I rolled around my bed trying to ignore the noise that was irritating my soul.
Mike was awake texting someone on his phone.
"Whats wrong, Jacob?"
"You don't hear that sound?" I asked.
"What sound?"
I shook my head. Does he seriously not hear that sound??
"Its loud as a bitch. You don't hear it??? It keeps going like "Sssssssssssssss."
Mike tried to hold in his laughter.
"That ain't funny! I'm serious!"
"Feel your pants. Maybe you pissed on yourself." He screamed between laughs, rolling on his bed."
"FUCK YOU!!" I yelled, giving him the finger.
"Nah, I only fuck girls!" Mike said, throwing his hands up in defense.
He sounded so stupid.
"Nigga, how you fuck girls but you only twelve?"
"Okay and?? You twelve too! In fact, I'm older so HA!"
"And you ugly too." I shook my head and walked out the room.
The hallway was dimly lit with yellow lights and it was very quiet.
"Ssssssssssssssssssss"
There go that sound again. I made sure a bathroom wasn't next to my room. There wasn't. I walked further down the hallway to find a bathroom when a shadow ran into me.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Me and the person screamed at once. We caught our breaths and suddenly, the person grabbed my hand and ran into the bathroom with me.
Turns out it was a girl who looked my age with beautiful mixed brown and blonde hair.
"I'm scared!!!" She sobbed, running into my arms.
"You hearing the noises too, huh?"
The girl looked up at me with her big pretty brown eyes.
"Wait..you know what I'm talking about?"
I nodded looking around.
"Yeah. You aren't the only one. I'm Jacob Perez. What's your name?"
The girl took herself out my arms and extended her hand.
"I'm Ally. Ally Brooke. Nice to meet you."
We shook hands, giggling at each other.
"Now what?" She asked.
"We get out this bathroom!"
We opened the door and slowly tip toed out the bathroom.
"Sssssssssssssss"
Me and Ally gasped, freezing where we stood.
"The noise has gotten louder!!" Ally freaked out. "What is it? What are we gonna do?"
"Uhhhh." I was getting nervous. "Weeee.....go get a broom. Yeah a broom!! Me and you are gonna get a broom! And we will follow the noise A-a-aannd beat the monster with it!!"
Ally rose an eyebrow, but smiled.
"That's a great idea!! Let's do it!!!"
We both went back into the bathroom and got our brooms. Then I ran into my room and grabbed my ninja gloves and an extra pair for Ally.
When we were all ready, we followed the noise. It got closer and closer the further we walked down the long hallway. The hallway began to get darker and darker.
"Oh shoot!! Its getting too dark!"
"Right! I said, holding my broom up in defense mode."
"SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSS SSS SSSSSSSSS"
"SHUT UP!!!!" we both screamed, swatting our brooms in different directions.
Suddenly, something crashed and the noise stopped.
"What do you think happened?" I asked, looking around.
"I don't know."
"WHAT THE HELL YALL DOING UP????" Someone yelled from behind us. That someone was Elijah, who was standing in front of a girl and a goth boy.
"Well, we heard a noise. So we were trying to find out where it was." Ally explained.
"Right. I couldn't sleep. It was so irritating."
The girl by Elijah looked like she was about 16.
"Hey Ally, let's go back to bed. Okay? You don't want to miss anything fun tomorrow, right?" She asked, grabbing Ally's hand.
"Right. Bye Sha-Kob!!" She waved her hand at me. I laughed at the way she mis-pronounced my name.
"Its Jacob! Bye, Ally!!" I waved back as I walked over to Elijah.
He was glaring at me with all sorts of evil in his eyes.
"I should punch yo ass."
"Why? I was scared!" I defended myself.
"No, because you didn't call on me or wake up Mike. You know I can't stand you walking around all by yourself."
I inhaled and exhaled. "I'm not a baby, Elijah. I can take care of myself."
"OK, but you my best friend and you're the youngest. So clearly, you a baby." He laughed. "But why you ain't wake up Mike?"
"Mike was up. He saw me when I walked out the room."
"Oh, word? Elijah raised his eyebrows.
"Yeah."
"Mhmm. Okay."
Elijah picked me up with one arm and carried me back to my room. Mike was still up texting when he opened the door. He put me in my bed and turned on the light.
"I should punch you in your face!!!" He yelled, pointing to Mike.
"What? I ain't do anything!"
"Exactly! I told yo ass not to let baby cakes run around this bitch like its a playground. Anything could've happened to him.
"You ain't say all that. All you said was keep an eye on him."
Mike retorted, trying to be funny.
Elijah picked up a remote and threw it at his head.
"Ow! That hurted, you bastard!!"
Mike rubbed his head
"It should've cracked your head open. Don't let that happen anymore!"
Elijah walked out and slammed the door.
"I swear, he loves you too much."
"Well, that's not my problem." I snuggled up in the covers.
Mike got up from his bed and turned the light off.
"Night, Jacob."
"Night, Mikey." I said before falling asleep.
