RAIN -
"from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'what do you like to do in your free time'?" the author read. rain paused for a moment, the spade of his tail easily rising and falling as he thought.
"i enjoy lots of art forms." rain said after a moment. "i like going to the theatre on the strip and seeing whatever shows they have—i buy tickets for upcoming ones as well." rain smiled, tilting his head. the author smiled, writing everything down.
"what about music? do you write any or do you just leave it unless your in rehearsals, practices, or rituals?" the author asked. "i've tried writing—lyrics come naturally but other than that it's a bit more complicated than i'd like." rain shrugged. the author nodded, writing down his answer with a smile.
"uh, from @/mountainfangirl123," rain scoffed as a loud laugh was heard from mountain in the lounge of the common room behind him. the author laughed softly. " 'do you enjoy swimming/other activities involving water'?" the author read. rain perked up, smiling happily.
"i love it. in the winter the lake freezes over so all the water ghouls go out and cut a couple holes in the ice so we can swim. we can't be outside or in the water very long since we don't maintain temperature very well, but it's awesome swimming under the ice." rain rambled, a big smile on his face. the author smiled as well, noticing his tail had started wagging slightly.
"that does sound fun. is it an every year thing?" the author asked, writing down his answer. "mhm." rain hummed, nodding. the author smiled, looking at their list of questions.
"alright, last one." the author said, glancing up at rain. he smiled and nodded. "@/dance_with_ur_corpse wants to know what your favorite book is." the author read. rain thought for a moment.
"i don't have a favorite, i haven't found any that really strike me that much. i like fantasy, though." rain shrugged. "what's the most recent thing you've read and enjoyed, then?" the author offered a different question. rain smiled.
"i've been reading the lunar chronicles by marissa meyer. it's like, dystopian fairytales, kinda." rain answered. the author nodded and smiled.
"thank you for answering. i'm sure everyone will appreciate your answers." the author said as she put her notebook down. rain smiled.
MOUNTAIN -
"from @/StompySoap, 'what's it like being the tallest band ghoul'?"
mountain smiled widely, laughing, "it's fucking great. making fun of dew is one of my favorite pass times."
an angry yell from the mentioned fire ghoul was heard from the couch of the common room, "FUCK OFF, SKYSCRAPER!"
"my point," mountain laughed again, nodding to the couch. the author laughed, looking down at their list of questions.
"from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'if you'd ever get to choose an instrument what would it be other than drums or percussion?" the author read. mountain thought for a moment.
"i think guitar. aether has taught me a few songs and i caught on well." mountain answered, looking back up at the author and smiling. the author nodded, smiling as she wrote everything down.
"@/DustyJoint asks 'what's your secret to being so tall'?" the author read. "can't say. droplet is a couple feet away." mountain smirked. dew groaned, throwing a mini fit against rain.
"@/lluwaaa just says 'fav flower'?" the author laughed. "i like peonys, but begonias are really pretty, too." mountain smiled.
the author nodded with a smile, writing down his answer.
"last one," mountain nodded, "@/dance_with_ur_corpse asks 'what's your favorite poem'?" the author read.
"one my mother read to me a few times. i completely forget how it goes but i'm sure i could ask her to send up a written version." mountain shrugged.
"sounds perfect." the author smiled.
AETHER -
"oh.." the author laughed softly, covering their mouth. aether raised an eyebrow, not sure of that reaction.
"from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'how do you keep your dad-bod up?! it's amazing'." the author grinned, looking up at aether.
"DAD BODDD!!!!" dew yelled from the couch, both him and swiss cheering for aether and making other comments.
the quintessence ghoul flushed slightly, adjusting how he was sitting as he laughed bashfully—desperately trying to ignore the two ghouls that were making the rest of the band laugh.
"well, um, first—thank you. second— i don't really pay attention to any numbers. i kinda just eat what i know is healthy or healthy-ish for me." aether shrugged. the author nodded with a smile, looking back down at the list of questions.
"from @/SkelasitLover028, 'what's up with you and bananas'?" the author read.
"he likes sucking di-!"
"SHUT UP, DEW!" aether yelled, making the fire ghoul and swiss burst out laughing.
"i just like them. potassium is good before shows." aether mumbled. the author smiled and nodded.
"from @/lluwaaa, 'can you sit on me'?" the author read. "no." aether stated. the author laughed and nodded. "last one from @/dance_with_ur_corpse," the author said. aether nodded.
" 'why do your thighs put me in a trance like state'?" the author read, getting whoops and cheers from swiss and dew in the couch. "i have no idea. everyone likes them and i don't know why." aether laughed, the author laughing as well.
SWISS -
"you ready to start?" the author asked, checking to make sure the camera was recording the multi-ghoul. "hit me." swiss smiled widely, adjusting how he was sitting.
