london premiere
Yesterday, sucked. I spent the whole second day of press thinking about Kit's words. Had Jack really been looking at me like I once looked at him?
I don't think I actually retained anything from the day, I couldn't even tell you what questions the interviewers asked if I wanted to. I hadn't slept at all after Kit broke up with me, Caleigh and Bailey only fell asleep at 3am, and our wake-up call was 8am.
Long story short, all 3 of us fell asleep around 9pm last night and didn't wake up until Trinity woke us up for breakfast around 9am this morning.
"Beautiful!" Maria, the wonderful woman doing my makeup smiled as she put on the finishing touches of my makeup. I closed my eyes and let her spray my face with the setting spray before anxiously looking in the mirror.
Maria told me that she wanted to give me a darker makeup look to match the vibe of my black dress. When I saw the work she'd done on my face I was speechless. It was amazing.
"Now, into your dress, please!" Maria instructed, waving me off toward the bathroom. "Then I'll finish your hair, ok? And hurry, because you leave in an hour and I don't like to be rushed."
I quickly obeyed, the woman had only been kind to me, so the least I could do was follow her directions.
I took my dress off of the rack, lugging it with me toward the bathroom of the hotel room. Caleigh walked out of the bathroom as soon as I got to the door. My jaw dropped, she looked stunning. She wore a long, black, off-the-shoulder dress with a white feather lining at the top and her hair was in the most beautiful loose curls.
"Damn, girl." I gasped.
She giggled, waving me off, "Think Jamie will like it?"
"Oh my god." Now I was laughing.
I pushed past her and into the bathroom, ridding myself of the clothes I'd worn to get ready in. It didn't take long for me to get myself in the dress. Mine was off-the-shoulder too, the top was sheer and the bottom was all tulle. I loved it.
"Hottie!" Caleigh cheered as I walked out of the bathroom.
I sat back down, Maria instantly going back to doing my hair. She'd settled on a slicked-back look, saying it would be classy.
Caleigh came up to my side, crouching down so she could look me in the eye through the mirror. "So," she began, her eyes crinkling from her good mood. "I wonder how hot Jamie is gonna look."
"Enough about Jamie!"
Our laughter filled the room, a sound I had surely missed hearing.

"Good luck." Caleigh kissed my cheek before being ushered with the other 'loved ones' to the back of the carpet.
I wanted to hold her hand and walk the carpet, have her by my side the whole way. But all of the people working the event said that only 'famous' people could walk the carpet.
I find that incredibly unfair.
"Bailey caught me up on everything, and I mean everything."
I looked to my side, Jamie stood still beside me, his eyes on the carpet ahead of us.
I wonder how much Bailey actually told him. Did 'everything' mean all the way back to 2020? When Jack broke my heart?
"And you know how much I hate public appearances, so shall we do this together?" His eyes caught mine now, his blue eyes holding the attention of my brown ones.
"I wish Brit was here."
Britain's always been my rock, he could get me through this. But, similarly to Jamie, he despised public appearances.
The other night, after Bailey and Caleigh went to bed, I stumbled into the bathroom and facetimed him. It may have been after 3am here, but it was only about 7pm back in LA. My brother facetimed me for hours, letting me rant and cry and then offering his brotherly advice.
I'd kill for a hug from him right now.
"I understand, but I can be your substitute big brother for the night." Now Jamie was smiling, reaching his arm out to me.
I smiled back, linking my arm with his.
Someone announced us and the two of us made our way out onto the carpet. We posed for pictures together, even doing the occasional interview with each other as well. Sure, some interviewers would ask for us separately and we'd oblige. But, Jamie would make sure to always wait for me before continuing on.
Britain would be proud of him for sure.
The sound of paparazzi and interviews calling all of our names incessantly had my nerves dialed to 11. It didn't help that I somehow always heard when they'd call for Jack.
And, me being me, all broken hearted from my breakup all because of the curly haired boy, I kept glancing over at him. Hopefully no one noticed how my glances weren't just glances but longing stares. Kit's little speech had me hopeful.
I really hope that I don't fool myself into thinking he has feelings for me (again).
Jamie tugged at my hand, urging me to follow him further down the carpet. Somewhere along the line, Jamie and I had switched from holding arms to holding hands. The action had helped with my nerves.
"Stop staring at him." Jamie whispered in my ear as we strolled closer toward the building the premier would take place in.
"I can't help it."
I looked back once more, only this time, Jack was already staring back at me. Fuck. Of course he was looking this time.
Eventually, we made it inside and were ushered directly backstage. Within about 20 minutes, everyone was seated and Jim was onstage introducing us all. It didn't take long, but I did want to refuse to walk out when they called me out directly after Jack.
Which only meant i'd have to stand directly next to him.
That only lasted about 5 minutes before Jim freed us to sit down. Jamie helped me down the stairs, making sure I didn't fall, before leaving me to walk to my seat unassisted.
A smile stretched across my lips when I saw Caleigh waiting on the front row for me. But the smile quickly faded when Jack sat down with a seat between him and Caleigh, meaning that that seat was left for me.
I sent the girl a panicked look.
Without a second thought, she stood up and scooted over, placing herself as a barrier between me and Jack. She truly was the best assistant.
I sat in Caleigh's previous seat, hopeful that our rearrangement of seating wasn't suspicious.
I did, however, make the mistake of looking over toward Jack after sitting down. His eyes were already on me, except all I saw was a look of sadness. Those damn eyes that I once loved staring into now creating a pit in my stomach.
