Chapter 12: I Laid The Gods To Rest
BRANDON'S POV
"How's your hangover?" Alex chuckled as she walked in with medicine and water. I just groaned, swallowing the pills.
"Are the kids at school?"
"Yeah."
"I should probably get ready for work." I said, looking at the time and she nodded. She left so I could get ready. An hour later, I was ready and walked out of the room.
"Ooh, guess what." Alex said.
"What?"
"Chris asked Camryn out yesterday!" She said with a smile.
"What!" I exclaimed.
"Yup, our little girl has a boyfriend." Alex smiled, taking a sip of her drink.
"I'm going to have to talk to her when I get home."
"Brandon, you promised you wouldn't freak out." Alex said and I grumbled under my breath.
"I'll try." I sighed. "See you." I said, kissing her lips. "Love you."
"Love you too." She said as I left.

I was able to get off of work early so I decided to go talk to my dad before going home and talking to Camryn. To be honest, I was clueless and scared about Camryn having a boyfriend. I pulled into my dad's driveway and got out, walking up to the door. I knocked and my dad opened with a smile, pulling me in for a hug.
"Look at you, looking all nice." My dad laughed.
"Yeah, I got off work early." I shrugged. "I actually need to talk to you, do you think we could take a walk?"
"Yeah." He said goodbye to my mom before walking out of the house. We walked down the sidewalk a bit before he spoke.
"So, what's up?"
"Camryn has a boyfriend."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, it's some new kid that moved here from Florida and Camryn was his first friend. She's in most of his classes and they're partners on an english project. According to Alex, after Chris left our house, she fell on the ground screaming because this Chris kid asked her out."
"Well, Gabe was a new kid, remember?"
"Oh yeah. Anyway, I'm just scared. I mean, I obviously want to meet this kid. I have to talk to Camryn when I get home but, I don't know, I'm just scared. I don't want to freak out on her, you feel me?"
"Yeah, definitely don't freak out on her. Just sit her down and calmly talk to her. Tell her the ground rules that you and Alex agree on about her dating this boy and make it known to her that you have to meet him and you have to meet him soon. Maybe he should even meet her grandpa." My dad winked at me.
"No, you stay out of this for now." I laughed. "Besides, I'm sure you'll meet him at some point. He's probably going to come to band practice at one point or another. From the way Alex sees it, they're apparently going to be together for a while."
"Brandon, they're in eigth grade, those relationships don't usually last."
"Blade and Gabe started dating in seventh."
"Shh." My dad said with a laugh. We talked a bit more before coming back around to his house. I hugged him before getting into my car and driving home.
CAMRYN'S POV
"CAMRYN! CAN YOU COME DOWN HERE?" My dad called. He had only been home for about ten minutes. I walked down to see my dad sitting on the couch and my mom cooking dinner.
"Yes?"
"Your mother told me about Chris." My jaw dropped as I looked at my mom.
"W-What? W-What the fuck did she tell you!"
"Just that you guys are dating."
"MOM! HOW COULD YOU!" I screamed.
"Camryn, calm down and sit. Just listen to your father." I sighed and sat down, looking at him with my arms crossed.
"I bet you guessed that I want to meet him."
"Daaaaad!" I groaned.
"Don't worry, I won't do anything to ruin you guys. I just want to make sure he's good for you." I sighed.
"He is!"
"I need to make sure." I rolled my eyes.
"Fine."
"So, bring him home with you on Tuesday, okay?" I nodded and he smiled, kissing my forehead. "Love you Camryn."
"Love you too dad." I said, getting off the couch.
"Dinner will be ready in thirty minutes!" My mom called.
"Have you finished your homework?" My dad asked.
"Yep!" I said as I started up the stairs.
*Tuesday*
I took a deep breath and gripped Chris' hand as we walked into my house.
"WE'RE HOME!" I called as Danielle ran up the stairs.
"Hi Chris, I'm Camryn's father, Brandon Biersack." Chris dropped my hand and looked at my dad with wide eyes.
"H-Hi." He stuttered, shaking my dad's hand. Chris turned to me, a surprised look still on his face. "Why didn't you tell me who your family was?" He asked. "S-So, your last name is Biersack?" Chris asked me and I nodded.
"Andy Biersack is my grandpa, his son is my dad, Jake Pitts' daughter is my mom, Bailey Smith is my Aunt, Onyx Smith is my uncle, I could go on." I giggled.
"Oh my God." Chris said and my dad slightly chuckled at him.
"Chris, why don't you follow me to the living room. Camryn, go up to your room." I sighed and went up the stairs, scrolling through Instagram.
"CAMRYN!" My dad called about thirty minutes later. I dropped my phone and ran downstairs. "You've got yourself a very nice young man." My dad smiled. Chris grabbed my hand and kissed my lips before turning to face my dad and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Okay, you two have homework to do, right?" My dad asked and we nodded. "Okay, you can do it out here."
"But daaaad!" I whined.
"No buts Camryn, you guys are out here in the living room."
