Ru Qin knocked on the door as he entered inside, and Wang Lei looked up at him. Ru Qin walked and stopped in front of him as he bowed down to him. Wang Lei stares at him emotionlessly...He was beyond angry, but he was trying his best to keep his calm.
'Forgive me, Lei.' Ru Qin said as he apologised and looked up at his angry face. He knew his mistake...he realised he had just caused him even more pain...he understood he stained their relationship even further instead of mending it.
'Do you think you deserve my forgiveness? Why did you do it, Ru Qin?' Wang Lei asked hurtfully, and Ru Qin felt even more guilty, but he stayed quiet. He can't tell him; his wife was behind all of this.
'Are you going to stay all silent over it?' Wang Lei screamed as he stood up and glared towards him while fuming with anger.
'Forgive me.' Ru Qin said he was still not telling him why he did it and Wang Lei breathed in and out to calm himself down.
'You are not forgiven neither you ever will...you don't deserve my forgiveness.' Wang Lei said then turned over and walked away disappointedly. He stopped in front of his window and stares out while Ru Qin stares at his back in pain.
'Then at least tell me about the man you left me for... I need information about him to solve the current police officer case?' He heard Wang Lei asking softly after a few seconds and Ru Qin bit the inside of his lips since he wanted to help him because he was asking for it but he knew he can't...He wanted to tell him because helping him was the least he can do for him now but he was helpless.
'Not going to say anything again...did you ever care about me or even love me?' Wang Lei turned over and asked heartbrokenly and Ru Qin stares at him.
'Why are you protecting him? Why? I don't get it why are you protecting him when you still want me? What is it that you want Ru Qin?' Wang Lei asked
'I want you...I always loved you and always will.... I never love any other man.' Ru Qin slowly confessed and Wang Lei stares at him surprised and confused over his confession.
'What? You left me for someone else...you betrayed me and now you are saying you never love anyone else.' Wang Lei asked puzzled
'Do you really think people from the palace would want me to be with you, Wang Lei? Do you think they accepted a poor slave like me being with you?' Ru Qin questioned and Wang Lei was shocked and stared at him because he was not asking the wrong question...Wang Lei never thought like this and who would have the most problem Wang Lei knew from the palace...it was his own father.
'Does that have something to do with my father?' Wang Lei asked slowly as his heart was rapidly beating inside his chest. He was not ready to hear the answer.
'Think bigger Wang Lei...there are more people involved. I can give you all the information about the man I betrayed you for, but it will not be helpful. He was just a pawn who took the money and pretended to be with me.' Ru Qin replied and Wang Lei stares at him.
'Then who?' Wang Lei whispered asking because all this new information was making him dizzy. Ru Qin was telling him things he never thought about...All his life he was in self-pity mode that Ru Qin betrayed him without even once thinking there could be more. The man who had always been madly in love with him suddenly betrayed him and not even once did he thinks there could be a foul play which he should have thought as an Emperor. If that case was about someone else, he knew he would have but he was too busy playing the victim card since it was about him.
'Find it yourself. I have no more information for you anymore.' Ru Qin said then he bowed down, greeted him and walked off in the hope that he will find everything himself.
Wang Lei sighed as he sat on his place deep in thoughts when there was knock on his door as Feng Zhi entered inside. He greeted him.
'The preparations for trip to Lian Dynasty is completed. You can begin your journey by tonight.' Feng Zhi informed him as Wang Lei nodded his head
'Is Huang Dewei ready as well?' Wang Lei asked and Feng Zhi nodded his head
'I understand. You can go. We will begin our journey by tonight.' Wang Lei said and Feng Zhi nodded his head then turned over and walked out. He came out from Wang Lei's resident as his gaze fell on Xue Ming standing laughing talk to some maid. They were laughing as Feng Zhi glared towards them. They were definitely flirting. Feng Zhi thought annoyed when Xue Ming felt a gaze over him and looked up. Their eyes met and Feng Zhi quickly looked away and walked away.
Xue Ming saw him walking away then sighed. He will never going to have a chance with him? He was completely ignoring him like he does not exist and that was painful to Xue Ming but he can't complaint. They share no emotional relationship other then a drunk one night stand which mean nothing of him either. All he could do was just try to forget about his one sided feeling for him.
As the night slowly took over, Wang Lei said his goodbye to everyone and sat down in his royal carriage where Huang Dewei was already sitting. Nobody said goodbye nicely to Huang Dewei and Wang Lei felt his family rudeness again but said nothing. He signal his guard and started their journey. He closed the curtains of the carriage and looked towards Huang Dewei who was quietly sitting at the side. They have not talk since he discuss about pearl magic and he had no idea what he had been thinking. It has been two days since that discussion and Wang Lei was little worried over his silence now
'Weiwei...' Wang Lei softly called out to him and Huang Dewei looked towards him
'Are you angry with me?' Wang Lei asked softly as he moved and touched his face
'I am not angry with you.' Huang Dewei said gently and pushed away his hand as he looked away. Wang Lei was hurt with his action.
