—RAIN—
- it had been a long day of filling out paper work to join the ministry as a sister of sin.
- f/n had finally convinced you to join, though the thought of being around rain most definitely swayed your decision.
- you had stumbled your way to rain's room and everything that led to you realizing really just fell into place from there.
you sighed as you knocked on rain's door, trying not to pass out from how exhausted you were.
imperator had given you many different tests to take, quizzes to study for, and books to read. on top of that, there was the mountain of paperwork that she had you fill out. all to join the ministry. all to be with f/n more. to be with rain.
the wooden door opened, revealing rain without his mask. his eyes widened when he saw you, your eyes doing the same.
"uh.. hey." you stated. "oh, satan this wasn't supposed to happen.." rain panicked, pulling you into his room and closing the door. rain whipped around to face you, gently holding your shoulders.
you mentally thanked rain, the action keeping you upright rather than falling over from exhaustion.
"you can't tell anyone you've seen my face." rain panicked, though all you could think about was how good his hair looked. "okay." you nodded.
"'okay'? what? are you not going to react?" rain asked. you smiled tiredly, feeling your face heat up as words spewed from your mouth before you could process them.
"you look good." you slurred. rain's eyebrows shot up as he blushed madly. "are you drunk?" rain asked. you shook your head.
"no. i just had a long day with imperator." you stated. "you need to sit down." rain whispered urgently as he watched you begin to sway in his hold.
"why were you with imperator?" rain asked as he sat you on his bed, looking at you after. he smiled softly as he brushed some of your hair out of your face. "i'm joining the ministry." you smiled tiredly. rain froze.
"you.. you're what?" rain stumbled, completely stunned. "i'm joining the ministry." you repeated—and rain could've cried.
you startled slightly as rain pulled you to your feet, hugging you tightly. you smiled, hugging rain back and burying your face into the crook of his neck, enjoying not being hit with the bottom of his helmet.
"imperator probably dragged you through hell and back with all her joining shit." rain chuckled breathlessly, trying to blink away the happy tears that had formed in his eyes. "no wonder you're so tired." he continued, pulling away from the hug and pressing his forehead to yours. you smiled, closing your eyes and enjoying the proximity, butterflies starting in your stomach.
"i would've gone to f/n's but they're probably blacked out. spending the night with you doesn't sound too bad if you're up for it." you spoke, not noticing how rain's eyes lit up, his blush coming back as he nodded, sitting you on his bed and rushing to his dresser to get some clothes out for you.
"here," rain smiled, placing a pair of sweatpants that were too small for him and one of his crew necks in your arms. "yell for me when you're done." rain continued, the door to his room closing right as he finished speaking, leaving you alone in the water ghoul's room.
"rainnnn!" you called as you set your clothes on the floor in the corner, making sure they were as neatly folded as you could get them in your exhausted state.
immediately, rain was coming back into his room, smiling widely at you.
his eyes danced up and down your body as he examined you in his clothes, his stomach doing flips as his heart ran a couple hundred miles an hour.
"i think you need a nickname." you slurred, stumbling over to rain's bed with his help. "really?" rain questioned, subtly entertaining you.
"mhm.." you nodded, climbing into his bed, laying down closest to the wall. "and what would that be?" rain asked, climbing into bed next to you, laying his head on his pillow. you rolled onto your side, looking into his blue eyes that seemed to be fading to brown as he became more relaxed.
"raindrop." you grinned. rain's face immediately caught on fire as he smiled widely. "i like it." rain whispered. "you do?" you asked. rain hummed and nodded, pulling you closer to him for a hug. you smiled, leaning into his chest as he ran his fingers through your hair.
something flicked in your mind at the action, your eyebrows furrowing.
"rain?" you mumbled. "hm?" rain hummed, rubbing your back to sooth the tension you'd gained. "thank you for letting me stay the night.." you mumbled as realization dawned on you, your face heating up.
i like rain.. you thought.
"'course.. don't want you getting hurt." rain said, his voice low as he pressed a short kiss to your forehead. you're face heated up even more at the sound of his voice rumbling in your ear.
i love rain... you amended.
—MOUNTAIN—
- you were talking to swiss, funnily enough.