"This house has too many people! We're not going to get anything done."
"Yeah, well you're not going to get anything done in your room either."
"DAD!"
"Camryn, I am your father and you will listen to me. What's your homework over?"
"Health." I said quietly.
"Nope nope nope, I've fucking been through this before. You guys are fucking sitting out here. I knew these two sixteen year olds who had health homework. His mom wasn't home so they were in his room. One fucking thing led to another and the girl ended up getting an abortion at sixteen. You know who what was? Annabelle and Hunter. Bottom line, you guys are down here. I have a lot of work to do so I'll be in my office, your mom is taking Danielle over to Ember's and then going to the store. Your brothers are upstairs playing. You have the whole downstairs to yourself." He said before walking off.
I groaned and sat down, running my fingers through my hair. He sat down next to me and kissed my cheek, hugging me.
"I hate that he doesn't trust me." I pouted.
"You can't blame him Camryn."'
"You're supposed to be on my side!" I exclaimed and he just laughed.
"It's kind of hard to do when your dad is the son of fucking Andy Biersack! Why didn't you tell me?"
"I just wanted to see if I could make a friend without them knowing my family. And it worked."
"Yup, you made a boyfriend." He smirked, kissing my lips.
"I'll be right back, I have to go get my stuff." I said before running upstairs.
BRANDON'S POV
I went into my office and called my dad, waiting for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey dad."
"Oh, hey Brandon. Is Chris there?"
"Yup, just talked to him. He seems like a really nice kid and, get this. He's a huge fan of BVB, SC and bands like that!"
"Awesome!" He said, I could tell he was smiling.
CAMRYN'S POV
I was sitting on the couch, making out with Chris when I heard my brothers running down the stairs.
"I'M GOING TO GET YOU!" Eli yelled as he ran after Eddie. I sighed and broke apart from Chris, watching the two boys run around the couch.
"DAD! COME GET YOUR CHILDREN!" I screamed, hoping he would hear me. I turned to Chris and smiled at him. "Sorry." I said.
"It's fine." He said, kissing my lips again.
"EW!" I heard and turned to see my two little brothers staring at us.
"Go find daddy."
"Boys! Who wants to watch Batman?" My dad asked, walking into the room.
"THEY WERE KISSING!" Eddie yelled.
"You have cooties now." Eli said, turning to us.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I screamed at them.
"Camryn, don't talk to your brothers like that. Eli, Eddie, go get your Batman suits on. I'll put the movie on for you in my room."
"OKAY!" They yelled, running up the stairs, my dad following behind them. We were kissing again when the two terror twins ran down the stairs again. They made flying noises as their capes flapped behind them.
"I'M GOING TO GET YOU BATMAN!" Eddie yelled, both of them running around in their Batman suits.
"NO YOU'RE NOT EVIL BATMAN!" Eli yelled.
"Boys! Up here!" My dad called, grabbing them and carrying them upstairs. We did a bit more homework before there was a knock on the door. Suddenly, my Grandpa Andy ran into the room, sitting on the coffee table in front of us.
"So you're Chris, huh?" My grandpa asked with a smile.
"Andy, don't freak the poor boy out. I did that enough with your son." My Grandpa Jake laughed, walking into the room.
"Oh my God." Chris said quietly.
"Dad, listen to Jake for god sakes, I need your help with the boys." My dad said, walking in.
"Why are they here?" I asked my dad.
"I'm obviously here being sexy." My Grandpa Andy said, flipping his head since his hair was cut short and striding around the room, shaking his hips.
"Stop, you're an old man, sexy left a long time ago." My dad said, laughing. My Grandpa rushed back over and looked at Chris up and down.
"I heard you're a fan of Black Veil Brides and Stormy Copper." Chris nodded. "Who's your favorite member of BVB?" He pointed at both of my grandpas. "How about SC?"
"Bailey and Onyx." He said quietly.
"I APPROVE!" My grandpa yelled, standing up and skipping around the room.
"Dad! Stop interrogating him! That's my job!" My dad laughed.
"We were kind of doing homework." I mumbled.
"If by homework you mean kissing." My dad said, making kissy noises and my Grandpa Andy joined in.
"Daaaaaaad!" I whined.
"Calm down Camryn. Your dad can do that now that he's a parent. We used to tease your parents all the time when they were your age." My Grandpa Jake said, patting my head.
"ELI! COME DOWN HERE FOR YOUR GUITAR LESSON! GRANDPA JAKE IS HERE!" My dad yelled. "Go watch Batman with Eddie. He's in my room." My dad said to my Grandpa Andy.
"YAY!" He screamed like a five year old, sprinting up the stairs.
"If you want to date Camryn, this is the crazy family you have to get used to." My dad laughed, talking to Chris. Eli came running down and grabbed onto my Grandpa Jake's leg.
"Daddy, can I stay in my costume."
"Sure."
"Alright bud, let's go." My grandpa said, picking up Eli and taking him to the music room. My dad left as well, leaving us alone again.
