Chapter 32: Dear Hermione
Draco stared at the spot where Hermione had stood just moments before. He sighed and walked what seemed like miles to his room.
Once he reached his room, he took out a piece of parchment, a quill and a bottle of ink. He sat down at his study table and started writing.
Dear Hermione,
I can just feel my heart aching as I write this but I understand if you don't ever want to see me again. I deserve that for being such a jerk to you.
There's something you don't know about that bet and I promise I will explain all this to you when all of this is over.
You don't have to forgive me...I know that you won't believe me when you read this but, I swear...
I've fallen for you, Hermione Granger.

A tear escaped from Draco's eye as he put the letter into the envelope. He didn't send it, for he was afraid that Hermione would reject it.
He knew it would be sent at the right time.
With that, Draco slowly put the letter down on his table and climbed into bed, memories of Hermione replaying in his mind.
