Under the Jeju Island's blue sky, the sun casts a warm noon glow, and the fluffy clouds unfurl like cotton candy. The scenic view, seemingly painted with a magical hand, exudes aesthetics and provides calmness, inviting everyone in the most welcoming way to the beach house on the island.
As they step inside the house, the glass wall glistens, revealing the beach as soon as the door opens ajar. The cold breeze hits their faces, and the sounds of waves become a melody to their ears. "Wow, what a cool place, Chaeng, you've got taste in choosing, huh?" Jihyo utters, her face etched in awe, feeling sophisticated by the view welcoming them.
"Yaa, of course. My taste is rare and high. If not, I wouldn't have Mina now," Chaeyoung chuckles as he gets a chance to flirt in their midst of admiring the beach house decorations, views, and vibes that unfold before their eyes.
Mina beams a smile to him, knowing how her boyfriend won't stop sugar-coating her. While the others seem to give a damn about nothing but touring around the house, not leaving even a single corner untouched.
Jeongyeon's eyes glitter as he steps onto the balcony at the backyard. "Nice, we got a swimming pool too?" He then slightly bends to touch the cold water in the pool with Nayeon standing beside him.
Chaeyoung and Mina join NaJeong at the pool near the balcony. "Sheesh, should we jump in now?" Chaeyoung suggests.
"Idiot, it's still early. I'm hungry, why not we get something for lunch?" Jihyo suddenly emerges towards them.
"Tsk!..fine," Chaeyoung clicks his tongue.
"What should we have? Anyone has any idea?" Nayeon mutters while taking out her phone, opening the food delivery apps.
"You should ask Momo then; she's already an expert in what to eat. She was up along the journey, surveying local and popular food here," Jihyo says while her eyes scan for Momo.
"Argh, that girl is always excited about food, then nagging about her weight.." Jeongyeon chimes in.
As the afternoon unfolds, they all have their lunches, ordering some kinds of food that Momo suggested. The lively atmosphere, featured with breathtaking views, ignites the spark of holiday mood in the circles.
As they circle around the table, Tzuyu blurts out, "So what are we gonna do after this?" He says the words with a mouthful while glancing at each of them.
"I just want to jump into the pool," Chaeyoung replies as his gaze moves towards the swimming pool, his eyes sparkling like a little kid's.
"Yaa, you are so childish. So impatient like a child," Jihyo nags.
"Say whatever you want, I still want to swim," Chaeyoung firmly says, not wanting to let his fans down.
"I want to come with you, Chaeng!" Sana suddenly intertwines, her eyes delicately looking at him. Chaeyoung acts casual, not seeming surprised or shocked.
"Sure, Sana-yaa.. do you want to join me too, babe?" Chaeyoung offers the warmest smile, making Mina raise her brows, seemingly contemplating.
"You guys go first; I'll come later, Chaeng. Just need to wait until the food is properly digested," Mina utters while pressing a soft smile across her face.
"You are only asking for Mina? What about me, Chaeng?" Tzuyu scoffs.
"Arghh, he's at it again," Chaeyoung sighs before standing up, clinking the metal spoon against the glass cup, all attention now on him. He clears his throat. "Attention guys, I am Son Chaeyoung, lightheartedly inviting all of you guys to join me swimming right at this moment. If any of you want to join me, please don't be hesitant. Especially to my guest of honor, my best friend among the best, Chou Tzuyu, will you come and swim with me?" Chaeyoung announces, trying to suppress his laugh.
Tzuyu feels annoyed and triggered, yet still, his expression is tinged with amusement. "Mina-yaa, tell me how you can survive living with this idiot? If I were his girlfriend, I might drown him in the pool right now," he grimaces.
"Oh, shut up, that's why Mina is my girl because she has a pure heart like an angel, nothing like you, Tzu," Chaeyoung fires back at Tzuyu. Mina replies nothing to Tzuyu's question, instead joining others bursting into laughter as they enjoy the civil war between those two.
"But why did you invite only the guys, Chaeng-aa? What about the girls? I want to join too," Momo innocently interrupts. Her face is clearly clueless.
"Momo-yaa, don't make me make an announcement again, please," Chaeyoung rubs his nose bridge while others can't help but crack up with laughter even more.
Now, Chaeyoung only clad in shorts and shirtless, ready to dive into the pool. Together with him are Dahyun and Momo in their casual t-shirts and shorts, preparing themselves to join Chaeyoung swimming.
The rest of them are now sitting around the tables near the swimming pool, delving into conversations while eating some chips and drinking some juices.
Chaeyoung stands a few steps away from the frame of the swimming pool. "Here, Son Chaeyoung, the greatest swimmer in this century is coming through!!!" He shouts and takes a deep breath before starting a little run and finally making a backflip, jumping into the pool.
"Yaa!!! What the heck, Son Chaeyoung, I'm all wet now uhh !!!" Jeongyeon shouts out as the water splashes out, hitting their bodies due to Chaeyoung's jump.
"Idiot, you better behave before I drown you to death down there !!!!" Jihyo joins in with fiery tones in her voice while wiping away the drops of water from her shirt.
Dahyun and Momo, on the other side, didn't want to get scolded like Chaeyoung, so they take the stairs down into the pool.
After about 15 minutes of swimming, Chaeyoung gets out of the pool, the drops of water dripping from his body, his shorts tightly wrapped around his lower body.
