Two hands reached for the Star Wars toy set.
"Uh, I saw that first," he spoke first, looking at you.
"Nu uh, I saw that first," you replied, eyebrows furrowing at the other.
"It's the last one in stock-!"
"Are you kidding me? I went every store at this time just to find that!" you pointed at the toy set.
"Well, sorry, I literally saw it first, so.." he took the box of the Star Wars merchandise the same time you gripped it.
"I. Saw. It. First," you pulled the box. He (literally) tried to bite your hand off and you both wrestled for the box, fighting each other.
At the end, the box fell to the floor, a five year old kid picking it up. He smiled brightly and the two of you gaped, watching the child ran off to his own mother, bringing the box with him.
"Um..okay, well..that's sad," the guy spoke, looking at you. "We both didn't get it,"
"It's midnight," you checked your watch. "I wasted three hours for that thing,"
"So.." the other sighed. "I'm Mathias,"
"_________," you nodded. "Nice meeting you. I'm going home,"
"Yeah, I mean, want me to escort you? You can't just go home by yourself," Mathias offered.
"Pfft, you think I'm going with a stranger? You might be a drug dealer for all I know,"
"You assumed me as a drug dealer when we literally fought over a Star Wars merch set?"
"I'm not saying no," you smiled, in which he grinned back.