- apparently swiss thought that you and mountain would be a good couple, so he was trying to set you two up.
"c'mon, mountain is one of the best ghouls here and he's closest with you out of everyone else. you aren't even a part of the ministry yet!" swiss groaned, setting his cup down. you rolled your eyes. "that doesn't mean that i like him. plus, even if i did, i doubt he'd like me back." you deadpanned. swiss could've laughed, but he knew he had to keep mountain's feelings for you a secret until the earth ghoul was ready.
"who even set you up to this anyway? was it dew? y'all probably think this is hilarious." you scoffed. swiss immediately sat upright, staring you dead in the eye.
"this is all me, y/n. i asked aether about it and he thought you and mountain would be cute together too. do you seriously have no feelings for him?" swiss asked. "none." you stated, looking down at your hands and messing with your fingers. "look me in the eye and tell me that—maybe i'll believe you." swiss deadpanned. you looked up staring swiss in the eye and opening your mouth to talk.
but nothing came out.
you're heart dropped as realization dawned on you.
i like mountain.. you thought.
swiss' deadpan quickly morphed into a smile as he slammed his fist down onto the table, pointing at you after.
"i knew it!" swiss exclaimed victoriously. "n-no! i don't like him!" you quickly sputtered out, your face heating up dramatically. "oh you so do. you like mountain!" swiss laughed. "shh! shut up shut up shut up!" you hissed. swiss quieted down, leaning on the table as he grinned happily.
"you like mountain!" swiss whispered giddily. you sighed, flicking the multi-ghoul in the forehead. "ow!" swiss whined.
"that's what you get for making me have an extreme emotional realization in front of everyone." you hissed. swiss grinned.
"you like mountain!" he teased in a quiet sing-song tone.
you groaned.
—AETHER—
- you had a dream about him.

- it was actually quite cute.
you laughed happily as aether wrapped you in a hug, rocking you both side to side.
"what's this about?" you asked, grinning into the quintessence ghoul's chest. "can a ghoul not hug his best friend without reason?" aether asked, resting his chin on your head. "i thought dew was your best friend?" you asked, messing with aether. he froze.
"i can have two best friends, right? cause if dew found out i just called you my-" you cut aether off from his anxious rambling. "i'm just teasing aether," you laughed, pulling out of the hug and looking up at him. "you can have however many best friends you want." you smiled, placing your hand on the quintessence ghoul's chest. aether smiled down at you, tilting his head.
"what?" you asked. "nothing. you're just the most beautiful person i've ever seen." aether grinned.
...
"wha-?"
"Y/N!"
you jumped, startled out of your sleep as you looked around hastily. aether was standing next to you with his hand on your back, rubbing circles to calm you down.
you were in the library, remembering that you were finishing up the damn translation book for secondo.
"you okay? i've never seen you fall asleep while working before.." aether asked, sitting next to you. you nodded, rubbing your face to wake you up, trying to remember what you were dreaming about.
your eyes widened as you froze.
"satanas.." you whispered as you realized you had just dreamed about aether. aether of all ghouls. of everyone at the ministry.
last time you had a dream like that you got into a serious relationship with that person.
what the fuck.
"y/n? what's wrong?" aether asked, turning your chair so you would look at him. your face heated up dramatically as you realized the ghoul you just had a crush dream about was sat right in front of you. he woke you up from a dream about himself.
fuck.
"i-i'm just not feeling that good.. i'm probably fine-" you tried to come ip with an excuse, though you were cut off by aether freaking out about your health.
"you're sick? oh satan, you need to lay down. how's your temperature-?" aether panicked, pressing his hand to your forehead and cheeks. "you're burning up." aether breathed, turning to your work and starting to pack it into your bag.
"aeth- aether! what are you doing?" you asked. "you're sick. you're going to rest. now let's go. up. c'mon." aether said, turning to you and standing you up, picking up your bag and putting it over his shoulder.
