Kathir was impatiently pacing across the backyard lounge while peeping at the back entrance. He sighed when he noticed Anjali sneaking out of the door. He quickly hid behind a tree and noticed her walking into the back yard while looking around to confirm there was no one.
Anjali: enna vara solitu ivuru enga pona…
Before she completed speaking she yelled in fear when someone jumped in front of her with a squeal.
Kathir laughed at Anjali who stood there closing her face with palms.
Kathir: Hey nan tha.. kana thira..
Anjali shook her head without removing her hand, making him chuckle. Kathir smiled at her and removed her palms from her face but she had her eyes closed. He moved back a little to take a look at her, she had draped a simple Georgette saree and her hair was neatly combed. Her lip gloss told him that she had retouched it just before coming to meet him. She looked ethereal with thick yellow thread, the kumkum on the hair partition and newly wedded glow even in that simple outfit.
He bent to be parallel to her face and blew near her earlobes making her jerk open her eyes.
Anjali: Kathir.. Ethuku ipadi Baya paduthuna?
Kathir: pina enna una vara soli evalo neram aachu ?

Silence was her reply and he kept moving forward while she closed her eyes tight and gulped. She frowned when she felt a finger swipe on her lips and soon she lost his proximity. She opened her eyes to find him chuckling with his index finger on display.

Kathir stayed silent with a smile and she raised her eyebrows questioning for which he nodded a no.

She stopped him while he tried moving towards her lips. She panted when their lips were just a little apart but was quick to regain her consciousness and push him away.
Anjali: Venda Kathir..

Kathir was evidently upset and moved away from her. Anjali sighed before moving to hug his arms and lay on his shoulders. She made him face her holding his chin.
Anjali: kovam ah ?
Kathir twisted his lips and turned away while she forcefully turned him once again.
Anjali: 3 years wait pantom innum 2 days thena ?

Anjali chuckled but bit back when he glared at her.

He said and dragged her to the nearby stone seater before they settled down to get some time for themselves.

On the other hand Maya who lost her sleep out of something that kept bothering her from last evening, was settled on the balcony reading a random book. She jerked off when she heard a squeal and searched around to find Kathir and Anjali down.
Maya: Ada paavingala.. She chuckled and watched them in silence but suddenly when Kathir moved forward towards Anjali she turned away, closing her eyes.
Maya: lusu lusu.. ipadiya vedika papa.. cha..
She hit herself with the book and left into the room after locking the door. She sighed looking at Surya and Jaanu asleep before she laid beside Surya. She turned and tossed for a few times trying to catch sleep but she simply couldn't. As the girls were staying together for the night Maaran and Maya were not able to meet. Both used to sleep with each other's presence and now being separated she lost sleep for the past couple of days. And today something else was also added to disturb her sleep.
Maya huffed before she got out of the room confirming the other two were asleep and she decided to peek out of the room. She silently tiptoed to his room and thanked God when the door was not locked. She just let her head peek through the door and confirming there was no one except him she left into the room locking the door behind.
Maya: Anga nan thookam varama pornadutu irukan.. ana Ivan konjam kooda kavala illama kupra adichu thoongitu irukan… she huffed before hitting him with a pillow to wake him.
She gasped when he did not wake instead took the pillow from his back and turned to the other side before hugging it to sleep.

She moved to the other side and huffed before trying to beat him but stopped when she saw him sleep peacefully. She sat beside him and caressed his hair.
Maya: Pavam tired la thoongitan pola..
She knew he had been running the whole week for the wedding bustle. Deciding not to disturb him , she slowly laid beside him, laying her head on his left arm and wound hers around his waist. She laid smiling at him and sensing her, he wound his arms around her waist and snuggled in the crook of her neck. She looked down at him and pecked his lips, making him open his eyes a little.
Maaran: Pesama thoongu kutta.. nalaiku office poganum.
Maya: office poraiya ?.. oh ayya ku Bangalore la iruka ninapo..
Maya shook her head before pecking once again and hugging him trying to sleep. Just when she was about to slip into deep sleep she felt his hot breath hit her nape. She wiggled and tried to go back to sleep but hissed when she felt a sharp pain on her nape.
Maya woke up to find herself half laying on him, hugging his torso while his both arms were wound around her shoulder and waist. She looked up at him to find him awake and chuckling at her and hit him.
Maya: Lusu yen da kadicha..
Maaran: nee enna di panra Inga.
Maya: thookam varala atha vantha…
Maaran: unaku varalaya.. same pinch.
Maya moved away from him and laid on her side balancing her head with her elbow: naan vanthathu kuda theriyama.. koratai vitu thoongitu.. unaku thookam varalaya?
Maaran: Hey inaiku tha di tired la thoongi irukan.. nan thoongi four days aachu..
Maya: Nambalama??
Maaran: nejama di..