'If you don't want pearl magic to happen then it won't. Forget about it that I even ask from you...I don't want you to act coldly with me for something.' Wang Lei said and Huang Dewei snapped his head towards him
'Do you think it's that easy to forget and move on...you gave me a hope and now you wanted me to forget about it.' Huang Dewei said as tears formed in his eyes and Wang Lei was troubled not understanding what he was thinking and what he wanted
'Then do you want it to happen?'
'Your family will never accept. I can handle however they treat me but I won't tolerant same happening with my child if I somehow end up miraculously giving birth.' Huang Dewei replied harshly as tears rolled out from his eyes. Wang Lei moved his hand to clear his tears but he looked away. The life in palace was indeed hard for him and Wang Lei understand that.
'Weiwei...don't you trust me?' Wang Lei asked and Huang Dewei did not look towards him as he kept crying. Wang Lei waited as he let him cry but then he could not and he pulled him towards him. He forced him to looked up in his eyes
'You have to trust me. We will try. It might not work out. I am more scared for you Weiwei...they say it is even dangerous for you. You are thinking too much. They will even give you more respect since you will have power over anyone and everyone.' Wang Lei said as he tried explaining to him as he cleaned off his tears.
'What if you have a child with Xin Ying in future then my child will be called illegitimate and will be looked down even more.' Huang Dewei said confessing his fears
'You have no trust in me...why would I have a child with Xin Ying if I love you...I won't cheat on you.' Wang Lei said as
'Sleeping with your wife is not cheating. That what a mistress should always know.' Huang Dewei said and Wang Lei sighed frustrated not knowing how to ease his insecurities and worries. Wang Lei moved him and made him sat down in his lap.
'Then do you want her position?' Wang Lei asked and Huang Dewei eyes widen.
'What?'
'Let's try and if you get pregnant then I will give you same place as her.' Wang Lei promised as they both were looking at each other.
'I never ask for it. I don't want same place as well. The emperor can't have two wives.' Huang Dewei said as he does not like his suggestion.
'Then I will give you her place.' Wang Lei simply said
'Have you lost your mind?' Huang Dewei asked on how serious he was talking of giving him place as his wife.
'Probably after falling in love with you.' Wang Lei said as he laugh
'It's not funny...You...you....you are insane.' Huang Dewei shutter still shocked
'For you...I am insane for you.' Wang Lei confessed and Huang Dewei was shocked
'I can't hurt Xin Ying...we should not hurt her.' Huang Dewei said gently
'If you are going to show this much care for her as your ex then I definitely want to hurt her.' Wang Lei confessed and Huang Dewei just stares at him.
'She is your wife?' Huang Dewei weakly reminded him because he was scarying him.
'Who faked her pregnancy?' Wang Lei said as he sarcastically laugh and Huang Dewei felt his breath stopped because as much he remembered Xin Ying did not told him. She has no intention of telling him.
'How...how...you know?'
'I know everything Weiwei...I end up knowing everything. The doctor told me she think Xin Ying is not pregnant after she pretended she got a miscarriage. She tried to bribe the doctor as well. I did not know about it sooner but I knew after all the act she had pulled at me. She gave me dream and hope that I will be father and it was all fake. You knew about it Weiwei? Were you also part of her plan?'
'I...I...I...' Huang Dewei shutter not knowing what to say as his heart was rapidly beating inside his chest. He felt guilty for hiding from him.
'You did know about it, is not? Were you protecting her?' Wang Lei asked hurtfully as Huang Dewei quickly shook away his head
'I was protecting you...I knew it will break your heart. I would never choose her over you, Wang Lei.' Huang Dewei confessed scared and nervous over how badly Wang Lei will react but he just smile. He moved forward and gave him a kiss on his lips.
'I know...I trust you so you should trust me too.' Wang Lei said and Huang Dewei nodded his head as Wang Lei moved forward and grabbed his lips for passionate kiss then pulled him down from his lap. He gave him warm smile which made Huang Dewei calm down as well and then he made Huang Dewei sat down next to him and the rest of journey went in complete silence.

I know it's an update after a long time. It's just life happens. It was my wedding and now I am married person (Yaaayy). It's a new life with a lot of changes so I took a small break. Hope you all have not forgotten the last chapter and enjoy reading. I will try to update sooner next time.