"i can carry my own bag, aeth." you sighed, walking alongside the quintessence ghoul. "i don't care," aether started, taking your hand in his—in turn, making your stomach churn in knots and your heart start beating a million miles an hour. "you're not feeling good and i'm going to take care of you. what's your favorite kind of soup? do you like tea? do you feel like you need advil-?"
you subconsciously tuned aether out as you watched him ramble over anything he could think of to make you feel better, a smile gracing your face.
"what?" aether asked, finally realizing you had been staring at him, his face heating up slightly. "it's just cute that you're so worried about me. i'm fine, aeth." you chuckled. aether stopped dead in his tracks.
"what?" you asked, smiling as you slightly mimicked aether. "did you just call me cute?" aether asked. your smile dropped as your face heated up again, your heart skipping a few beats. "uh- well, i mean.. yeah but in like a-" aether cut you off, putting his hand on your forehead again. "you don't feel like your better." he frowned, his hand on your face only making you heat up more.
"y'know what.. i think i could use an off day." you sighed in defeat of your feelings, leaning into aether as he smiled, walking you to your room.
you smiled softly.

—SWISS—
- he stood up for you.
- whoa power dynamic change !!
- just kidding, you were having a bad day and some ghoul you had never heard of was just making it worse.
- swiss came to your rescue as you were about to break down and told the young ghoul off, holding you close to him afterward.
"what did you say your name was? y/n? y'know for someone spoken so highly of in the upper clergy you really are just kind of.. boring. i expected more." a ghoul rambled as he walked along side you.
your breath shuddered as you tried to ignore hazu. he was a newly summoned fire ghoul and seemed to still be learning his place in the church.
"seriously, i mean, sister imperator seems to be cautious of you. i thought you'd be more intimidating in all honesty." hazu laughed, siblings of sin looking shocked that you were taking all of this from a new ghoul as you walked by.
"what did you do that veered off imperator, huh? did you read her a book? you seem to read a lot. kinda lame if you ask me." hazu commented, gesturing to the books in your hands. copia's books. the ones he gifted you a couple months back as a congratulations gift for ranking highest in the ministry's exams.
"i've also heard that copia favors you. what did you have to do to get that kind of treatment? did you suck his di-?" hazu was cut off as you began shaking.
"enough, hazu." someone growled as they fell into step between you and the fire ghoul, their tone scarily authoritative. you looked over, seeing swiss glaring down at the young ghoul.
"swiss!! i was just about to bring you up." hazu smiled. "and say what about me? it seems that your tormenting y/n about everything and everyone she cares about. what gives you the right?" swiss hissed. hazu's eyes widened slightly.
"w-well, i mean-.. um.." hazu stumbled over himself as he stopped walking, you and swiss stopping as well as swiss hugged you to his side.
"you forget yourself, hazu. you're young. you're new. don't let the cautious treatment of everyone get to your head. the only reason someone hasn't put you in your place yet is because papa emeritus iv has asked everyone to back off for a couple weeks while you get settled. keep whatever your doing up and you'll regret it by the end of the month." swiss seethed, a few siblings of sin 'ooh'-ing before hurrying out of the hallway.
"do you understand?" swiss asked, his tone remaining authoritative. hazu looked down at his feet, holding his hands behind his back. "yes, swiss. i understand." hazu whispered. "good. go find something useful to do." swiss dismissed the young ghoul. hazu nodded, clicking his heels together before turning around and hurrying off, breaking into a sprint as he turned a corner.
"are you okay? i know your day hasn't been the best and that prick just-" you cut swiss off by hugging him tightly. swiss sighed as he hugged you back, gently taking your books from your grasp and slipping them into his bag as he hugged you back.
"i'll always be there for you, y/n. you know that, right?" swiss asked, his voice low as he spoke into your hair. you paused, feeling your stomach start churning.
"i.. i know.. thank you." you mumbled. "of course.. anything to make sure you're happy." swiss whispered, pressing a kiss to your head before hugging you even tighter.
your face heated up as you basked in the hug, feeling your heart pick up it's pace as swiss rubbed your back softly.
suddenly, realization dawned on you.

"y/n?" swiss whispered. you hummed shakily, trying not to show how caught off guard you were. "it's almost lunch and we both have a free hour. do you maybe want to go out to the town and get a bite to eat?" swiss asked. you smiled, pulling away from the hug and looking up at him.