"alright, from @/AFewAlpacas, 'do you like being banished to the stage of shame'?" the author chuckled. swiss' smile dropped.
"i hate it. it's no fun being stuck there. i literally have to dance around just so i don't go fucking wild. it's their fault i'm there! i wouldn't act out so much if they didn't keep me contained. you hear me?!" swiss turns to look at the camera, grabbing the lens.
"it's your fault i'm on that stage! i've done nothing! NOTHIN-"
the camera cuts.
"okayyy.. you good?" the author asked as the camera was brought back up onto it's stand, swiss adjusting his clothes as he took a few deep breaths. "yeah. i'm fine." swiss nodded. "we can keep going with questions?" the author continued. swiss nodded, the author doing the same and looking down at their sheet of questions.
"umm, from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'how do you keep your teeth so white'?" the author read. swiss shrugged, "i just brush my teeth, i dunno what to say." the author laughed and nodded.
"perfectly okay. last one, from @/dance_with_ur_corpse, 'what's your favorite instrument to play'?" the author read.
"guitar or tambourine." swiss said. the author nodded and wrote down his answer.
"perfect. thank you for your time." the author smiled. swiss shrugged, waving off the formalities with a smile. "would you like to shimmy for your fans?" the author asked. swiss laughed, doing a little shimmy, in which dew and rain started cheering excessively.
DEW -
"from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'are you scared of the ghoulettes? if you are or not, what do you think of them'?" the author read. dew froze, feeling the burning stares of the ghoulettes from the common room.
"cirrus helps me keep my bearings, cumulus braids my hair, and sunshine gets high with swiss and i sometimes—they're all cool." dew offered before leaning in closer and lowering his voice.
"cirrus scares the shit out of me, cumulus is like a dissapointed mom when she's mad, and sunshine is borderline feral." dew whispered. the author laughed, nodding as she wrote everything down.
dew sat back, looking over his shoulder to see the ghoulettes eyeing him suspiciously. he quickly turned back around as the author began reading another question.
"@/DustyJoint wants to know how many guitars you've broken." the author said. dew went to answer but paused, bringing up his clawed hand and counting his fingers.
"11? i think?" dew guessed. the author laughed, shaking their head and writing down his answer.
"@/Shailoq asks 'what's something you wish people knew about yourself that's often overlooked?" the author read. dew paused, getting lost in his thoughts.
"dew?" the author asked. dew blinked, looking at the author. "um.. i guess that i deal with my own mental shit, too. i'm not just some horny bastard. like, i'm an asshole but, y'know.. i have emotions and reactions to the same things everyone else does." dew shrugged. the author stopped for a moment, looking at the fire ghoul.
"do you need a hug?" she asked. dew laughed softly, shrugging. the author rolled their eyes, tossing her notebook down and pulling dew into a hug.
dew smiled, hugging the author back.
"i hope you know that you have lots of people who care about you." the author whispered. dew's smile softened as he nodded, squeezing her a bit tighter.
"alright, next question." dew stated, backing out of the hug and adjusting excitedly in his chair. the author chuckled and nodded, looking down at their list.
"oh, uh, i'll just put these together. @/lluwaa wants to know who you've slept with in the band, and @/dance_with_ur_corpse basically wants to know the same thing." the author cringed, looking up at dew.
the fire ghoul sighed, rubbing his face as he shook his head.
"i'm sorry, dew." the author sighed. dew shook his head again.
"it's alright."
SPECIAL -
"from @/yeetyeetyeet120, 'oi, what's your favorite instrument'?" the author chuckled, trying their best not to fake an accent. special chuckled, glancing up as he thought about the question.
"uh, i'd say guitar. i can get really into whatever i'm playing, but walking around is pretty necessary for whenever i'm on stage—so, uh, yeah." special nodded. "perfect," the author smiled, writing down his answer.
"last one from @/dance_with_ur_corpse, 'what's your favorite song to play'?" the author read.
"i like playing all of them. right now i think it's pro memoria, i have no idea why." special laughed. the author laughed as well, writing down his answer.
"perfect. thanks for answering." the author smiled. special nodded, "of course."
PAPAS
PAPA PRIMO -
"good evening, papa." the author smiled as the eldest papa sat down behind his desk. primo nodded politely. "a few siblings have had some questions and we're recording for a log of this time period's papas. is that okay?" the author asked. "of course." primo gave a soft smile. "if you don't want to answer anything i'll move on." the author said before reading a question.
"from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'what is the best way to look after a bonsai tree? i'd like to grow one'." the author read. primo hummed, thinking for a moment.
"i cannot say i've ever taken care of a bonsai, though they are magnificent. there are many good sources on the google for research. i'd recommend those." primo explained. the author held back an affectionate laugh at 'the google' and nodded, writing down his answer.
"next, from @/DustyJoint, 'what's your favorite flower? where can you find it'?" the author read.