Maya gasped when he pushed her back on the bed and hovered her.
Maya: enna da..

Maaran smirked before he looked down and when she followed his eyesight she found her half saree pallu to be improper and displayed her half naked torso. She mostly did not like to sleep in day clothes but today with the thing running in her mind she did not even want to change her clothes.
She pushed him away and sat up covering her torso and glared at him. He pouted and tried to pull her back holding her tummy but she hit him pushing his hands away.
Maaran: enna di ?

Maaran dragged her holding her forearms and hugged her from behind, placing his chin on her shoulders.

Maaran: Promise di.. he said hugging her shoulders making her glare.

Maya shook her head and sighed and they sat there silently for a few minutes.

Maya turned to look at him in surprise while he smiled hitting his forehead with hers.

Maya got out of his hold and turned to sit facing him.

Maya shook her head with a pale face making him sigh and hug her to his chest. She fisted his collar and hid herself in his chest.

Maaran was surprised to hear her speak out her fear for the first time. He knew her fear was valuable and he himself had the fear but just did let it out. Maaran hugged her tight and kissed her hair, he had no words to calm her and let his hug do it.
Maya pulled away after a few minutes and looked at his eyes.

Maya stared at his eyes for few seconds and laid on his chest again. Something about him not being direct with his answer bothered her. But knowing she was not in the right mind to decide she pushed back the thought.
Maaran himself couldn't guess why he was not direct but wanting to comfort her, he threw the thought aside. He looked down at her to find her half asleep and kissed her temple before tapping her to sleep.
The next the duo was back to normal even though they had their own fears they successfully managed them.

The street was filled with various shops of toys, candies , bangles, accessories, flowers and even some fun rides for both kids and adults. The ladies of the family were inside the temple checking the plates that had to be offered to the temple while the men were busy making the arrangements. The cousins' gang parted in small groups and roamed around the temple.
Madan, Jenny, Aadhavan and Kavya were settled below a tree when Maya came there with frown on her face.

Maya shook her head, she had already guessed the correct reason. He was guilty for her mother's death and being there would increase it. That was the reason for him not visiting the temple even after years.

He gave her his car keys and she jogged out of the temple. She started driving towards their grove which was twenty minute away from the temple. After a ten minute drive the car struggled to move. She tried her best to not stop and continue to drive but to her mishay the car stopped abruptly.
She huffed and banged on the steering when it failed to start even after she tried for a umpteenth time. She got out of the car and opened the bonnet trying to find something. She was annoyed when she could not find what was the problem and stood there trying to get some help but the whole place was abandoned as the whole village was gathered in the temple. She impatiently kept checking her watch and looking around.
She breathed out when she noticed a car at distance and waved her hands seeking for help.
Maya: Hello.
She yelled when the car moved past her but soon sighed when the car stopped crossing her car.
A man in his late twenties dressed in a pastel green shirt and half white pants walked out of the car. The moment he laid his eyes on her he walked towards her in daze. She looked gorgeous in a silk navy blue checked saree with a pink border. She did not have much makeup but she looked gorgeous with what ever she had done.
Maya shook her hand infront of him who stood mesmerized.
Maya: hello..
" Haan.. sorry.. How can I help you ? "
Maya: nan konja urgent ah veliya poitu iruntha but car problem panuthu..

Maya nodded and gave him the keys before he got on to the driver seat and tried to start the car.

The man nodded and moved out to the bonnet and checked to find something. He fixed something and once again tried to start off but failed.
" Sorry I can't guess what's the problem " he said getting out of the car.
Maya pouted making his heart skip a beat as he stared at her.
" But one second I know someone who can help.. enaku therinja mechanic irukaru.. avuru available ah nu pakaran"
Maya: Thank God.. konjam seekram kelungala..

He said and dailed someone and showed a thumps up after a minute of speaking over the phone. Maya thanked God when he said the mechanic was nearby and would be there in five minutes before he got busy with an phone call.
The man who moved aside to attend the call found Maya impatiently tapping her fingers on the car and feet on the ground. A smiled appeared on his face as he watched her walk around with a tensed face and the call was long forgotten. The mehanic arrived soon and the fault in the car was repaired.
Maya: Thank you so much… she stretched her hands to him.
He looked down at her stretched out hand before taking in his with a smile.
" With pleasure"
Maya: Sorry I am getting late, will take my leave and thank you once again.. bye.
" Bye "
She smiled at the man and got on the car before driving off.
The man stood there staring at the way her car zoom passed before shaking his head with a smile and leaving the place.
