I promised Scaramouche I'd never leave him, and I intended to keep it.
But, in order to keep this promise, I had to hurt him.
They told me it could be physical, or mental.

Scaramouche had joined up with me on my adventures, and I'd gotten to see him smile a lot.
"Hey, why do you smile so much?"
I questioned, and he looked at me.
"Don't worry, it's not you if you were wondering."
He spoke, and I laughed, nodding.

We had so much fun on our adventures....
But fun times need to come to an end at some point.

Me and scaramouche wielded our weapons, being surrounded by the fatui.
'Time to deploy my plan.'
I spoke, not caring for the safety of the fatui surrounding me.
Me and Scaramouche fought the fatui, managing to keep up with their reflexes.
I noticed one going to shoot scaramouche with an arrow, but I shielded him with my body, the center of my chest taking the shot instead.
I bit my lip, willing myself not to cry out in pain.
I continued fighting, and we finally defeated all of them.
"Jeez, how did they even know where we were. Hm, Y/N- Y/N?!"
He shouted, running over to me, as I fell to my knees, coughing up blood.
"Y/N!"
He cried out, as he hugged me close to his body.
"You promised! You promised!"
I smiled sadly, pressing my forehead to his.
"You promised you wouldnt leave! You were like a mother to me! So why! WHY, WHY, WHY?!"
He shouted, his tears pouring, and for a moment, he looked like a porcelain doll, one that had been..dropped and cracked many times.
I smiled sadly, hugging him weakly.
He hugged back, knowing this might be the last time he sees me.
"3 days."
I spoke, and he looked at me, confused and sad.
"What?"
He whispered.
"In 3 days..I will-..."
I couldn't finish my sentence, as my vision turned blurry, before I closed my eyes, and felt my heartbeat slow down, till it stopped.

"Y/N? Y/N?! YOU CANT LEAVE ME LIKE THIS YOU TRAITOR!"
The boy cried, holding the cold body close to his.
A veil of rain and wind blocked any view of the 2, before purple lighting struck, burning the wet and bloodied patches of grass.
The boy picked up the body, before heading underground.
He cleaned the wound on the body, before wrapping it.
The Boy waited.. and waited..and waited.
Soon, it had been several years.
But he still waited.

One day..

"Ow! Shit! After 3 days that bitch of a arrow wound still hurts!"
I yelled out, hearing footsteps come from somewhere, presumably upstairs, before the door was slammed open, revealing an out of breath scaramouche.
He looked at me, wide eyed tears starting to brim.
"Y-Y/N?"
He questioned, seemingly in disbelief.
"Hey scara..was I gone long?"
I quietly questioned, and he ran towards me, hugging me tightly.
"I thought I lost you!"
He sobbed loudly, as his tears soaked my bandages.
"Shh..it's ok now. I'm here now..I won't ever be leaving you again.."
I spoke calmly, laying back down as he cuddled into my side, arms wrapped around my waist, like if he let go, I'd leave him again.
"I'm sorry..I'm not sure how long I was gone, but by your reaction, it was a long time."
I spoke softly, and his grip on my waist tightened.
I turned to him, kissing his forehead, before wrapping my arms around him, hugging him.
He hugged me back still sobbing.
I soon heard soft snores, and I smiled softly, carefully running my fingers through his hair.
Soon, I felt tired, as I also drifted off to sleep..