"oh, there are so many beautiful ones. i think my favorites are 'crown imperials' as of now. i believe they grow in and around turkey, but i am not too sure." primo offered. "very beautiful name. do you have a second favorite?" the author asked, writing down the first papa's answer. "hmm, no. i don't believe so. too many ties." papa shrugged. the author smiled and nodded.
"um, last one from @/dance_with_ur_corpse, 'what's your favorite thing to plant'?" the author read.
"i plant herbs the most, so those are the easiest. but i enjoy planting trees—i don't do it often so it's a nice change of pace." primo offered.
"perfect. thank you for your time, papa." the author smiled. primo smiled, nodding.
PAPA SECONDO -
"from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'secondo...question... are you pitbull or ARE you pitbull'?" the author asked with a grin. secondo smirked, humming as he pretended to think.
"no comment." secondo's teeth showed slightly as he smiled. the author chuckled and nodded, writing down his answer.
"alright, next question?" the author offered. secondo smirked, not answering. the author looked up, raising an eyebrow.
"dale." secondo said lowly. the author snorted, slapping her hand to their face as she laughed. secondo laughed along, smiling widely.
"okay," the author breathed as they calmed down, secondo still grinning. "from @/dance_with_ur_corpse, 'how do you get your head to shine'?" the author read, laughing softly. secondo laughed softly.
"lots of moisturizer." he smiled. the author smiled and nodded, writing down his answer.
"that was actually the last one. thank you, papa." the author grinned. "thank you for making me laugh," secondo smiled back.
PAPA TERZO -
"alright.. from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'terzo, have you-' oh.." the author trailed off. terzo raised an eyebrow. "go on." terzo encouraged. the author looked up, swallowing a lump in her throat.
"it's relative to nihil. are you sure?" the author asked. terzo paused for a moment, staring at the author. "y-.. yes, i am sure." terzo nodded.
"okay.." the author sighed, looking back down at the sheet. " 'terzo, have you ever thought that you look like your dad? your papal face-" the author was cut off.
"next question." terzo stated. the author nodded, quickly looking at the next question on the list.
"from @/yeetyeetyeet120, 'can i have a hug' with lots of emojis." the author read, looking up at the third papa.
"if i hug you would that translate to uh.. yeet-yeet?" terzo asked. the author shrugged and nodded. terzo smiled, leaning forward in his chair and hugging the author.
the author laughed softly, hugging terzo back and letting him let go whenever he wanted to. when terzo pulled away, he pressed a kiss to the author's temple, smiling as he sat back in his chair.
the author smiled back before looking down at their notebook.
"um, last one from @/lluwaaa, 'rate your twerking abilities out of 10'." the author smiled. terzo laughed, his head leaning back slightly.
"i feel that's for them to decide," terzo grinned. the author laughed and nodded, writing down his answer.
PAPA COPIA -
"from @/MusicalTreeAF, 'how many rats do you have in your basement'?" the author looked up from her notebook.
"i do not have a basement." copia said, shifting in his seat. the author raised an eyebrow, tilting their head to the side. copia pursed his lips before letting out a quick breath.
"fine! i have 27 in the catacombs and mountain watches over them!" copia exasperated. the author smirked, chuckling softly as they nodded, writing down his answer.
"you can't show this to anyone. i'll be in trouble." copia said. the author hummed and nodded, looking up. "your secret is safe with me." the author smiled. copia nodded, the author looking back down at the sheet.
"from @/Queen_Nugget17, 'list every rat you have had'." the author read. copia nodded, thinking for a moment.
"when i was a kid i had berlin, remy, and emile." copia said. "and now?" the author asked. copia took a deep breath.
"hamlet, biggie cheese, cheeto, sunny, berliner, donut, graham, riggy, one, two, may, october, march, winter, peanut, jelly, bert, ratbert, fang, luke, raticate, squeak, mary, master splinter, morpeko, pepper, and cabbage."
the author stared at copia in shock as he took a deep breath in, holding it and staring back at the author.
"well then.." the author trailed off, not even bothering to write all the names down, knowing they were recorded. the author looked down at their list of questions.
"uh, from @/spence_yohhhh, 'what's one of your favorite moments you've shared with your rats'?" the author read.
"the night before i was crowned papa they all slept around me and calmed me down from many anxious episodes." copia said, not even having to think. "very cute." the author smiled. copia nodded, smiling as well.
"um, from @/DustyJoint, 'which one of your rats are your favorite and why'?" the author read.
"i cannot answer that." copia stated. the author chuckled, nodding.
"last one from @/dance_with_ur_corpse, 'if you could get as many rats as you want, how many would you get and why'?" the author read.
"i already have too many, but i'd love much more." copia smiled. the author grinned and nodded.
"well, thank you for answering, papa." the author smiled. copia nodded, smiling softly back.