As he walks towards the others at the table, Tzuyu smirks, "That boy really loves to show off, huh?"
"Mina-yaa, your boyfriend is so hilarious," Jihyo adds, giving a naughty smile to Mina.
"Ehh?" Mina focuses her gaze on Chaeyoung. His naked upper body, with the sunlight hitting him, the drop of water appears glistening like a crystal scattering on him. Somehow it makes him look kinda hot in Mina's eyes as his abs and muscles prominently stand out, his toned chest breathing faster, his veins near his v-line appear popped out.
"Babe..I want some juices too," Chaeyoung pants as he stands beside Mina.
"Which juices do you want, Chaeng?" Jeongyeon intertwines with silly smiles on his face.
Mina's speechless as she gets what Jeongyeon means, couldn't help but hide her shy smiles despite her face blushing in pink.
"Heh, you better wash your boyfriend's dirty mind, Nayeon-aa. He's getting wilder after your engagement yesterday, maybe he can't get enough yet," Chaeyoung chuckles and Nayeon covers her mouth with her palm as she bursts into laughter while the other palm keeps hitting Jeongyeon's shoulder.
"Here, babe," Mina flushes away the sensual feelings and the tinge of laughter while offering the orange juice to Chaeyoung.
He tilts his head down, and slurps the juice from the straw, his eyes flirtatiously meet Mina who is now holding the juice for him. Mina reciprocates the gaze, feeling a bit hot because of Chaeyoung's stare, her lips slightly part away and her heart beating faster.
As he's done slurping the juice, he smirks at her girlfriend, "Thank you, babe..." Chaeyoung leans closer, his mouth inches away from her ears, he whispers "for the juice, it tastes good," he teases Mina.
Mina presses her lips tightly, trying her best to act nonchalantly despite her own feelings now already messed up because of Chaeyoung's pervert demeanor.
As Chaeyoung goes back to swim, Mina sits at the edge of the pool, dipping her legs into the water while watching for her boyfriend swimming and playing around with Momo and Dahyun.
"Baby...why are you smiling alone?" Chaeyoung comes close to Mina. "Come join me down here," Chaeyoung pleads while shivering in the cold water.
Mina's eyes shine a lovely smile for him and her hand stretches to mess up Chaeyoung's wet hair. "Just you look extra handsome today," Mina utters and pinches his nose which gains giggles from Chaeyoung. "Stay there, I'll take your picture," she holds her phone and snaps Chaeyoung's picture.
As she's done taking some Chaeyoung's pictures, Mina decides to join Chaeyoung's swimming. She then walks inside the house first to change her clothes into a suitable one to swim.
As she steps inside the house, she exchanges a warm smile with Sana that just comes out from her bedroom, wearing a swimming crop top with shorts that barely cover her thighs, enhancing her well-framed body and giving a sexy vibe within her as a model.
Sana sways her legs, closing the distance to the pool and her eyes spot Chaeyoung. "Chaengi, does the water deep?" Her voice is somewhat little nervous laced with excitement.
"No..it's not that deep, come down here, Sana-yaa," Chaeyoung walks in the water to Sana who is standing near the pool stair.
"Are you sure?? It seems a little deep for me," Sana hesitates while taking one step down on the stairs.
"Believe me, it's not..hurry up," Chaeyoung grins looking at the scaredy Sana.
Sana's legs are a bit shaking as she takes another step down, her legs touch the surface of the water. "Yaa, yaa..It's so cold," Her brown eyes glint and her face is engraved with nervousness. "Help me, Chaengi," her hands hang out, waiting for Chaeyoung to take her.
Chaeyoung shakes his head, not leaving a smile for Sana as he holds her hand, helping her to get down, his voice softens, "Come..hold onto me," their hands are now intertwined.
As Sana is now completely in the water, she barely feels her legs touch the floor of the swimming pool. She starts to panic. "Uhhhh wait, don't let me go yet, Chaengi," her legs tiptoe in the water trying to step onto the floor, her hands reflexively hold onto Chaeyoung's shirtless chest and shoulder.
"Alright, alright, I won't... slowly, Sana-yaa," Chaeyoung casually holds Sana's waist, holding her close to him just to help her.
Unbeknownst to them, Mina emerges after changing her clothes and stands frozen near the balcony door frame, observing Sana and Chaeyoung holding onto each other. Her eyes burn with fury as she notices Sana's hand placement on her boyfriend's body. Her blood boils at the sight of Chaeyoung touching Sana here and there, triggering a surge of jealousy within her. Her breath quickens, unable to contain the turmoil inside her any longer, causing her to turn away and retreat to the bedroom, tears streaming down her cheeks unexpectedly.
As she rushes inside, suddenly she bumps into Tzuyu. "Ouch," Tzuyu winces and flinches back slightly. "Mina-yaa, did you run from a ghost?" He is about to tease her, but suddenly he hears her sobs. "Hey, are you okay?"
Mina hangs her head down, trying to avoid Tzuyu's eye contact. "Yeah... I'm fine," she sniffs before dashing away into the bedroom.
Tzuyu is bewildered, but once he steps onto the balcony, his heart aches a bit, seeing how Sana is hanging onto Chaeyoung. He bites his lower lip and blinks his eyes repeatedly. 'So, this is why you're running away, Mina-yaa?' His mind speaks, even though he also struggles with his own emotions by the scene unfolding before him.
