house and jump into the backseat. Gabe started calling our families as he pulled out of the driveway.
We got to the hospital and the boys sat in the waiting room while Gabe got me checked in. The nurses got me in a wheelchair and got me to my room while Gabe waited with the boys.
BLAKE'S POV
"Come on, let's go see your mom." My dad said five minutes after we arrived at the hospital. We nodded and got up, following him. We finally got to my mom's room and we slowly walked in.
"Hi boys." She smiled as she saw us.
"Hi." We said, slowly walking up to her.
"Give me a hug." She said, opening her arms. I hugged her and then Christian hugged her.
"So, this is it. Are you guys excited?" Our dad asked and we nodded.
"You'll have a little sister in a few hours...hopefully." Myn mom said.
"Hopefully?" Christian asked. God, this kid has a lot of questions.
"It can take a few hours to have a baby, or even a few days." My dad explained.
"Oh god." My mom groaned.
"Okay boys, let's go back out to the waiting room. I'll be right back Blade."
"Gabe, hold on." She said, holding out her hand and he grabbed it. He bit his lip and his eyes went wide as my mom squeezed his hand. "I swear to fucking God, Gabriel Derek Jones, we are never doing this again." She said as he walked back over to us.
"I didn't even really want to do it this time." He said, walking out of the room.
"Dad, are you scared?" Christian asked as we got onto the elevator.
"Well, having a baby is always nerve wracking, but I'm used to the whole routine now. I was a mess when Blake was born though."
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah, I had to run out to your mom with my pants around my ankles when she told me she was in labor with you. I mean, when we first found out your mom was pregnant with you, we had a big fight because we had just moved out of Granpa Andy's and Grandma Harley's and we still really only had enough money for food and rent and it takes a lot of money to have a baby. We just didn't have it and I was nervous, but we made it through."
"Did it hurt when mom squeezed your hand?" Christian asked.
"Yeah. Hold out your hand." My dad said as we got into the waiting room and Christian obeyed. My dad grabbed his hand and squeezed really tightly, making Christian squirm around.
"Did that hurt?" My dad asked and Christian nodded, rubbing his hand as my dad let go. "That's about how hard your mom squeezed my hand. Now take that pain and times it about ten, that's the pain your mom is feeling."
"Ow." Christian said and my dad nodded.
"Yeah, so it's okay for her to squeeze my hand and cause me a little bit of pain. She actually broke my hand when Blake was born."
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah." He said, pulling out his phone and pulling up a picture of him holding me after I was born..
"See, you can see where they wrapped up my hand." He said, pointing to his hand. "It was worth it though." He smiled, ruffling my hair.
"Alright, I'm going to go back to your mom. Are you guys okay out here by yourself?"
"Yeah." We said.
"Awesome, send Grandma Harley up when she gets here." He said and left.
BLADE'S POV
"It's a girl!" The doctor exclaimed as my daughter's cries filled the room. I burst into tears as the nurses placed Dakota on my chest.
"She's beautiful." I cried. The nurses took her away to go clean her up and my mom kissed my forehead.
"You did it Blade. You finally have a daughter, congratulations." My mom said before leaving the room. Gabe hugged me and kissed my lips.
They brought Dakota back in and handed her to me. I started crying again when I looked down at her sleeping face.
"You have your mini me." Gabe said, kissing my cheek. "She looks just like you."
"I guess she does, doesn't she? Hi Dakota, I'm your mommy." I said, stroking her cheek. "Here, you hold her." I said, handing her to Gabe.
"Hey Dakota, I'm your daddy and I love you so much." He said, kissing her forehead. He talked to her a little more before handing her back to me.
"Do you want me to go get the boys?" He asked and I nodded. He left and I just couldn't stop looking down at Dakota, my daughter. I heard the door open and looked to see Gabe and the boys walk in.
"Hey boys." I smiled. "Do you want to hold your sister?" I asked and they nodded.
"Here Blake."
BLAKE'S POV
I walked up to my mom and took Dakota from her arms. I held her and smiled down at her.
"I can't believe I'm a big brother again." I said.
"Yeah, and you're a big brother." My dad said, lightly punching Christian in the arm. Christian stood next to me and looked at Dakota while I held her.
"Christian, do you want to hold her?" My mom asked him and he nodded. I carefully handed Dakota to him and a smile spread across his face.
"See, now she doesn't look so alienish." My dad said with a laugh.
"A little bit." He said.
"She'll look more human like as she get's older. Just wait a few months." My mom said.
"Look what I found." My dad said, showing his phone to my mom.
"Oh my god, I remember that!" She exclaimed.
"What?" I asked. He showed me the picture on his phone that was from a long time ago. It was after Christian was born and I was two. I was holding him and my dad was behind us.
"Wow dad, you looked really young." Christian said.
"So did you." My dad smirked.
"Oh my god, I need to take another picture." She said. My dad handed his phone to my mom and Christian and I sat down, my dad getting behind us. My mom took a picture and wiped away a few tears.
"Are you okay?" Christian asked as my dad gave Dakota back to my mom.
"I'm just really happy." She said.
"Emotional." My dad mumbled to us.
"Gabriel Derek!"
"I didn't say anything, I swear." He said, holding up his hands in surrender. "Now, do you boys want to stay in here or go back out to the waiting room.
"Waiting room." We both said.
CAMRYN'S POV
Blake and Christian walked back out with their dad, Blake walking back over to me. My Uncle Gabe called my Grandpa Andy and my Grandma Harley back along with his parents.
"So, how was it?" I asked.
"I dunno." He shrugged. "I mean, I have a little sister now and that's cool." He said. It wasn't long before my Uncle Gabe came back out to grab my parents and siblings, along with my Uncle Onyx, Aunt Bailey and Luke. We were all led to the room and they started passing the baby around the room.
"This is Dakota Melissa Jones." My Uncle Gabe smiled, handing her to my mom.
"Aww, she's so adorable. She looks so much like you Blade." My mom said. "Brandon, this makes me want to have another baby."
"No!" He exclaimed. "No more babies, we are done."
"I know." She said, handing Dakota to my dad.
"Wow, I can't believe I finally have a niece. She's so beautiful Blade."
"Thank you." My Aunt Blade said. My dad handed her off to me and I smiled down at her little face.
"She's so cute." I said as she opened her eyes. "Oh, she just woke up."
"What color are her eyes?" My Aunt Bailey asked.
"Dark blue."
"She has your eyes." My Uncle Gabe smiled as my Aunt Blade.
"It's official, she's my mini me." My Aunt Blade said. When Dakota got to Eli and Eddie, my dad kneeled down in front of them to make sure they didn't drop the baby. After everyone held the baby, we left the room and went home.