"i'd love to."
—DEW—
- you were taking care of him after he got wasted at a party.
- he was blacked out and had no control over what he was saying, leading to some questionable conversations.
"y/nnnn~" dew called, his voice muffled by your door. confused, you stood up from your bed and walked over, opening the wooden door, quickly catching dew as he fell into your room.
"hi~" dew smiled, his eyes crinkled as he looked up at you. you cringed at the smell of alcohol coming off of him. "hi. are you drunk?" you asked, standing dew up and walking him over to your chair in the corner of the room. "wasted." dew said truthfully as you sat him down.
"what did you come here for?" you asked, walking over to your door and closing it, getting some of his clothes out of your dresser from your many sleepovers and walking over to him.
"i wanted to see you~!" dew smiled, staring up at you lovingly. you sighed. "okay. you can see me after you get dressed. yell for me when you're done." you explained, beginning to walk away after.
"waaaait!" dew whined, grabbing onto your hand. you turned around, raising an eyebrow. "i love you." dew grinned. you sighed. "i'm sure you do." you stated, taking his hand off of your arm. "i do!" dew huffed. "okay, love me when you're done changing. what do you do when you're done?" you asked, looking down at the fire ghoul as he began pouting, making you grin at how childish he looked.
"yell for you." dew grumbled. "good." you smiled, pressing a quick kiss to his helmet before walking out.
after about 7 minutes, you heard dew's muffled voice yelling for you. when you walked into your room, you saw dew looking at himself in your mirror.
"y/n, look. he's copying me." dew stated, waving his arms around. "i had no idea you were a stupid drunk." you laughed, closing your door and walking over to the swaying ghoul. dew smiled as he turned around, looking at you with lidded eyes.
"i wanted to take my helmet off but i couldn't.." dew slurred, sounding tired. you raised an eyebrow. you, somehow, had never seen dew without his mask. he had told you many times that he wanted to show you his face, but he wasn't allowed to because of ministry rules.
i mean.. if he's drunk then he wasn't thinking right.. right? you thought to yourself.
"do you want help?" you asked, honestly surprised you were about to break one of the biggest ministry rules. dew smiled and nodded.
you quickly unbuckled his helmet and slowly slipped it off, avoiding his golden-white horns. you gently placed the helmet on your dresser, your jaw dropping as you looked at dew.
dew smiled, his eyes closed tiredly as he leaned into your hand which was rested on his cheek. you smiled softly, grazing your thumb over his cheekbone.
you tilted your head as you listened to the fire ghoul begin purring, a gentle blush hearing up your face as you examined dew.
you had always been somewhat enthralled with him, not really knowing why. but you did now.
there was no doubt about it, you liked the fire ghoul. everything about him.
his personality—his humor—the way he acted all chaotic in public but as soon as you were alone with him he'd soften up—and now, his face.
everything. you liked—no, loved—you loved everything about him.
"y/n.." dew mumbled, pulling you from your thoughts. "hm?" you hummed softly. dew opened his eyes, his pupils blown with either an emotion you couldn't make out or being blackout drunk. you let yourself think it was a mix of both.
"can we lay down? my legs are wobbly.." dew mumbled. "oh- yeah. yeah, of course." you nodded, taking dew's hand in yours and walking him over to your bed.
dew climbed in, laying on the side closest to the wall and laying on his side, watching you turn your lights off and climb into bed next to him.
"y/n?" dew asked. you hummed once more as the fire ghoul scooted closer to you. "you kissed my helmet earlier." dew stated. you nodded, resting your chin on his head as he buried his face into your collar bone. "i want a kiss now." dew mumbled. you froze.
"what?" you asked. "i want a kiss like the one earlier but without my helmet blocking it." dew explained, his words slurred. you chuckled slightly, relaxing as you pressed a kiss to dew's forehead. you felt dew smile into your collar, a gentle purring rumbling in his chest.
"thank you." dew mumbled. "you're welcome, dew." you chuckled.
...
"i still love you." dew stated. you sighed. "i'm sure you do." dew nodded, pausing for a moment.
"do you love me back?"
"go to sleep, dew."
he huffed.
...
